Thanks Ric! My wife and I are painting our Titusville, FL home. As many seniors are, we too are uncomfortable up high on a ladder, so I am looking for tools and techniques to make us safe up there. I am a knot tying instructor, and am very capable of using this method you demonstrate. In addition, we purchased a 48 inch stand-off stabilizer for the top. Thank you so much for this. - gus

I saw another video where a professional hammered a stake in the ground...then used that to anchor ladder down with straps attached.

@@Son_of_Aragorn that's a great idea! Thanks. I fall down 20 feet 2 years ago because I didn't strap down My ladder I was in the hospital for two weeks my body was busted up .
