  • When the infantry and Special Forces can’t finish the job, then the trans human super soldiers are called in. These warriors are the elites of the elite, created for one thing & one thing only, and that is to neutralize & defeat the enemy at any cost. They are often more powerful, faster, smarter & more well equipped and better trained than even the special forces of a sci-fi human army. And so here in this video we will compare 4 of these supersoldiers from different franchises, The Augments from Star Trek, The Ghosts of Starcraft, The Spartans of Halo and The Astartes of 40K

Different from the other spell casters the Ghost has a serious attack and can use all it's abilities while cloaked. AND it's most important spells don't have to be researched, they can be used right away.

    Plot armor disregarded it's Space Marines all the way. 20 additional implants/organs that let them eat poisoned food, have an additional heart and lungs, their bones are laced with ceramics and their ribs fuse together to build one solid armored skeleton that is much harder than normal bone, enhanced muscle strength and reaction times and all kins of sensory enhancements - and that's just a naked Space Marine.
    Then they put him into a tank like powered armor, equip him with what is essentially a rapid firing grenade launcher as his standard gun and give him 9 other friends to form a tactical squad and it's no question who would come out on top in this list.
    And that's just the standard Space Marine Grund with standard equipment - if not killed it's not exactly clear how long a Space Marine can live since none of them have died of natural causes, there's some who are over 1000 years old and still kicking ass.
    And to go that step further they are not even the best the Imperium of Man could bring - there's the Grey Knights ( Space Marines with even harsher training and they are all Psykers meaning on top of a superhuman physique and state of the art equipment each of them is also a psychic warrior) and then there's the Custodes, the Emperor's own bodyguard.
    If you can call the creation of a Space Marine some sort of mass production of superhuman soldiers a Custodes is a hand crafted masterpiece, each part of them perfect in every aspect, clad in the most rare and complex gear available to Mankind. They are to Space Marines what Space Marines would be to a normal human.
    Sorry, rant over :)

      @@douglaswetak9686 And that's still just the "tip of the ice-berg" when it comes to Astartes. Their third lung lets them breathe under water and in low oxygen and even highly toxic atmospheres. Their skin, which is thick and durable, can turn near pitch black in a matter of seconds if exposed to high levels of UV and other harmful radiations as a way to further increase their protection. They have a subconscious control over their own metabolism (often linked to their psycho-indoctrination) which further lets them adapt to different situations and conserve energy when needed - or to do the opposite and increase their body temperature if they are subjected to dangerously cold environments. They can eat almost anything biological or synthetic that has a nutritional/energy value, including many substances that are toxic, poisonous or otherwise harmful to normal humans. Which is good, since they burn through massive amounts of calories, they seldomly eat regular food for other reasons than cultural, because their main energy source is a special energy rich paste made especially for Astartes (which is deadly to normal humans). The only way for an astartes to get drunk is to drink what amounts to a incredibly deadly concoction of alcohol, toxins and poison - like the Fenrisian Ale or Mead which the Space Wolfs Chapter have created just for this purpose. Many humans have died through the years just by trying it.... This is just a tiny tiny fraction of the fun lore around the Astartes.

