One of the most eye opening things about carrying a gun I had to learn was that 99% of people aren’t aware of what is going on around them. I remember being so worried my shirt was riding up and that the gun I was carrying (HK USP in .45) was too big. No one ever noticed.
Concealed carrying for me really opened my eyes to just how little people actually pay attention to. Situational awareness is basically non existent for the general population.
Yep, once I figured out no one cares( insert Nedry meme), G17 under a t-shirt became my standard. Smaller guns like my j-frame became the "fuck it I dont wanna put on pants" around the house guns, or going to the gym guns.
First week carrying I picked out two guys printing at random places and realized…. Ain’t no one looking.
I have a fullsize Walther PPQ M2. I love it because the grip is not big and the standard barrel length is ~4'' and yes most peopled are painfully unaware of their surroundings, because when I where shorts on non-belted pants I always have a bit of a print and it's noticeable and only people who have a knowledge of firearms and carry do notice.
@@MandoWookie yes, it's why I want the new gen P365, similar to what my Dad has. I have a P320 with and rmr, however it is the compact version, but I just need a "fuggit, I hate pants today" gun.
Prior to the ammo shortage, I always thought "common ammo" would always be available at the range so I never stockpiled any of them (learned my lesson now obviously). However, the one round that was never available at the range was .50AE, so I ended up buying a ton of .50AE ammo, especially back when the Freedom Munitions Big Grains stuff was 95 cents a round. That meant once the ammo shortage hit and everything became hard to find, I had a stockpile of .50AE and basically nothing else so once I finally was able to get my concealed carry license, I carried both my Gold Titanium Desert Eagle and AMT Automag V on occasion. Automag V is actually quite lightweight and compact for a .50AE, weighing on 46 oz rather than the Deagle's 72 oz.
Still, even when I did that, I had a robust enough gun belt that even carrying the Deagle wasn't that uncomfortable, and despite thinking it'd print like a motherfucker, nobody around me ever noticed, even when I sat down at a pharmacy to get a flu vaccine. So after that, once I sourced some proper defensive loads, I now carry a full sized 1911 with an extended 10 round magazine and a full sized FN Five seveN as a backup, and that's not a problem at all. I'm used to carry a shitton of stuff now. lol

I keep what I carry simpleish. Gen 5 G19 (with a reload), Surefire Tactican, Microtech UTX-85, and a CAT TQ. The only upgrades on my Glock are XS Minimalist sights and a Ghost edge connector with a polish job. Also 124 gr HSTs or bust

I actually have a clone of my Dad's knife. I carried it forever and eventually retired it. Dad introduced me to firearms when I was a kid. First gun was a 22 marlin lever action. Dad passed away not too long ago as well. He was awesome. I carry a G17+X300U+Trex SC 2.0. With a round in the chamber obviously. Stellar video brother.

Just a note: Most of us have a huge box of holsters and belts. Make note of pros and cons of each as you cycle them off of your primary kit list. We rarely talk about changes to our bodies; not necessarily because you you like to lay naked and watch Admin and Garand while eating flaming hot cheetoh sammiches, but because of a flare up from the gym, or a work related injury. Buy good gear, train with it, but stay fluid (it's 2021). Do what works best for you until it doesn't.

My g48 with the shield mags have turned into my primary edc I truly think it’s gonna be the successor to the 19 for most peoples
I’m using a 43x MOS with the Shield Gen 2 mags; very happy. Same round count as my 19’s but much lighter & thinner.
Nice, but the price point of needing specialty mags...love it, but hate to spend that money.

Any issues with the shield arms mags ? My friend got some gen1 mags and they won't engage the mag catch, he even bought the shield arms mag catch/ release button & they still just fall out if the gun
@@Ironsight_Army not had an issue with them so far the mag catch was an after thought following the mag so if i were him I’d get in contact with shield and see if they will replace them

Honestly this video is weirdly comforting to someone who’s considering starting carrying. Every thing he said about being worried about things was accurate
I decided to switch things up this year; I’ve been carrying smaller pocket knives for utility tasks (the most common use for my knives) and broke into a new carry setup. I’m playing around with the PHLster Enigma holding a Roland Special inspired Sig p365xl.
Medical is my biggest weak link: I hardly ever carry any on me and I know that I should change that.
when i first started carrying concealed, I was pretty worried about printing and someone calling me out (I've always carried chambered btw.) I notice when people conceal carry but I'd never bring it up to someone haha most people don't notice, and the ones that do notice, don't care.
The 26 I'd say is only a compromise if using the 10 round mag with no pinky extension. With a full grip that little gun shoots as good as a 19 imo.

