It seems some people are missing the point of a Turture test. Joe is on a quest to find the most durable pistol red dot. We will have a lot of other optics tortured in the near future so stay tuned. We will have the same test for each optic. We will also do a wrap up video and dicuss the results of all of the tests, pros and cons of certain optics, etc.
I'm an M&P 2.0 10 mm owner. I'm looking for that doomsday optic and will be watching your tests closely. New subscriber and looking forward to watching your videos.
A decent test for an optic that aimpoint probably markets as "bomb-proof". I do like my S&W compact, I should get out and shoot more often. Good work! :)
It's funny, after doing the test I checked Aimpoints website and they don't say anywhere anything about drop height or anything. They just say it survived 40,000 rounds of 40 S&W. I'm genuinely excited to test the RMR and see how it does.
Hell yeah, same. Absolutely love my m&p2.0 compact 4". Perfect all-rounder imo. But I badly want the updated version now for the optics cut, trigger & serrations.😅👍
I am not a red dot tv screen gun sight kind of guy but thought that sight would hold up better than that. My son has those on a few of his guns and uses them a lot.
Nice video! It's nice seeing some people actually test their stuff so the rest of us don't have too. Interesting it failed so fast. Working on a ranch their is always the possibility of my handgun getting hit on a piece of steel farm equipment. That's one reason I like having iron sights as a backup.
It hurts my heart to see that lovely m&p2.0 spec series getting tortured along with the optic. Shoulda got a cheap gen1 m&p2.0 or PSA dagger to beat up instead😢😅
Haha ya but I also wanted to see how the M&P Spec Series would hold up as it's my SHTF gun. It also performed the Trijicon RMR torture that drops next Friday
@PearceBrothersGearGuide Fair point. Im going to guess it'll be (un)surprisingly solid & reliable.😅 But it'll be good to know how much abuse it can take👍
And that’s why I still prefer iron sights on a handgun (wether or not it’s a pistol or revolver) I understand if your eyes are failing or you’re handgun hunting then having an optic would be understandable however if you’re reasoning to have a red dot doesn’t fall in those two categories then there’s no reason to have them I only have a red dot on my AR and if anything happens to it I simplify take it off and flip up my iron sights
Do you not understand the purpose of a torture test? I am on the search for the most durable pistol red dot. This failed so I'll continue the search. Trijicon RMR Test will be coming soon.

Thank you Joe.😊
Thank you for watching!
That's a brutal test for any optic it will be interesting to see what comes out on top.
Agreed. Goal is to find the most durable red dot on the market. RMR and Vortex Defender will be coming soon.

@@flexinclouds I'm not an optics guy, but I do want the trigger and slide serrations. :)
Honesty is always appreciated.
What's really funny. The opening song. It sounds like Hogan's Heroes. LOL 😀
It is Hogans Heroes! One of our favorite shows as kids
This will be interesting on how n what they do.
Well done n ya more ....well guts than I do.
Aimpoint did replace the optic so kudos to them for great customer service.

We were a little shocked as well. One downside of an enclosed optic is if it does get compromised you can't get the water out from inside.

Irons are the ol reliable. I'll have more torture tests out on other optics so I can find the most durable handgun optic.
Trash video. Click bait.
EVERYTHING will fail if you abuse in ways it's not meant to be used.

@@PearceBrothersGearGuide Don't listen to that clown lol
You bought it. Your money. Then treat it and the pistol like that. Fail. I think the only thing that failed was it's owner.

Maybe you should’ve read the title of the video.
Its called a torture test for a reason.