      @@keeganbruce19 chief at age 14 without mjolnir armour was at 20 milliseconds in armour with gen 1 it was 5 milliseconds. If you read latest end and death book it says custodies has 5 milliseconds. As Spartans age they get faster and stronger and with gen 3 it like a x25 boost. He much faster. Fall of Reach: According to Mendez, Spartans fresh out of augmentation at 14 with no armour could sprint in bursts up to 55kph. Kelly was said to be slightly faster. This not close to what gen 3 grown up spartan 2 do. Waypoint: Kelly’s profile says in GenII armour she can run at 65kph and maintain it. Glasslands: Makes mention of an unarmoured Spartan being able to comfortably maintain a pace of 40kph.
      gen 1 a injured master chief with a Achilles tendon tearing ran at 96.3 mph. Proof search this video Chiefs Fastest Ever Sprint Speed | Lore and Theory
      If fully healthy and in gen 3 it could be much higher. Shadow of reach book has Linda doing ridiculous speed to get inpostion by time Fred pick up and aims a rocket launcher Kelly has ran many meters in that time. Calculated at 90 kph in gen 3 compared to 65 in gen 2
      Kelly set off at a fast run, and by the time Fred had taken the rocket launcher off its magmount, she was fifty meters up the canal. John pulled his assault rifle off its magmount and knelt to wait.
      Shadows of Reach, Ch 5
      Banshees look to have a pretty acquisitive distribution of it's 2250KG frame by the nose/frontal region of the craft. Not only does this favour the Spartan's striking ability to be of a higher value, but it also narrows his margin of error in order to best lift the craft upwards through a displacement via brute force.
      In a strafing run, where the craft achieves loitering speeds of 108km/hr (or some 30 meters per second), John's margin of error likely needs to be aligned somewhere behind the bulbous nose, and facing the outer-wedge of the wing. Assuming this gap is less around one meter, the following time is required to calculate a punch:
      t = d/v
      t = 1/30 = .033•
      About 33 milliseconds. This is no button or ruler drop test, mind you - calculating, accelerating, then executing a strike within this window of time is quite impressive.
      Which leads to the force and energy. Assuming the vehicle, coupled with a 150 kilogram pilot, has a low-estimate weight distribution of 60 percent reversing it's direction from a depressing arc to a coiling topple, John would have exerted the following:
      F = ma
      = (.6*2400) * (30 / 0.06)
      F = 720,000N
      Or 72 tonnes of force. More than five times that which Atriox delivered to the solar plexus of Red Team. To absorb the energy of the craft in this manner, makes Master Chief capable or exerting 648 kilojoules, or more than half a megajoule of kinetic energy.
      the nanosecond is outlier when the end and death vol 3 say custodies has reaction 5 milliseconds
      In the latest siege of terra book, Valdors reaction time is Six milliseconds. Between teleporting into a pit of daemons, figuring out something was wrong and getting the first daemon kill.
      That Valedor the best custodies is 6 milliseconds. That makes all the nanosecond talk flowery language without authors understanding. Chief at age 14 in the most basic armour as well as other spartan 2 reaction time is 5 milliseconds. In gen 3 we see them running 50-90 kph all the time. They get faster and stronger as they age aswell. Chief most difently currently hitting into nanosecond territory himself. Also chief literally in shadow of reach generated a punch calculating it at 72 tons. He has built in camo/thrusters and grapple hook that can cause emp effect. We know farsight used emp effect to shut down marines. Gen 3 has computing power equal to smart ai that exceed tau computing power. All the feats you use are of gen 1 young chief. He also tanked a 400 ton explosion sending him 15 meters in the air and was fine. Tanks plasma bolt from banished seraph ship. Fire from forerunner beam that vaparioed a hunter. No astartes is generating that kind of firepower. His shields recharge in seconds and I gen 1 armour tanked 2 50mm turrent with only quarter his shields going down. Chief is upper cutting space marines heads of.
      Battle experience does nothing when a firewarrior who inferior to a guardmen one shot a marine with a pulse rifle or rail gun. Spartans don’t have standard gear anything in their hands is deadly we can give spartan dedicated weapons aswell. Or we can give Spartans there optional add on like teleportation/ over shields/ repulsor that can send back fire from even tanks. Gen 3 already has built in camo/shields/grapple hook with emp/drop shields and thruster pack.
      He nearly connected. I judged his weapon was within a few microseconds of an impact that would have cracked my auramite breastplate. That interval, however, was comfortably sufficient to spin my blade over in my grip, ram the spear tip into the Traitor's gorget and fire at point-blank range.
      -Watchers of the Throne: The Emperor's Legion,
      Here a traitor astartes is reacting in milliseconds isn’t that a contradiction
      Out of long habit, virtually unconsciously, I reached a judgement on the fastest method of killing him. I found the optimal results - less than a microsecond of effort required - slightly amusing.
      -Watchers of the Throne: The Emperor's Legion
      As for the bolder being warhog size
      Weight = Mass * Gravity = (Volume * Density) * Gravity
      Which should be common knowledge and is really all you use for this feat.
      From the text Chief lifts: 'a Granite boulder the size of a Warthog'
      The density of Granite is ~2691 kg/m3 which is a constant
      The gravity on the planet Reach is 1.08 Gs which is a constant
      Size is the same as volume, which is length * width * height
      The dimensions of a Warthog are 6m * 3m * 3.2m, though to lowball it and assume they are talking about the overall bulk of the vehicle and not include the windshield/turret area of the height you can drop the height to 2 meters. - This last statement is the only part that are my assumptions and it's to lowball the feat
      So the volume is 6m * 3m * 2m = 36m3
      Putting that together:
      Weight = Volume * Density * Gravity = 36m3 * 2691kg/m3 * 1.08 G = 104626.08kg = 104.6 tonnes Lowest it been cal at is 54 tons.

