Not only are your videos a seemingly endless repository of ASMR but the language you use in them is also absolutely delightful. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed that simple little "Dr. Surname" Brilliant. Thank you for the creativity, dedication, and intellectually stimulating writing you put into these.
I'm quite sure that there's not much writing when it comes to the script. As far as I've noticed, he usually thinks of a character and a couple of traits when it comes to their speaking etc, but he's said that most of the script is improv. Just makes it even better.
You all prolly dont care at all but does any of you know a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me.
Man, this is real neato! I live right down the road from TMI! Good thing the situation didn't escalate, otherwise I wouldn't have the privilege of getting unnecessarily excited in the comment section
Rift is a metalhead and also does The Three Mile Island accident medical exam. He is now my favorite ASMR-tist. I wouldn't mind a medical exam of Chernobyl. :)
It's funny. My dad was a machinist that did his part to manufacture the parts for that nuclear reactor. While yes, he always had a low opinion of engineers involved of the design of that reactor, he had this understanding of the components involved. Oh, he could go on for days with his rants.
That's awesome. I would love to hear recordings of someone passionate about something like that talking about it. Like when grandparents talk about their history and childhoods. :)
If you’re reading this, please reply with, yes or no. Do you think Uncle. E should have a non Asmr possibly gaming channel? If you agree post a comment GET HIS ATTENTION!
NO WAY. My dad was part of the clean up crew for this incident, when I saw this I freaked out! Great job, I'm gonna show this to him, he'll love it! :D I think I finally found a way to get him interested in ASMR too, LOL!
honestly I kinda want to see Paul go into comedy at some stage doing some kind of sketch show, the questionnaire part is like something you would see from monty python
You can literally see my house in that first picture haha. Hey, I mean, if you need a place to film that video, my backyard is available! They also do a bus tour for the community that goes on to the island every year but you can't film on the active side. And you can't get off the bus sadly. Plus, I don't know if they're even going to do one this year because of it closing. I'm lucky we went last year.
Hey uncle E, I’ve noticed you’ve been growing out the beared recently and that gave me an idea. What if you did an Abraham Lincoln rp. I feel like you could really rock that roll and maybe do some presidential tingles.
How about the signing of the Declaration of Independence and ratification of the US Constitution? Only the two most significant events in American history...
This is by far my favorite channel for ASMR. I greatly enjoy the storytelling and the humor, slipped in so subtly and completely deadpan, like “Dr. Surname” is quite funny imho.
I live about 30 min or so from there. I never stopped by the memorials and such but I definitely need too! Love your asmr channel by the way, you're one of my favorite asmrtists
When you said it was clear the questionaire wasnt helpfull at all and threw the clipboard, it made me laugh so much. Your great sense of humor adds so much tk these videos
Thumbs up just for the description alone ! I got massive respect for the time and effort you put in your descriptions let alone your videos ! Keep it up
Hey ER, if you're interested in Nuclear disasters I recommend this book: Brown, Kate. Plutopia: Nuclear Familes, Atomic Cities, and the Great Soviet and American Plutonium Disasters. Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2013. Talks about the ignorance, deceit, and the overall corruption of US and Soviet Plutonium production, along with a variety of other fun-facts and interesting personal narratives. Instead of flying out to Pripyat or Fukushima, you can simply visit Richland, Washington ;)
MSlick100 I hope you do understand that the three mile high incident was an absolute fallacy. The population that lived in three mile high facility had lower radiation level exposures than those living in Denver Colorado. Nuclear facilities are the safest places in the world in terms of protection from the outside world
"Fallacy" is the wrong term to describe a nuclear accident, second, regardless of the seriousness of the incident, I'm simply recommending a book on a topic that he may find interesting.
The author writes a comparative history of two areas, built for the purpose of Plutonium production, and from two competing societies during the Cold War. However, she provides with a plethora of evidence ranging from personal narrative to extensive archival documents/materials how similar and disastrous these areas were. Not only that, these areas are still currently highly radioactive.
I grew up near TMI, and I have an uncle who currently works there, and has for years. It’s an interesting area to live in, although it’s mostly farms in PA.
The sound of writing is what's always been missing from similar exam roleplays which I always found odd considering it's triggering power. Thank you for capturing it right!
Is it bad that after he said “is there anything you want to add, subtract, multiply..divide?” My first thought was 2+2 is 4 minus 1 that’s 3 quick maths
My ex-girlfriend lived very near Three Mile Island at the time of the incident. She claimed it didn't worry her. Given that she was about 12 at the time, I cannot blame her
I finally got the strength to leave my emotionally abusive ex. So just being able to hear a mans gentle voice, instead of constant insults and literal screaming into my ears, is so soothing and comforting thank you. 🥺😔😊
This video is so good. I've watched it about ten times now. Definitely think you should do a second one, but it's with the comrade and hes trying to say Chernobyl didnt happen.
This may be an old video to comment on or suggest an idea, but listening to this made me think of a Fallout Checkup. There are plenty of interesting diseases, radiation poisonings, and medical instruments and chems that could make it varied and entertaining. Especially if it was focused on certain aspects of Nuka Cola Quantum. Just radioactive food for thought.
E: I would like to preform a little hypnosis. *pulls out a grenade with the pin tied to a string* E: I would like for you to stare at the pendulum. Me: *staring at the pin" Got it Doc... (Yes I know the pin won't come out unless you squeeze the handle on the side of the grenade.)
Oh my god! I routinely read about radiation, nuclear accidents, radiation poisoning etc to relax (because I'm fucked in the head) and this is not a topic I ever thought could be ASMR'd but this makes me so happy. Thank you so much for this, Uncle E!
Also I suddenly feel like I may have commented on this already but I have no recollection of such. Too many blows to the head I guess. And I hope it's not too creepy to say but your smirk at the beginning when introducing yourself is ridiculously adorable.
My grandpa was one of the few people who went into the facility to keep it from becoming a total meltdown like Chernobyl.
Three Rivers Railfan wow that's so cool!

Tijs Razoux Schultz Dr. Surname is definitely a joke he's been saving though. That's way too good to be off the cuff
Just as a small example in the first minute he say "It is a pleasure to meet your acuantness" its just amazing
You all prolly dont care at all but does any of you know a trick to log back into an Instagram account..?

@Isaiah Aydin instablaster :)
No one has ever seen E.R. and Jesus in the same room.... Just something to think about.
dawson Brown Was initially confused and wanted to go ham, but then I got what you meant. Why must you do this, Dawson Brown?
LunarSkyWolf7 lol why are you upset ?
dawson Brown lol
Oh my god...
TheCloudMiner thx for stating your opinion as a fact. Everyone here appreciates it (P.S. not a Christian)
Nothing beats the feeling of seeing an Ephemeral Rift notification.
I can think of 1 better feeling than seeing the notification... watching the actual video.
If not watching the video itself counts
I bet you were the *1st* to watch it 😉

I like how instead of doing just a random medical examination he ties it backs to a nuclear accident. 👍👍👍

I live a few miles away from the energy northwest nuclear power plant.
I live in uptown Harrisburg. I wish I could find a clinic with a doctor like E.R....none like E.R. at Hershey Med or Polyclinic....
Rift is a metalhead and also does The Three Mile Island accident medical exam. He is now my favorite ASMR-tist. I wouldn't mind a medical exam of Chernobyl. :)
