Sir, I just passed my test first time. This might go unnoticed but I want to thank you for the videos that helped me and many learners around the uk, keep the hard work. God bless you and your family.
I cant stress how amazing these videos have been!! I watched them 2 weeks prior to my test lots and wow i passed first time! The way you explain stuff makes so so much sense
I passed my driving test 5 years ago but I’m still subscribed to this channel ☺️ this came at a perfect time as Im about to go on a road trip to Scotland this weekend so just refreshing myself as it’ll be my first time in 2 years driving a manual for an extended period of time
I've just had my fourth lesson, and it had to be cut short. I'm devastated. I've lost all confidence in myself. I get too lost in my own head, and I get so confused about the pedals. For example, when to press the clutch, when to brake, and even the sensitivity of the pedals. 😢
I experienced the same but watching videos n making notes about clutch has helped me a lot.....challenge now is gear....m learning how to put the right gear i always put the wrong 1
From watching your vidios I already feel like I have more idea how to drive a manual car than some of the driving instructors in my country. It's just that I am not perfect with pressing the gas as yet. But I am telling you that in me you are already harnessing a very good driver.
A great video really helpful. I don't understand why some people put their thumb down why? Please keep doing these really informative videos and thank you.
I've been driving my automatic car since I bought it last year. I love it and it's good and smooth, but I do miss driving a manual gearbox. At least I've had chances too with a rental car when I had it in MOT. Soon Manuel cars could be obsolete with electric car takeover 😔. Always enjoying watching your videos Chris
I've learned two things from my mechanic about clutch control... Many say that coming to a stop you should engage lower gear and let the engine slow you down before pressing on the brake pedal (engine braking) in order to prolong your brake life... My mechanic says that good pads and rotors are around 150€ while your clutch and/or dual mass flywheel are around 1000€ (without labour) on which you are putting extra strain when engine braking (so use engine braking, but not at every light or stop sign) ... Next he told me that many modern manuals have you press on the clutch pedal while startinf the car even in neutral. This many state is a safety feature to prolong battery and starter life, but in reality it's there for drivers that forget to check their gear before turning on the vehicle (so it doesn't violently jolt into another car or wall) ...of course there is some merit to prolonging the life of your starter and battery but there's still that same problem with the clutch being more expensive than a starter or battery, same as the aditional strain caused on sometimes expensive engine/clutch mounts (~400€ without labour)... This "idiot proof" feature can be turned off if you are 100% certain you will never turn on your car while in gear (I personally had a close call like 17 years ago as a new driver, I almost jolted my car over a ledge so to this day I depress that pedal while starting no matter what 😂)
I’m struggling with the going off part I guess.. and quite some times at stops, when restarting I stall the car.. I might release the clutch too fast and not push enough the gas
the thing that always gets me is when im turning a corner and im going too fast in second but not slow enough for first, but if i press the brake anymore the car will stall. its like the only thing that holds me back
Question….let’s say I’m driving in gear 3 and need to take a right at a junction whilst there is oncoming traffic, I’m assuming it’s best for me to stop or go down to gear 1 then moving off when it’s clear? Dumb question my apologies!
How to change to gear one when you clutch down and brake at traffic lights or junction. Normally you say , clutch down and remove your leg before changing. the gear. So no do you change the gear when your leg is on the clutch at a junction?

Chris, I saw you slow down for a slight bend in third and you only braked without changing gear. What if I am in 4th and I have to slow down for a slight bend??? Should I shift to a lower gear in that case?
As far as i understand your video.. we press the clutch only to change gear and to stop the car then release it? I mean we don't have to rest our foot on that? am i right? can u clear this for me please?
I wish I am learning from you my instructor keeps screaming every time I touch the clutch while driving at a very low speed and with a low gear whenever I use the brake it will make the car to start to jerk when I ask why he said I did the break with force am getting frustrated with this instructor I am sure he didn’t graduate from driving academy

I have done my car bike taxi and bus test but I’m going for my wagon and this is the first one I have been nervous about
I like your videos easy for understanding👍✌, Thank You 👍👍
Appreciate you watching 🙂

I already know how to drive with a clutch but man I wish I had you teaching me when I learned, my instructor explained it very poorly XD
Thanks for your nice comment 🙂
Thank you so much
Appreciate you watching :)
the thing that always gets me is when im turning a corner and im going too fast in second but not slow enough for first, but if i press the brake anymore the car will stall. its like the only thing that holds me back
only use first gear if moving from stationary!
I recognise the area you driving at 😂 you are my neighbour 😊
Practice makes a man perfect.
I'm really appreciate it
Pls do videos on front, left and right side judgement 🙏
What’s you opinion on shifting into neutral when approaching a stop to avoid stalling the car?
As a left-side driver those camera angle trigger me like nothing else had done in some time. Great video though 👌
Question….let’s say I’m driving in gear 3 and need to take a right at a junction whilst there is oncoming traffic, I’m assuming it’s best for me to stop or go down to gear 1 then moving off when it’s clear? Dumb question my apologies!

The gear should match your speed. Depends what speed you need to slow down to for the slight bend.
Hi, could you please let me know which brand shoe you are using while driving?
Fred Perry :)
@@worlddriving thank you
Please make a video on how to use clutch or brake on downhill
So I have put the brake down and clutch to stop . Which one should I release first to move
As far as i understand your video.. we press the clutch only to change gear and to stop the car then release it? I mean we don't have to rest our foot on that? am i right? can u clear this for me please?
Only release the clutch once you've stopped and selected neutral.
When you park your car, which is advisable 1st gear or neutral before hand brake
first gear is always better cause it prevents car from rolling
Just make sure u have the habit of pushing the clutch down before u start
Super
Can you make a comparison between ABS and NON-ABS.?
Fan from India
Thanks for watching from India :)
Is it necessary to depress the clutch padel to start up the engine please?
If it's a relatively new car then you'll have to or the car won't start. Otherwise you don't have to as long as it's in neutral.
Will the clutch get destroyed if I step on it too much? I get nervous and sometimes I press the clutch and brake/gas at the same time lol
Your videos are the best but.. those shoes man you need to invest in some new ones 😄
Outrageous 😂😂
They're good shoes for driving
Always break first match while the reducing speed press the clutch then change gear
Still have no idea what the clutch even means? Is it like so u can turn more normal when going slow?
❤❤
If I want to come to a stop i just put my car in neutral and break until im standing.
I actually thought we press clutch first than brake
❣️
Stopping car completely
Change the geer
uh uh you're going to destroy your clutch plate by pressing it like you showed
Why? Never destroyed a clutch plate before.
Fan from the Philippines🇵🇭 Thanks Chris!
Thanks for watching from the Philippines 🙂
Dang the clutch seems so annoying and stubborn. I guess an auto car is better, right Chris?
It's ok after a bit of practice :)
