hello. I live in Korea and I'm making a diorama of a hanok. The Hanok and Octagonal Pavilion diorama of this work is really cool. And thank you for making a diorama of Korean hanok in such a cool way. My goal is to promote hanok. Thanks to this, it seems that Korean hanok is known more quickly. I always admire you
Go for it - everyone has to start somewhere - then learn from your mistakes (if any) and go on! Any project you do will always be better than any project you dont do
I have a patient and the attention to detail but I don’t have concentration or energy 😅. I hope that when/if you end up making things they turn out well 😊
Glad you stuck with the authentic Korean kits. I lived in South Korea for four years, and while I'm no expert, I do remember reading that Korean temples are unique, and there are quirks about their design and architecture that are absent in temples built in China or Japan. This makes your design uniquely Korean, and I appreciate that.
This is a really lovely project. The sense of movement in the dragon model and the water ripples is a wonderful contrast to the stillness of the woman and the rest of the scene. It really tells a story. A lot of your builds have strong story elements, but this one feels more strongly thematic... as though there's a lot more going on under the surface (if you will) beyond the visible scene.
Definitely bring an extra suitcase to Japan. I haven’t spent too much time in their hobby stores but from what I’ve seen you’ll definitely need that suitcase! A wonderful diorama BTW!
From what I have seen of Japan's hobby stores, if I ever go there I will be bringing at least two suitcases and just wear the same clothes for my stay there. 😁 If it comes down to having clean clothes or more models...models will win every dang time. 😊
I love it!!! one thing I love most is how you keep the try to keep it authentic to Korea (such as the houses) love your videos they always are something I look forward to
Glad you had a safe trip. I have to say that this is a great one. Between you, T nu, Bill, just say that yall come up with some of the best build videos with story to put us in your mindset for what you are doing. Truly gifted
I have been watching you for a while now and I can tell the difference in your voice overs and how you have grown in confidence and the jokes. You who got me in on hobbying and I'm glad I can see your channel grow.
Excellent! I didn't expect such a beautiful product from two kits found in Korea. The scene of ancient lakeside houses with scary creatures is truly impressive.
Beautiful! I spent almost a year in Okinawa in 1981-1982 and very much remember beautiful buildings like these while visiting the different areas of the island. Your diorama videos are the highlight of my Sunday mornings. Thank you for sharing your visions and your talents. Be Safe and Be Blessed.
@@shouheishun2239 yes… I know this and I just knew that someone like you was going to point it out. Okinawa and Korea each have beautiful artistry in their architecture history, and I was recognizing that fact. But no, you just had to point out the obvious. Well done.
Watching your videos is always so calming and interesting. You also always add a unique story in some way and it really improves the experience. I hope you have a great day!
If you steal North of the Border's realistic rock texture secret by using real rocks, I promise to not tell Adam XD This is an amazing sculpt, I envy your confidence and bravery in all of these projects. I can only hope to achieve such skills one day. Stay brave, good sir! ( Seriously, I won't tell Adam! )
Yessss, another Boylei video!! You are one of my top three favorite TH-camrs who I study to learn how I should make my videos! Another banger of a video, keep it up man! ❤
has anyone ever told you you sound like a much chiller middle aged version of tuffnut from how to train your dragon? i mean this in the most complimentary way possible. i like it
I'm impressed at how precisely similar your layers of resin are. There's a line where the bubbles are different, but at least from your glamor shots that's the only way to tell, the colors are spot on. Very nice overall as well!
This is probably the best resin you have done! Great job! I can see bubbles half way up, but it makes it look like there's stuff living down there like algae and other stuff that produce air bubbles because of how dark/murky the water looks!
I love the Korean architectural models you picked up and I think that's the prettiest dragon I've seen! I DEFINITELY look forward to your upcoming (someday!) trip to Japan and seeing what model kits you manage to bring home!
This was a great diorama as always. I really like Eastern designs so im glad you did something like this. Get well soon as it sounds like youre a little under the weather.
I wish I was this good at anything. I would buy any of these in a heartbeat they are all done beautifully. so satisfying to see the end product each time!
It's at the very end when you see the finished piece of art that the true magic happens - not a single detail to pull you out of the scene, the perfection transports you all the way inside. I got chills. Amazing work.
Dungeons and Lasers makes some great stuff. I've never seen that rubber roofing before, I'm already a big fan of that for laser-cut MDF buildings, I'd love to see that in more kits.
i think this is one of my favorites that you've done. beautiful and very pleasing to the eye, it's not simple but there isn't a million things going on. fantastic work!
I like to think this is during the same time as the Wild West series, just on the other side of the world. Cool to show different relationships with the monsters across the world
This man needs to put all his creations in his house somewhere and showcase them all. From the first one, he ever did to the last one he did up till now.
Welcome back, Boylei! I missed you last Sunday. I hope you're feeling much better! I see that you are using the kits you showed us in your last posting that at first I thought were reference books. They look very fun (and different) to build, and as always, you did an excellent job with your diorama's composition and construction! I hope it was as relaxing to build as it is to look at. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Resin is a fickle mistress and I love it because for every 3 fails and 2 ok pours I get one absolutely stunning and mind blowing pour that just makes me fall in love with resin all over again.
Been a fan for a long time. I am always amazed, not just in your talent, but also your creativity and imagination. You are always able to make a diorama that tells a story, with flavor and flair.
Everything about this diorama is gorgeous and it gives me a feeling of serenity.
Much like the Northern Line... oh, wait.

Yes, because a water dragon attacking a monastery invokes a sense of peace
For once, a monster diorama where the monster is not about to devour someone. And it looks great!

Are there any 6mm scale kits?
@@dubuyajay9964 I'm working on drawings myself, not kits.
@Hanok_diorama Yes, but in S. Korean Stores I mean.

Hexagonal pavilion.

His first project was probably extremely bad too he became a master through practice.

do what u gotta do i most definately am the most impatient being on the planet and im definitely not an artist so…. do with that what u will

This is probably one of my favorite builds you have done! Love it when you mix terrain, structures, people, and monsters!
Your pronunciation of Korean words and locations is spot on! Glad you enjoyed your time and found some kits while you stayed here!
I lived in Korea for three years as a kid. To say this makes me miss my time there would be an understatement. Lovely work!

YES! LOVE lake monsters! Was hoping for a Loch Ness w/a plesiosaur sneaking-up on a fisherman or something, but this is extremely awesome!
I want a Nessie peeking over the shoulder of a researcher studying a book titled something like "The Loch Ness Monster Doesn't Exist". For humor :D
I got sick yesterday with a bad cold and I came here because your videos always calm me down and make me feel better!

I would guess that these structures happily reminded him of his experiences 40 years ago in Japan even though they are from a different country.

Can your next diorama be a small fishing boat about to be eaten from underneath by a giant monster?
has anyone ever told you you sound like a much chiller middle aged version of tuffnut from how to train your dragon? i mean this in the most complimentary way possible. i like it

Excellent Asian-themed diorama! This was entertaining and an excellent motivator for model makers!
This is probably the best resin you have done! Great job! I can see bubbles half way up, but it makes it look like there's stuff living down there like algae and other stuff that produce air bubbles because of how dark/murky the water looks!
Absolutely nailed the murkiness of the water to create the real feel of the two worlds.