    Just my observation, not a criticism. Ghosts are certainly among the best in Starcraft, but not comparable to special forces like Spartans or Astartes. They are multiple agents, individual infiltrated soldiers, not designed for large-scale missions or holding the front or an objective. They are still a worthy opponent in 1v1. So I would focus on Spartans and Astartes. Both have many strength and speed values, as well as great reflexes, with Halo's super soldiers having lower feats on average, but with unique and anomalous values in a single case. like the example of the Chief running at 100km/h. More seen in no other case. Astartes have many more crazy feats. how to develop strategies in a few milliseconds, resist artillery barrages, tear off armored doors, stop an armored vehicle by hand etc... Both have various armaments, so a Spartan could with a particular weapon kill a Space Marine, but also the Astartes they have very powerful armaments and if we take out certain relics there is no comparison. So I would say that in a fight with one or two squads of Spartans, against 2/4 Space Marines, they could win, but already a company, it would be a big problem for the Halo super soldiers. On the other hand, a Space Marine, fights against aliens and creatures that are often OP.

Assuming this gap is less around one meter, the following time is required to calculate a punch:
      t = d/v
      t = 1/30 = .033•
      F = ma
      = (.6*2400) * (30 / 0.06)
      F = 720,000N
      Or 72 tonnes of force. More than five times that which Atriox delivered to the solar plexus of Red Team. To absorb the energy of the craft in this manner, makes Master Chief capable or exerting 648 kilojoules, or more than half a megajoule of kinetic energy.

      As for the bolder being warhog size
      Weight = Mass * Gravity = (Volume * Density) * Gravity

      @@BFG-Based wrong chief at age 14 without mjolnir armour was at 20 milliseconds in armour with gen 1 it was 5 milliseconds.
Assuming this gap is less around one meter, the following time is required to calculate a punch:
      t = d/v
      t = 1/30 = .033•
      F = ma
      = (.6*2400) * (30 / 0.06)
      F = 720,000N
      Weight = Mass * Gravity = (Volume * Density) * Gravity
      Weight = Volume * Density * Gravity = 36m3 * 2691kg/m3 * 1.08 G = 104626.08kg = 104.6 tonnes Lowest it been cal at is 54 tons.

    I'd like to talk to about a one versus one between a Ghost and an Astartes. The Ghost would win almost every time, but that's because we're comparing a scapel with a hammer.
    Let's say these two are in a ring together and waiting for the draw. The Astartes will do the usual 'aim bolter at thing and shoot' it's done hundreds of times throughout their life.
    The Ghost is a psykik, meaning he likely used his powers to read the mind of the opponent and determine a course of action. "He will shoot like this, so I will dodge like this and activate cloak." Ghosts are quite fast and have good reflexes.
    By that point the Astartes best option is to spray shots around in the hopes of hitting the foe. Meanwhile the Ghost is prepping a headshot for this foe.
    Now, normally, 8mm shot doesn't penetrate Astartes armor, but this is not a normal occasion. The Ghost is able to use it's psykik powers to augment it's shot and increase lethality and penetration.
    They're given 8mm sniper rifles for stealth purposes, not killing potential. Their targets are usually unarmored. The shot at the Astartes would penetrate the helmet, resulting in death in most cases.
    I know this is how it would play out because Ghosts are what SC2 terran commanders would sometimes deploy to deal with big, heavily armored targets like Ultralisks (imagine a Carnifex).
    So yeah, the Ghost would win almost every time, but that's because we're comparing a scapel with a hammer.
    Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

