  • In this video we talk about the Gordon Murray T.50S Niki Lauda edition. The T.50 makes 725 HP from a V-12 that revs to 12,100 RPM! The whole car weighs under 2,000 pounds and makes over 3,000 pounds of downforce. First, we go through specs of the Gordon Murray T.50 and then we head over to the drag race simulator to test the 0-60, 1/4 mile and 60-130 times.

If the ISG added another 30 HP, then that would give it around 750 Bhp for maybe a couple of laps. Apparently Gordon's team is confident they can get it down to maybe 840 kilos. Also there is a set of super short gear ratios that maxes out at 170+ mph for max acceleration. 210 mph is the long geared version.

It has the same power to weight as a Koenigsegg One:1 on regular gas, maybe a bit more in final spec with ISG and ram air induction and if they can get the weight down a bit more. It's a tiny car, little drag. 8 sec is possible on a drag strip on slick tires because launch decides the time. Power and Weight determine the trap speed.

Thanks for adding this car to your site. I saw some videos of the car, and racecar drivers were glowing about it's capabilities. At 4.4 million most of them will likely be collector toys of the super rich. But no doubt a rare few wealthy owners will actively drive and race them. It would be interesting to see this against the 2023 Tesla Roadster and Rimac Nevera. They are fundamentally opposite in design, but similar in acceleration.

For those wondering, even without the 30 HP kick of the ISG and maybe an even lower final weight, the T50S makes as much power to weight as a Koenigsegg One : 1 on regular gasoline and it runs on slicks, so 0-60 will be 2.4 sec or less. No wonder it does a 160+ trap speed. The 15 kg (150 N) push of the fan is also equivalent to drag at around 80 kmph so it's not insignificant. Now add both to the equation. On a track, this will slaughter them all.
