- Keep Ladder Safety in mind when cleaning gutters, or hanging holiday lights. I cover important tips to keep you safe and out of the hospital.
✅ Inspect your ladder for any damage or dents.
✅ Your ladder should always be on hard, level ground. If you’re on dirt, you can flip the feet down into the dirt. Always make sure it’s straight up and down.
✅ Keep the ladder at a 75 degree angle against the building - or with your feet at the base and a straight back, you should be able to extend your arms and grab the rung right in front of you.
✅ Keep your center of gravity down the middle of the ladder.
✅ Maintain 3 points of contact on the ladder at all times.
✅ Don’t over-extend your reach (doing so changes your center of gravity and the ladder could tip sideways.
✅ With a free-standing A-Frame ladder, always lock the middle arms. Never step on the paint tray, the back (smaller) rungs or the top 2 steps.
A Ladder Stabilizer is for extension ladders only. They help prevent damage to gutters, help keep you safer and it’s easy to attach and take off (when not in use).

Good video and very informative. I recently purchased a gutter cleaning attachment for my leaf blower and No More Ladders for me now !!! 🎉
The leaf blower attachment sounds like a great idea! I'll check it out👍
Very simple ladder bracket, safe
This is very helpful. Thank you.
🙌 glad to help!
OSHA rules are 4 to 1. Every 4' up should be 1' out from the base.
Where did you get the stabilizer ?
Menards, but Home Depot also sells them. I absolutely recommend!!