      The only weapon a Ghost has ever carried that would even have a chance of hurting an Astartes is his nuke calldown feature. Every other weapon Ghosts have ever been seen using wouldn't even make a dent in the Astartes; the Ghost could empty their entire ammo stockpile plus a reload from a supply crate and still would have barely scratched the Astartes. Once again, your Space Marine information is wrong. Also which Space Marines are you comparing them to? Firstborn in Mk 7 / Mk8 armour? Primaris in Mark X armour? Gravis armour? You are also aware of artificer and terminator armour?
      You are also forgetting one big thing. Experience. Space Marines have lifespans of several centuries with the oldest going over 1,000 years and a few even reaching over 2,000 years of age, and they spend their entire lives either in training or fighting in the most dangerous warzones for The Imperium.
      I see you said this: Spartans have gen 3 armour and get stronger as they age they atkest 25 time stronger than that as show in books. - Which book and which page? List your source for Spartans getting stronger as they age.
      We have feats of Spartans lifting 50 tons easy better h2h combat like misting brutes and destroying there skeleton structure. Shadow of reach show blue team tracking at 90+kms aswell. - Read that book and can't find any mention of your 90 km/h. - Which page? Master Chief's famous 500m dash in 17s where he tore his Achilles tendon and achieved 100 km/h is still the highest recorded speed for Spartans of any generation. Also worth noting that Blue Team are commanded by Spartan IIs and it is a well-known fact that Kelly is the fastest Spartan II with a stable sprint speed of 65 km/h. Spartan III Tom ran 15 km/h faster than Kelly's 65 Km/h which puts him at 80 Km/h and still short of the 90 that you pulled out of nowhere.
      Where was it specifically stated that Spartans are lifting 50 tons "easily"? - Once again, which page and book? Shadows of reach has Chief holding up a warthog sized boulder. A warthog weights 3 metric tons. That is far from your 50 tons. John has also flipped a warthog and Naomi has used a 400 kg weapon in a novel. But she did tear a few muscles using the weapon.
      If you are basing h2h on Spartans beating brutes, then you don't really have much to go on. There are far more dangerous melee enemies in the 40k universe. Once again your 40k knowledge is severely lacking here to make a real comparison. Space Marines regularly beat down Ogryns who are heavier and stronger than Brutes.
      Here are a few quotes of Space Marines in action from novels.
      Reaction time, enemy IFF, combat analysis and action
      Stated across multiple novels that Space Marines can move too quickly for standard. un-augmented humans to process.
      "The Word Bearer is almost unrecognisable. For a nanosecond, the figure registers to Luciel as an unknown, a threat. Transhuman responses are already there, unbidden. Adrenaline spikes to heighten an already formidable reaction time. Muscle remembers. Luciel wears his boltgun, an oiled black pit bull of a weapon, in his thigh holster. He can draw, aim and fire in less than a second. - Know No Fear (Novel)
      "Gabriel squeezed a couple of shells out of his bolter and watched the little contrails that poured out behind them, as though in slow motion. They spun through the thick, gaseous air and then slipped through a gap in the lava flow, punching into the kaleidoscope of reflections beyond." - Daemon World (Novel)
      The sorcerer stood at the edge of the marble disc, aiming a bolt pistol. He fired from almost point-blank range. Sabtah had no choice. He slapped the round away. His left hand exploded in a concentric swirl of blood and armour fragments - Dawn of War (Novel)
      Plague Marines shot at him. Those shots that Gammadin did not slap out of the air, he took against his shoulder plates. Shrapnel puffed against him. - Brothers of the Snake (novel)
      Commissar Falkov's dark stormcoat swished as he reached for his sidearm. He never got the chance to execute the lieutenant for his cowardice. A snarling, immense blur of blackness sliced across the room. With a crash, the lieutenant was slammed against the wall, held a metre off the ground, short legs kicking, as the Reclusiarch gripped his throat in one hand. - Helsreach (Novel)
      Space Marine sprint speed
      "Talos vaulted a pile of rocks, his boots crashing down on the other side and never missing a stride. His eye lenses flickered runic sigils between eighty-four and eighty-seven kilometres per hour." - Night Lords omnibus.
      Space Marine Strength
      "Angron had no time to lift his mutilated brother, sprawled at his feet. The sun went dark, as dark as night falling in an instant. He turned, raising his arms, and took a god-machine’s weight on his shoulders. Every muscle in his body locked tighter than the iron trying to crush him." Note that a Warhound titan weights 410 tonnes - Betrayer (Novel)
      Tanks did not slow the Space Marines down. They clambered up on to them, ripped off durasteel hatches as if they were made of paper and dropped grenades into the interior. - Angel of Fire
      One of the Isstvanian soldiers ran at him, shrieking and aflame, and pulled Temeter into an embrace. The captain let the flamer drop from his grip and ripped the man in two, tearing him apart effortlessly. He beat out the flames and grimaced as the rest of his troop waded in and finished the task. - Flight of the Eisentein

