      I guess you will surely do Wings and 10.000 Days. I would say you could do Vicarious or Jambi after that. :)

    Perhaps a better approach is to just listen to the music and allow Rene to formulate her own ideas, then debate. Always the best method to promote critical thinking and analysis.

      Well my sister is really shy and she is very new at this. The reason I told so much is to help her forget she is being recorded and encourage her to give more input

      @@CampSiteVlogs Please, don't misunderstand. That wasn't meant as an insult, veiled or otherwise. Your sister is obviously very intelligent, as are you. Shy or not, I think Rene could offer a lot of insight in her own unique way. It's usually fascinating when someone offers an intelligent and well thought out perspective that perhaps hasn't yet occured to you.

    Hey Wallace and Rene,
    Another big Tool and APC fan here.
    I'm really enjoying the simplicity and format of your content.
    Also, it's refreshing to see such a sweet brother/sister duo.
    I started listening to both bands when I was 15 (2005), and to this day I still discover things within their music that continues to blow my mind and make me question why I'd never picked up on that particular sound before.
    Coming from someone who's had their music on repeat (in the car, and everywhere else) for well over a decade now, I find that pretty awesome (I'm sure you're the same Wallace).
    With Tool, I was an instant fan from the first time I'd heard them. Every song was my favourite song, though I could never pick "a favourite", and when it came to recommending tracks to others, I'd end up sending them entire album track-lists instead.
    APC on the other hand, were like a sweet pair of kicks that were slightly too big for me in the beginning. I knew I liked them, however I couldn't wear them until I grew into them.
    There were tracks I loved from the get go, and then there were tracks I wasn't so sure about. These slowly became my favourites as time passed. Suddenly they meant a lot more to me, because I grew with them. They took me on a ride through different perspectives, feelings, emotions, good times and the bad. I felt like I'd truly earned each song (almost like gaining a badge for every one I'd adjusted to)
    Seeing Rene listen (and react) to this music for the first time is so cool. I respect you for introducing her to it, and truly hope she'll continue to dabble in these bands as she grows because they'll only get better with age.
    I'd love to suggest a few songs for a reaction:
    1. A Stranger
    2. Vanishing
    3. Passive
    These songs helped me through an extremely rough patch in my early 20's after losing a friend to suicide and also battling with my own personal demons.
    Anyway, I hope you don't mind the long message.
    Keep up the great work!
    Much love from New Zealand

      Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Im very glad you are enjoying these videos and as a fan of both bands I can relate to a lot of what you said. Eventually we will get around to most APC songs. So stay tuned. :)

    With Tool, the band makes the music. Once all their parts are done, then Maynerd listens and adds vocals

    First I’m going to qualify, I really like you guys, love Tool, Love APC, but again you’re giving her false information. His mom died three years after the release of this album. And that’s not what this song is about. But whatever, I still like watching you guys.

    • @CampSiteVlogs
      @CampSiteVlogs  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im sorry, I always thought this song to be about having to pull plug. Could this song then be about the fear of having to eventually do that to his mother?

    • @ianscottt3642
      @ianscottt3642 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Camp Site The name of the album is sea of names, Orestes means he who can conquer the mountain. If you wanna understand this song you need to listen to the songs that come before it. APC is a lot like tool, except instead of him approaching it from a analytical perspective (male), The approach is more emotional(female). Emotional growth.

    • @CampSiteVlogs
      @CampSiteVlogs  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I already knew those things. I guess I've just been set in way as far of my view on this particular song. I never thought to look into a separate meaning since Orestes had to kill his mother. Is there more info you could give me?@@ianscottt3642

    • @ianscottt3642
      @ianscottt3642 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Camp Site yeah but most of the fun is figuring it out. That’s why am being vague. Listen to the rose. He makes a decision not to be the deer in the headlights. He’s going to force his will, and deal with it head on. In this song in order to accomplish this he must cut away the umbilical residue, meaning letting go of his childish stance,if you will?

      I also see this this song as his struggle with his mom suffering but he can't get himself to pull the plug. The reference to Orestes could be that he feels betrayed by god and his mother not giving up her beliefs. That's what i get out of it. 😊

    This is the first time I've ever heard this song. This is the third A Perfect Circle song I've heard.
    The only other songs I have heard of theirs are Judith and 3 Libras.
    I'm just curious, have you done a reaction video to the Perfect Circle song, Three Libras ?? If not, that would be the song that I would suggest so that way when I hear you explain it maybe I can get a better understanding of it
