Just tried this recipe tonight!! They were so delicious and everyone loved them. Your inventiveness is inspiring, and I tell everyone you taught me how to cook. I've followed some or your recipes loosely before (and enjoyed them very much!), but after watching a lot of your videos with the clear, detailed explanations of *why* you do or don't do things, I feel comfortable inventing my own curries with whatever I have on hand. Thank you so much, Bumbi! Keep sharing your amazing videos, and I'll keep enjoying and sharing them ☺️
Greetings, Bumbi! I made these yesterday with the addition of a little cinnamon to the flour and they turned out perfectly. Even the dough smelled delicious! I served these with your Keema Matar, only this time I tried bison instead of lamb! Really good! Thank you again, Chef Bumbi, for furthering my journey in Indian cooking. 🙏
I love how you say “sit back and relax”, because that’s exactly what I do as soon as I start watching one of your videos. I purchased chickpea flour a while ago and couldn’t remember what I needed it for. Could I use it for this bread? And if not what what recipe did you post in the last few months that needed chickpea flour?
Thanks Dianna. Chickpea flour won’t be good for this recipe. Here are the links to recipes using chickpea flour/gramflour 1. th-cam.com/play/PLxgPEcdhkY4HEQ4BJJRPDb8DrsTN87VVV.html 2. th-cam.com/video/wH5gV5p-8LY/w-d-xo.html
I just made these the spicy way and they're lovely, especially with a bit of a char on them. Great as a wrap for avocado with a little onion and lime juice. Thanks for your easy, great recipes, Bumbi.
Dear Bumbi, we call them Lokše 😊 As an allergic I make them with gluten free buckwheat flour. Instead of gluten I add 1 teaspoon of Psyllium, absorbs moist and keep it soft and tasty We eat them as side dish with roasted Duck or Goose, or Sweet way : Spread Plum Jam and top up grated Poppy seeds mixed with little hot milk Spread Honey and top up with grated Walnut Some time I add Cinnamon or Ginger to the dough. Thank you for sharing 😋😋
Thanks for sharing that very useful information. I really love it when people share how they make things work and we learn so much from each other by sharing. Thanks so much.
@@CurriesWithBumbi I learned a lot from YT videos and appreciate people who make them to teach us how to cook, Im happy to share my cooking tips. I love your channel 😍
You can definitely store them in the fridge for a day and reheat them in a microwave or over a hot skillet on medium heat for a few seconds, but with any flatbread it tastes best when freshly done.
You should not lose hope and keep making it. Practise makes it better and better. I hated making rotis when I first started because they were so disappointing but I kept making them (thanks to my husband for tolerating all those pathetic rotis but he always looked forward to a bowl of dal for soaking those breads. 😃).
Please clarify, should the dough be allowed to rest after combining ingredients? I ask because it seems to be an important step for your other chapathis.
Ok 👍 Mrs BUMBI COLIN will practise! Hate rolling pins though……idea? If you come my house I will cook Italian risotto (rice) now what about a curry 🍛 twist? Mrs Colin not sure 🤔 Comment appreciated Bumbi 🙏
Thank you for the video. I almost didn't watch because it said it was made with TWO ingredients, and that just didn't sound good. It did NOT have two ingredients. I think it ended up with six ingredients. I do not know why you had the title say two ingredients.

By the way, I made this recipe with oatmeal flour instead of regular flour. They came out great.
So happy to hear that. Thanks for trying the recipe and putting your own twist into it.
Ah yeah, a better flour to use. Did you modify the amounts?
@@Lucretia9000No, I did not modify the amount.
Delicious & tender. Gorgeous colour too! I used Atta. Will be serving with chickpea curry and spinach salad. Thank you.

Where do you buy buckweet flour?
What a perfect recipe for such a rainy day as today! I am making a stew so this will make a perfect match! Thank you as always! 💕💕💕
It’s raining here as well. Glad you liked the recipe
Following your recommendation very helpful emplaned step by step cheers thank you so very much and appreciate 🌹🙏🥰
Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
Looks delicious. Would you consider putting it onto an open gas flame at the end to char it a bit and give it that "tandoor" flavour?
No I won’t recommend it when making parathas. If you plan on making it like a roti without frying in oil/butter then you can definitely char it.
A friend gave us sooo many sweet potatoes I didn't know what to do with them. Thank goodness I found your recipe lol!!
I am glad you found this video useful. Please do send me your feedback after trying the recipe.
Looks delicious and easy to make. Will definitely try this weekend.
Thanks Nitadi
Wow!!! These look absolutely amazing Bumbi. What a brilliant recipe. I can't wait to make them. Thank you ❤xxx
Thanks Emily
This looks amazing and quite simple. Can you store them? Do you refrigerate them? How long will they last?
You can definitely store them in the fridge for a day and reheat them in a microwave or over a hot skillet on medium heat for a few seconds, but with any flatbread it tastes best when freshly done.
Very nice - thank you! 🤙🏻
I wonder if the dough is strong enough to make a stuffed bread like paratha. I will have to try this.
No stuffing it won’t be a good idea
I'm sure this would taste nice just by itself. Trying this soon as I run out of lunchbox doable ideas 😊
Yes it does taste good as it is
Nice recipe Bumbi. Can we replace the maida with regular Atta?
Sure you can
Yes, I plan to make with regular Atta as well
Namaste 🙏 Bumbi
The thing is that I have no luck 🍀 with flatbreads nans or rotis. Buy buy buy in Colin’s 🏡 ❤❤❤
Dhanyavaad gorgeous

Nice video Bumbi. I love sweet potato. Sweet potatoes stay moist in the oven if they are wrapped in foil.
Will surely try that out. Thanks for that idea.
@@CurriesWithBumbi when I baked the potatoes without foil they came out dry and my wife got angry. Lol
@@brandon_wallace even I don’t like dry baked potatoes 😀
Wow I am lovin it!! 😋😋Bumbi ,can I use normal Atta??
Sure you can
Thank u dear! I also want the recipe for roasted cauliflower plz.. it’s looking scrumptious 😋 Wishing u a happy weekend 💕
@@NavuPooja17 Sure, I am planning on uploading it next Friday. Have a lovely weekend.
Does this dough need to rest before rolling it out? I noticed there wasn't mentioned so I wanted to be sure.
It is not necessary for this recipe.
I have tasted potato paratha, but this sweet potato stuffed paratha is surely novel. It sounds tasty really
Thank you ☺️
Please clarify, should the dough be allowed to rest after combining ingredients? I ask because it seems to be an important step for your other chapathis.
For this recipe you do not need to let it rest as it may get stickier.
Can canned yams be used?
I haven’t ever used but you can give it a try.
I made this with pumpkin instead of sweet potatoes as they have 1/3 the calories. It was still nice, although I don't think quite as nice as Bumbi's.
Thanks for trying the recipe. I appreciate your feedback 🙏🏾

That’s so sweet of you. I would love to have Risotto with some ghee drizzled over it and fresh green chillies.

There 2 MAIN ingredients in this recipe
1. FLOUR
2. SWEET POTATOES
You won’t be counting in water, right. Salt, curry powder are optional.
Mine was a fail follow
The instructions and didnt turn out this way lol
Sorry to hear that.
This is not 2 ingredients Bumbi
It is flour and sweet potato !!! If you think salt/water/oil needs to be counted, that’s a bit too much, isn’t it !!!
Ad way too long.
Sorry, unfortunately that’s not in my hands.