      Strength is a toss up as the reality is that in their armor both of them very consistently fall in the "we don't quite want them to be acutal superheroes" tier of strength so neither of them is going to be able to swing a bus like a bat or hold up and entire building on their shoulders or something, but they can do stuff like bench or throw a small vehicle with effort, lift a larger one somewhat with leverage, toss around large foes that must weigh hundreds of kilos, etc. Generally both of them display pretty similiar strength feats, but the marines probably are a bit higher due to sheer bulk.
      That said Speed is another matter, Spartans are flat out faster generally in terms of reaction times. It's often pointedly ignored by 40k fans, but no implant given to a spacemarine is stated to in anyway enhances his cognitive functions in terms of information processing or reaction times. Literally, just go read the list, not a single one is stated to significantly effect brain function beside a modification to reduce the need for sleep. Spacemarines are pretty fast, but how fast is very much "varies by the author", but generally speaking they do not tend to demonstrate the same consistent 'bullet timing' of Spartans whose entire brains are massively augmented to the point of becoming almost digital to a degree.
      Spartans also CONSTANTLY demonstrate much greater degrees of agility in terms of acrobatics then marines, even if a straight line sprint between the two might be a toss up that varies by individuals in terms of agility Spartans are clearly greatly superior to marines in their standard armor. I would like for instance for you find any instances of a Spacemarine executing a standing back flip several meters into the air over an enemy. The mobility question also becomes complicated by later marks of Mjolnir which as standard have built in thruster systems can propel a Spartan in leaps and jumps in a way that Standard marine armor can't match in the slightest.
      I've often considered that a fair comparison would be Aspect warriors for a Spartan, they might not be quite as strong as a marine but they're generally faster and more agile and would be EXTREMELY dangerous and completely capable of killing a marine in close combat provide a decent weapon.

    I know everyone's gonna say wh40k's space marines, but honestly, pound for pound, I'd take a Spartan over a SM. Spartan armor is incredibly durable, capable of protecting it's occupant literally falling from orbit. Their armor is also more functional that SM armor, which is realistically very restricting and cumbersome. SM armor also lacks energy shielding, so any direct damage taken, is just that, while Spartan armor has very quickly regenerating energy shields which in the lore is actually stronger than Covenant Elite's own energy shields. Also, speaking of the Covenant forces, guess what kinda weaponry they use? That's right, plasma, the same type of weaponry that can instantly vaporize a Space Marine, and is typically only used by Necrons, the by far, most technologically advanced Xenos race, yet Spartans can take several shots from said plasma weaponry and keep right on trucking. I'd also argue that Spartans are simply better tactically.

      Master Chief didn't actually fall from orbit, he jumped at about 2 kilometers up, and his fall was cushioned by a large peice of metal and landing in soft, boggy terrain. Much less impressive. Another example is when a bunch of Spartans had to jump from a pelican 1 kilometer up and even with their fall softened by trees, 6 of them died and many more injured.
      40k plasma is much hotter then what the Covenant uses, and even then it doesn't "vaporize" them. Necrons would never use something as primitive as plasma. They use Guass weapons which would make the Forerunners jealous. Not to mention that Spartan weapons are barely any better then our current day weapons.

      Plasma guns are described as being as hot as a star. Melta guns, which operate on the same principle, melt a giant hole in basically anything instantly. And plasma guns are most commonly used as anti tank weapons. Though 40k really hates giving any hard numbers, so there are none for the plasma weapons.
      The bombs of a Covenant Seraph, on the other hand, are stated to be 3000 degrees C, and the melting point of titanium is 1700 degrees. Titanium-A is probably much stronger, so probably about 2000 to 2500 degrees.
      Ceramite on the other hand, is a metel-ceramic combination that's designed to be especially heat resistant.
      Necrons can tap into the universe for power too, as well as other timelines, and they use the shards of their own enslaved gods as power.

They are without armor not 25 stronger maybe in gen 3 armor they are.

    Space Marines can never win because they are not from science fiction, but from fantasy. Talking about W40k characters is like arguing whether Emperor of Mankind or Goku is stronger. Pointless.
    My favourite are Nanosuits from Crysis. Because they look like men without skin and black muscles. And besides, I enjoyed the game much more than, for example, Halo.

      How is something with Aliens, Genetically Enhanced Super Soldiers, energy weapons, Space ships and honest to god Aliens, NOT Sci-Fi? It simply Sci Fi that has Fantasy elements in it too.

      Age of Sigmar is the fantasy side, Warhammer 40K is science fiction. I wouldn´t call robots, space flying ships, metallic robot aliens, rocket propelled greande launching rifles and so on fantasy. 🤔

      That's quite a disingenuous argument. By your logic star wars isn't Sci-fi either.

      @@VaftrudnerKGA actualy, WH40k is Science Fantasy... yes most of technology or other principes in univers was explained in lore, but lot of them has nothing to do with our current understanding of the "universe" principle (astronomy, chemistry, etc.) and is based on imaginary basis or on outdated informations...
