@@dainermade I never see those pallets nice coloured long pallets at Bunnings, you must get there before me - I go check the pallets at Domain Bunnings almost every day
Hahaha you're a funny dude, one of my favourite descriptive terms, "wonkey donkey" is me after a few beers but can be applied to many things. The spiral cutter head is awesome, but expensive. Way cheaper than a noise fine from council if I remember correctly!!!!
G Day Mark, greetings from Georgia, USA. Being a woodturner myself, I stumbled upon your page and, I must admit, I have been BINGE watching all day! Your use of pallet wood is amazing, and inspired this 69yo heart to get back into the shop! New subscriber!
Hello my dear friend Mark, Yes, Steve Cortez, inspired by his last video. He got it from this nail extractor. You inspired him. I also watched his video. Inspired by you, I made a straightening machine just like you :-) Your new thickness machine seems quieter. Workshop floors should not be slippery for work safety. We agree with you. Dancing and applying glue. Your video techniques are fun and awesome. With the router, you no longer need to level. Because you have a great thickness machine. You have the "LE PALLET" label now. The plates are all finished and ready. You've created beautiful boards from tall 3 meter pallet boards. It's nice to have a playlist for the entire series. I want to see a great table top from these plates. It always works great. instructive idea. congratulations. Thank you for sharing. Big greetings, Best regards. (You mentioned me on Instagram today, your short film was great. Thank you very much.) facebook.com/sahanebilgiler1/videos/390052225691910/
I am glad to see that you upgraded your planer...it performs better and it makes you happy! Seriously, no one should underestimate the amount of work necessary to make the pallet wood as nice as you make them. The good, the bad and the ugly get transformed...well maybe not the bad. Looking forward to "the big table." Take care.
Tomorrow I'll get myself a whole lot of pallets and try my hand at bigarse pallet-wood slabs. Thanks for all the info you've provided in your videos - will come in handy. Cheers!
Hey Mark, couldn’t see a video on your spiral upgrade sorry if I missed it - I did the same and also took the fan blade out to really cut down the noise, the dusty means I don’t need the fan. You might have already done that though, newish subscriber working through your videos as I work through all the pallets I am collecting!
Well for not getting bored, you make pallet shuffling interesting and unique. The Dewalt planer is my next purchase and the helix or spiral cutter heads looks to do a great job. Thank you for sharing ( Stay Safe ) .
Hola! 🖐I rarely come across long pallets like that but when I do they end up on the bed of my truck super fast! Your shop looks good though it looks like you are still acclimating to the floor plan as you move the slats onto your workbench and bounce around a bit, haha! So the left hip is good on the slide but the right one not so much, get that checked out. We want you to make hundreds more videos and it would not be the same without the glue up slide. Awesome looking pallet slabs, great job. Take care and have a good one, Adios! 👊
Howzit Mark, just got chanced to watch your video. Had a great laugh as always. Love the long slide for the LONGGGGGGG BOARDS lol. Also the fairy dust sprinkles. Shop is looking decent. Must be HOT as a sod there . Here its constantly raining just not washing the covid away LOL. Take care keep the vids coming.
"just tightening up the clamp, I hadn't even moved the back of it... hello dickhead" 🤣 bwahahahahaha🤣 love it, we've all done it, and many more to come! I find when I'm shooting the nails out of the boards and they don't come all the way out, I flip the board and shoot em back in, they generally tend to come out second hit, not always but most of the time. 👌🏽 Looking good, that spiral head cutter, sweet as! Nice work, buddy! 👍🏽
I knew it Dance along with Dainer to the Wonkey Donkey slide tutorial, but seriously buying decent wood rolling it round in the dirt and claiming its pallet wood genius just genius. Great to see what is basically landfill or fire wood made into something that will look so fantastic is the genius thing, loving the vids mark keep em coming
Mark, pretty impressive how those pallets turned out in the end! That helical head is doing an awesome job. And the log slabbing jig is also a good addition, especially with the elderly *Grab Handle* 😜👍
I'm a long way from getting or needing a thicknesser, but that one looks like it does the job magnificently. And good to learn about sawdust being the secret to the slide. Another great video.
Hi Mark I love the work bench you made out of pallet wood. I would like to make one as well Do you have plans for this work bench that I could purchase off you or could you at least tell me how it is. Thanks Les
You're very lucky with the different wood pallets you get, here in the UK they seem to all be Euro pallets made of pine & spruce boohoo. It's quite hard to get some contrasting colours when every pallet looks the same (excluding painted ones) Keep up the great videos & tips, I'm about to start on a waterfall coffee table inspired by your videos & have amassed about 200 'planks' from busting down pallets I can use. Cheers
@@dainermade I'll have to take some pics while i'm doing it & put into a little compilation video on my channel but I've not done any video editing before. I'll tag you in it when I'm done.
That is a very interesting looking pallet. What do they put on those? I get ones they haul metal for trailers on but they use small slats and long thick oak runners.
Did you say "fake" pallets at the beginning mate? Curious, you have a planer and thicknesser but you used the table saw, how comes? Cracked me up mate good video, loved the sprinkling of dust like chef hahah!!!
What spiral head did you get Mark ? I literally just opened up my Lux Cut III head package this afternoon ! Will install this weekend. Was told Byrd version was 20-24 weeks away ! (I wanted factory size not smaller).
That's spiral cutting head seems to be a good investment, not that easy to get hold of over here in the UK. Has the neighbors been over again to tell you how quite you are now?
Great video mate. Are some of those pallets hard wood ? I only seem to find pine. I saw on uncle knackers latest video that brick and tile places tend to have hard wood pallets.
LOL ... got my daily dose of Kilimanjaro at 4:51am. 🧛🏻♂️ Mate you have to stop with fake palette wood once and for all. 🤡 Love the new camera angel and how shop is evolving yet again. Cheers down under.
@@dainermade Off-course. Little by little. The whole life is a learning process don’t we all know that. Organic pace vs pushing it makes ALL the difference and I think you know that. Its obvious! So while we are at the “life lessons” you installed helical head for the all-mighty planer, now is it just big difference in noise reduction or in finish? Or all of the above. Sorry but maybe I did not understand the message you tryed to send. (OMG just not I noticed the salt-dust-bae touch) 🤣🤣🤣
