Mate that glue up was a classic, it was like watching myself, funny as, I always seem to have twice as much glue on me than the project but never mind that’s life. 😂😂😂👍👍👍

I call it a nacks nacker 😂 that glue up would of pushed me over the edge mate and you handled it in your stride. The finished joints looked amazingly good as well. 😊

This is going to be one mighty table! I like using biscuits, cus when you cock up you can just recut the same slot again pretty easily. Notice your dust collection system in the back ground, looks a sweet bit of kit that. 👍

Very nice box joints! (Btw finger joints are when the joint is in line with the wood and they are usually more pointy) thanks for the sticker shout out! Especially on an awesome build like this 😁😁 it must be nice to work with pallet wood where you can just randomly screw things into it and just say the screw holes add character 🤣🤣

I think a finger joint is used when putting boards together for length (think worktops and stuff where multiple strips are used for almost unlimited length). Box joints are on corners. I think. There might, as with all woodworking things, be regional variations on the names.

Do you always use a PVA for laminating slabs? Have you tried a polyurethane like Bostik AV515? I know it’s pricier, but it goes a lot further and it’s WAY stronger. Just thought I’d check your two cents on it.

What are the dimensions of the slabs you typically build?
I have come to find my self that bisquits only make it a bit easier... just a bit, not much. I do prefer them eatable ones with a cafe au lait.

Check out Peter Millard’s video - th-cam.com/video/aNjO4SBe5kw/w-d-xo.html - on making an accurate, large timber square. You could make it 1200 x 1200 if you wanted to and stick a ledge on one end to hook it over the edge of your work. Just my thoughts. Got to think outside the box …. Or is it finger?

What's your secret mate? No one has that much time available in the middle of a MASSIVE slab glue up. But there you are, chatting away to the camera without a care in the world as if your glue had an indefinite working time! 😂⏱
