Ppf is going to lookGood but once you drive it and your front gets hit by rock chips it will Leave a mark on the ppf especially white cars you’ll see it. Good thing protects your paint which tesla paint is soft and flakes whenever gets a rock chip
The PPF will change over time and make the area treated noticeably different. Also, if you go with matte or satin PPF it will be drastically different. Most people with common sense can install the PPF on their own car for 1/5 the price. It takes patience and about a day or two. It is a worthwhile skill to learn which can make you money on the side as well.
This will happen when you get a shop to do the work that will print aka use a plotter printer to cut out a kit to install in your vehicle. A real pro will install the PPF and you won’t even notice is there. Facts!
@@ccjh0806 OK, I did from whole roll, but there are some really stupid people out there, so perhaps I was overly optimistic. Know what you are getting into. What is the worst that can happen? it's not as easy to self-install as you think. I know cuz i am going through the process...1st off, the really good ppf don't come in precut kits, so you have to go w/ the lesser-known ones which all don't offer the same protection. to me, if you are spending > $40k on a car, getting just part of the car w/ high impact areas ppf'ed by a professional is worth the ~$2k price.
everyone can for sure is just the location where you install is the key. Some shops have dedicate detailing area to eliminate dust and other contaminants prior to install. Even with a garage you still have to check through and through how clean and dust free the area is. Not everyone have empty garage at HOME for dedicate detailing purposes 😂
Clearly you never had a car painted by a professional. A good paint job on a four-door car cost more than $10,000 and it affects the resale value of the vehicle. It’s a no brainer to save for PPF for when you are ready to buy a car that is worth over $40k.
A new bumper cover and paint is cheaper. I also found out if there needs to be body work done the ppf makes it far more expensive. I’m skipping it on my model 3
Stop following too close to the car in front of you, especially if they don’t have that mudguard/splash guard on the rear. Worst following them too close on rainy days or snow covered road with salt.
