2019 Chevy Colorado WT....I had the "Shutter" issue from the tranny (brand new, put in by a dealer). I asked what fluid they used and was told, Dex. Chevy has a bulletin from 2019 to use Mobil full synthetic. I had it flushed and filled with the Mobil. Fixed the shutter issue immediately. I still get some jerkiness with the POS 8 speed and intermittent stereo issues, but I do love this truck.
@@acheronlv-4268 I should clarify the jerkiness. For example, when I come to almost a complete stop, then go the tranny feels like it needs to "Catch Up" with the rotation of the rest of the driveline. Another example is if I'm driving along and have to slow down some, behind that slow driver, then give it some gas, it jerks a little like it doesn't quite know what gear to be in. Neither of these examples are very hard jerks, just noticeable.
I've had the same problem from last year... but 2 months back I had it transmission fluid drained flashed and replace... it works well after the change of fluid... till now it works ok
Bought a 2016 z71 brand new in 2016. Hitting 100k and have not had a single problem. Change oil on time and any fluids they recommend. From tans, diff, brake and coolant. Still on same breaks pads as well with plenty of life left. I’ve been happy.
I have 50k flat on it as of yesterday i like it butttt.... any acceleration from 15-25 miles the whole frame vibrates like crazy i have had to replace every single light on it to dash and all have gone out in 5 years ive driven it from east cost to west 3 times now and no issues phone refuses to connect sometimes, but besides that it does alright for what i use it for am wanting something biger 2018 v8 but am at a wall thi because any truck i think about getting ill find a million things wrong with it and they are so expensive for the same miles used or more than what my perfectly maintained 19 colorado is
i have a bison and not many complains at all, lastly i have an issue with the thermostat keeping open, but i fix it opening and closing the reservoir tank, disconnecting the battery, connecting it back and ready, i can change the thermostat but is a pita. easier my approach. lol
I have a 2019 Colorado that had the same issue. I started out doing what you do but found that to be a bigger PITA. I brought it to my mechanic, not Chevy, and he replaced it without pulling the intake manifold. I've had no issues since.
i just did my thermostat my self. it's a 3hours job working slow like I'm. i did bought all the 1/4 Inch Drive sockets that i needed to reach the bolts, picked a cool and nice day to work and it's done! @@raywing1240
Anyone have excessive Oil burning in their 2019 Colorado? Have had mine for 3yrs and seems to be getting worse, 74k miles, always maintained, dealship is saying im excessively idling do to my engine hours yet I don’t idle when I don’t need to (in traffic , waiting to pick someone up etc) at a real loss for ideas as to what’s going on?
Mine vibrates violently only when accelerating. It stops as soon as I take my foot off the gas. No idea what's wrong with it. Really don't want to take it to the dealer
Please report any safety issues with a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado, because I have one & Portfolio or GMC ,they aren't not answering to repair my rear differential under insurance or any term,I paid the Truck for few years 35,000 and I still own,25,000,and it's my only transportation and they don't care about me,walking to work for 30 minutes to 1 hour under the heat of Arizona, they can't loan me a car,to go to work to continue paying my Auto loan !!! having Portofolio extended Guarantee...i never will recommend to get Portofolio, they're so careless customer service!!!

my jerkiness is when it hits 40 m/h. entering an expressway, not always happens but i know it will become a problem 50k miles from now. lol
