Those Space Marine inspired Stormtroopers really came out looking great!!! A New Hope is my favorite LoTR movie. Revenge of Saruman is a close second though.

I love the personalities in the setup. the army guys using cover, the storm troopers & uruk-hai being more "gung-ho", the cavalry flanking and cutting off the rout. Very cool
7:25 Oh man, I love that bit at the end of A New Hope when that random horde of Uruk-hai run past the rebels' victory celebration on Yavin IV. Really put a sting on that bit where Gandalf sacrificed himself to save the Fellowship from Darth Vader... Frick, now I want to see that as a diorama... Jokes aside, love this crossed-worlds battle build, and I've been working my way through the rest of them one by one. Can't wait to see more, especially your WIW builds!

Funniest thing about it is that in 40k setting this could not only really happen but wouldn't even be weird. Human forces of Imperial guard from 2 different regimens made a quick alliance with dark Eldar (probably offered souls and flesh of half survivors to them) and Tau in new suits that now also protect legs efficiently - all of this in order to defeat renegade chapter of Space marines.
"brother, they claim to be of the imperium" "Are they a guardsmen regiment brother?" "I know guardsmen brother and I have never seen the likes of them" "If you say so much as that brother, then they are no other than *HERETICS"* Just another day in the imperium

It would be really cool to see something like this in your Wild West series, and it could really give you a chance to go farther into the lore and history of the world. Ie, perhaps the people found ways of using the monsters as weapons? It would be cool to see a giant scorpion with a rider gunning down a combat mule and some Pinkertons? Amazing work on the diorama as ever and it’s an absolute treat to see a notice that you’ve posted a video!
Oh yes please!! I have been dying to see Boylei make a diorama showing how one faction in the WIW has "domesticated" some of the local beasties for fun and profit! Something like how Alexander the great incorporated war elephants into his army. For example: Outlaws riding on spiders/scorpions Indigenous peoples using dire wolves and/or those giant bipedal moose Or some unknown group using Thunderbirds/dino-terror birds as an air force...🤔

Haven't even watched yet. Saw the five boxes and started laughing. Showed my husband and he says "I don't see a crossover at all, 2 boxes of Imperial guard, space marines, Eldar, and Tau in odd armor. 😜"
Well my first message was, as stated, before watching. And on the box it shows the elves front and center. I didn't even realize there were Uruk hai in the box it went by so fast in the beginning.
Well, to be fair ONE IG box is technically Militarum Rough Riders. Totally different faction, they're all blue on the box's product shots! Guard are green, so they're different.
Honestly this video has got to be one of your best yet in my opinion! so many good jokes, such a great diorama and as always the video quality is incredible!
This is my favorite diorama by far, because this is something I always did with my toys as a kid. And you pulled it off so well! You brought so much life to it! I am in love, and I need more!

Really fun idea, excellently executed. It occurs to me that it would be fun to see something like this, except with a smaller number of fighters who are trying to sneak up on each other in a dense jungle. This battle in open terrain looks really intense, but dense foliage and low visibility would instead be tense. Why not throw in a couple of alien, tentacled jungle monsters/plants for good measure?
Yeah, but Space Marine power armor is exceptionally tough.... All he'll accomplish is scorching the aquila on the chest.... And then get a bolt to the torso for his troubles....

I think the Space Marines just win all wars, battles, skirmishes, especially this one. I just started reading the 40K books and it is just brutality to the umpteenth degree.

Hey Boylei Hobby time as for I have been doing models for two years (since I was eight😮) everyone of my family members were so surprised at how good i was for my age and today you inspired me to do my own diorama based of this video just a tiny bit different thank you so much for giving me such a good idea and a good diorama and yeah it turned out so well espiecally for I’m only 10 and my first diorama and also thanks to the ppl at my local model shop.😊

Have you ever considered using spray drywall texture in a can for some of your texturing on top of your terrain paste? You can get it at your local home improvement store and the larger cans have variable spray patterns for different sizes of texture. You could do very fine for a sand texture, larger for river rocks/dried river beds, etc. Just a thought. Great work!
I've been using texture spray-paint on basically everything I've ever 3D printed and it works amazing. Adds grain to wood, rocks to stone, bumps to flesh, it's nuts

Alternative to a bolt tracer could've been applying an acrylic muzzle flash to the gun with an LED behind it, and another one to the target (with some paint applied to it) to signify a bolt exploding in someone's chest.
I think the only ones who have an opportunity against the Space Marines are the Stormtroopers because of their blaster guns, maybe even the Afrika Korps if they call for tanks and artillery, but not with infantry alone XD

Uruk Hai or stormtroopers would start it presumably, attacking blindly or freaking out over the presence of nine-foot giants with big guns and presuming them to be illegally operating or rebel mercenaries. Hectic fighting starts, at which point the basic instinct would be to take down the big guys first.

I mean the space marines would probably win, but I believe that the stormtroopers would put up a significant fight as they are the most feared soldiers in their respective universe, especially if they had reinforcements on the way such as tie fighters or AT-ATs. I also believe that the knights might give the Astarties (hope I spelled that right) some trouble, as they are Calvary with really long wooden poles. They would at least heavily damage the space marines’ armor/weapons if not injure the men themselves. Just some food for thought. Some of your funnest work so far Boylei.

8:08 I'm so glad the carousel came back. The rule of 3s is preserved. It took so long since the first 2 that I was on the verge of having a stroke, but the tension made the return even better.

I've used it for some terrain (although I'm nowhere as skilled as this guy) and it looks good, but there is less control for lumping the dirt and such

@@Darkwood2027 after having been fighting each other. The WW2 figures were probably come across the Urak Hai who were fighting the Knights and then the stormtroopers with the Space Marines last..
One thing missing, a small blue box and the 2nd Doctor with Zoe and Jaime somewhere in the middle of it all trying to figure out what is going on...

The completed diorama looks like it would be a perfect fit with the final battle scene in the 'Ready Player One' movie.

I mean the space marines would probably win, but I believe that the stormtroopers would put up a significant fight as they are the most feared soldiers in their respective universe, especially if they had reinforcements on the way such as tie fighters or AT-ATs. I also believe that the knights might give the Astarties (hope I spelled that right) some trouble, as they are Calvary with really long wooden poles. They would at least heavily damage the space marines’ armor/weapons if not injure the men themselves. Just some food for thought. Some of your funnest work so far Boylei.
Space marine: “melta charge live brudas!”
Black Grail knight: “tis but a (fl) ash wound! Foools! I am invincible!”
Storm trooper: “look at the size of that thing! It’s hard to keep missing them! No matter how herd I try!”

Great work and very skilful. My only comment is that with a simple dark wash, the figures features would stand out so much more.
8:08 I'm so glad the carousel came back. The rule of 3s is preserved. It took so long since the first 2 that I was on the verge of having a stroke, but the tension made the return even better.
I know you just got mixed up but it made me laugh when you said the uruk kai were from the end of A New Hope. 7:22. It would have made a great movie.
