This is true but often the stuff clogging gutters also contains the material from shingle roofs, which can have plenty of harsh chemicals and fiberglass in it as well as bird feces.
Thank you very helpful video. When my gutters were installed they put a barrier to block leaves and debris. Well this week it was pouring reallly bad when i got home and i noticed a bunch of water pouring over the sides. My entire gutters were full of dirt and plant material. Fun weekend Fun times. The barriers were nothing more than cheap grade chicken wire😅
There are a lot of people who do not or cannot do their own gutters. My husband and I used to do this kind of work. Quick easy money for anybody who's willing to work a little bit. I have taken trash bags to the roof and went along the edge to get the wet debris out. I have also thrown it on the ground and cleaned it up afterwards. That really depended on what was under where I was working. Fun stuff.

You still have to clean the junk that gets on top of them. Also, good gutter guards can be expensive to install on a nice home. Over the long run, the homeowner can save money just by having someone come out and clean them a couple times a year rather than spending thousands of dollars to have gutter guards installed professionally.
Gutter guards help but depending on your situation you will still need to clean the eaves. They've reduced my cleaning to three to four times a season at the cabin.
So you not only have plastic gutters but when the rain water pours out of the downpipe it flows directly on the ground next to the foundation or basement? Maybe you want to consider leading it away a bit so it can seep away where it does no harm or even better lead it in some sort of sewerage system?
I wonder if the company uses any type of fall protection when working on roofs, falling off a roof is a very common injury for people that work on roofs.

But the bucket might get heavy and cause discomfort upstairs?
Put a plastic or tarp below the ladder then you can easily pack the debris up and throw it out

Bending gutters left & right leaning the ladder that way. Get support bars.
Always use a u hook on the end of the ladder so it doesn’t rest on the gutter edge and dent it and use a bucket on a rope or something sloppy

what is connection between gutters and water in basement ?
Water running down the side of the house right to the foundation. Gutters prevent this but if they are clogged water overflows.
The purpose of gutters is to redirect rainwater away from the house because a dry foundation is essential to the integrity of the stucture.