I'm in AZ and I carry a sp-01 tactical all day, every day, year-round. It just works for me.
Nice I love my sp-01 tactical suppressor ready. It was my first and it’s always been my favorite.
I went with a Glock 19 for CCW and as a viable range toy that will have better accuracy than a 43x or 48. Kind of doubles as a concealed EDC and range/duty gun. There’s a reason it’s so popular, hah.

If I remember correctly, the Sig Romeos are made in the same factory as Holosun. On a side note, I've had my Romeo 5 for almost 2 years and the only thing I don't like about it is the mount.
I've learned there truly is not many factories in China, they are just large and make items to spec and label. Screwdrivers, ceiling fans only two factories. Looking at some stuff, seems it's not different with scopes and dots.

Been carrying for 2 years now and it took me about a year to move from 50% of the time actually carrying, with a subcompact cz p10s (not chambered) to 100% of the time, all the time carrying with a glock 45 always chambered not worried about printing that much, totally comfortable and ready.

I don’t care who posts the video, I’m clicking on an EDC video. I keep it minimalistic. G19 Gen 5 Jagerwerks slide milled for the RMR type 2 & Surefire X300U-A so I can take it off & use in a pinch as a flashlight. My primary flashlight is the Apple Watch series 7 & it’s good for most things, but if I need more light, Phone 13 Pro. T1C Axis Elite holster. Ridge wallets are great & can be used as a weapon. Pro-Tech TR5 is my go to carry knife. That’s it, but I do keep Pom Pepper Spray in my car.

I don't carry any 9mm with less than a 4" barrel. I prefer larger barrels, 4.5 to 5", for added velocity, which positively influences bullet expansion reliability on hollowpoints. Furthermore, the longer gun barrel improves precision shooting, which usually has a larger handle grip. Also, bear in mind that large frame handguns usually have less recoil than the subcompact kind.
I cannot understand men who carry "micro / baby" subcompact handguns. I can easily conceal a large frame handgun. I come from the times of carrying concealed a Colt 1911, a Browning Hi-power, a Glock 17, a Beretta 92... Nowadays, many men are into "my gun is smaller than yours" for comfort. Not me 😎

Man I would love to have a long conversation with you guys. When you talk about concealed carry to duty carry, its a real jump when you get to weather or the event, exc. These are the little things that keep me up at night.
I love my MR920 Elite carried appendix in a tier 1 holster. Best pistol I’ve owned
When i first started carrying i carried a p365 appendix in a leather holster one in the chamber of course. Probably not the best setup to carry a pistol that has no external safeties in a leather holster but hey I didn't carry it for long (bout a month or 2) in that holster before I got a kydex holster, so I never had any problems. I get the whole thing of not wanting to carry with one in the chamber to a degree but it never bothered me. I have never once carried without one in the chamber.

For the new gun guys, I typically like to run the gooch carry technique. Very concealed, little to no printing.

It was to train troops on everything from Helwans/Beretta 1951s to CZs to P-38s to GLOCKs. Every pistol can go from safe to ready to fight with a rack of the slide.
They were using handguns (and trucks, tanks, aircraft, submachine guns and rifles) from ANYWHERE they could get them.

My EDC has changed over the years. Started out pocket and IWB S&W 642. Then added a couple speed strips for extra rounds. Then switched it Glock 30s and a spare mag but still IWB 9 o clock carry. Then I finally switched to the Glock 19 Appendix IWB with a spare Mag in a T1C holster and it’s amazing. I still carry the 642 from time to time when I have to wear an ankle holster or want something super small and light when wearing board shorts and flip flops on the summer.

My EDC bounces between a Glock 45 MOS (with red dot and light) and 19X (with light.) If I’m going really slick (at church or the beach) I’ll run a slick Shadow Systems MR920 Elite. Beretta BU9 Nano is always my backup gun.
