These pictures of FN next to G types is giving me flashbacks to High School 😂😂 I love and appreciate being FN now, but back then I was surrounded by Gs and Rs and felt HUGE by comparison 😜
I'm 1,78m - and finally I understand why all things frilly, dainty, millefleur-patterns, too thin straps, thin pencil heels, too small bags or small dainty jewellery always looked out of place and somehow "lost" and unharmonius on me. You are a gem! 💕
Most of my life I felt like an oddity with my broad face, broad shoulders, small breasts, wide rib cage and a flat bottom. I was way ahead of my classmates in junior high with my height and my siblings would call me "Amazon women" which was very unflattering to them - and me. I felt too tall, too broad and too much. The Kibbe system has helped me understand and appreciate my 5'10" FN frame - and myself.
Me too! I am 185 cm and I felt soooo huge! And wide! Like a cupboard but with super long legs and arms 😄 I am not overweight but this wideness always made me feel almost manly...I am so thankful for these videos.. going to change my wardrobe dramatically
After this, how ridiculous is the apple/pear body type classification?! Who else is a flamboyant natural, and have tried waist emphasis because of that, and thought they looked ridiculous?!
I dunno... A pear-shaped figure could help differentiate a "curvy Robust [cH]" from a standard-variant Robust [H]. (H stands for "husky", so as to avoid getting Robusts confused with Romantics.)
@@daniellevinson6975 you seem to know a lot about this stuff. Do you think I could be FN even with a big bust? I'm a DD cup when I'm at my ideal weight. I put weight on evenly.
@@julieme7927 Depending on your other features, you very well could be. Both Naturals and "flambotant Naturals" gain weight primarily from the waist up...
@@julieme7927 (Just so you know, Robusts are not an archetype you'll find on Kibbe's list; I'm in the process of creating a plus-sized equivalent for his system.)
Omg all my life people have told me to wear high waisted pants bc I have long legs and a short torso. Now that I've switched to low rise it's so much more flattering, compliments the (minimal) natural curve of my waist, and doesn't make me look so gangly! I'm team low rise forever, so glad its back in style

I am 5'10'' and eastern asian where the average height of women is around 5'3''. It was painful when I was younger when personal identity were forming. I felt out of place and got bullied in school, unfriendly catcalls and double-glances on street. But I am very happy with my bodytype and features now. I don't think Yang and masculinity equal to manly, or less feminine.
Oh wow, I was stuck between flamboyant natural and soft dramatic. When you compared the two it finally clicked for me that I’m definitely soft dramatic. I have longs arms & legs, big hands and feet, slightly wide shoulders but I always have to accommodate my curve. Whereas you mentioned flamboyant natural don’t have to, they can where bulky things and look alright. I can’t- I have to think about my bone structure, my breasts, thighs and hips. When wearing flamboyant natural recommendations- unstructured clothings etc I tend to look and feel horrible.
Agreed, I'm 5'10" with athletic gifts BUT I have tonnes of curves, breasts, small waist, hips and ghetto booty etc I need waist emphasis or I look sloppy and huge. I'm quite thin though. I figure I'm a SOFT FN I guess. I wear more SD styles.
At first, I couldn't decide if I was a soft natural or soft dramatic, then I couldn't decide if I was a flamboyant natural or soft dramatic, and now I decided to consider myself as a mix between the latter. Most SD snd FN I can see a difference in, but to say the truth some SD and FN look interchangeable to me, even after their bodies and faces are being explained...so, I'll call myself sd/fn. lol
I'm trying to know if I'm flamboyant or soft natural😭 I relate to almost everything about flamboyant natural but I'm 1'65m (around 5'5) so I'm not tall and I also have a shorter torso so not elongated limbs. Besides that I relate to everything, specially the part about looking a bit muscular. I don't see much softness in my facial features either like soft naturals do. I feel like a shorter or smaller version of flamboyant natural :/
Same! I was almost convinced I was a FN 'till she got to the part about the clothes. I also feel somewhere in the middle of the two, but SD clothing suits me best. I feel like a SD with FN face
@@zoe2631legs and arms are limbs. Most ppl with elongated (proportionally) legs will have a shorter torso. So that doesn’t disqualify you. Being slightly shorter can be FN if they have elongated appearance. Do you look taller?
I really appreciate you sticking to the book. I'm a pure Natural and it makes me a little sad that DK has done away with the pure types. I can't find myself in any other the others.
I'm definitely a flamboyant natural. This video helped a lot! Especially all the comparison photos. All the actresses that I've been compared to were in there. 😄 I'm 5'11" tall with very long legs and arms and pretty straight looking, although if you take my measurements I do have a bit of an "hourglass" shape. You would never know by looking at me though. Its interesting to me that people never think I'm tall by seeing photos of me. Then when they see me in person they're surprised. Thank you for all the effort you put in your videos 👏
What do you mean a bit of an hourglass shape? Is your waist at 8in or more smaller than your bust/shoulders and hips (which are the same as each other)? I'm just asking because I still don't know what type I am. I thought I was FN but I'm a definite hourglass shape because my hips and bust are the same size and my waist is 11in smaller. The thing is I don't look like a soft dramatic. I'm so confused. How did you decide?
I've always felt like an awkward Amazon, even though I'm not tall. My favourite outfit is a shift dress with a co-ordinating long cardigan, which now makes sense. I've been drawn lately to tunic sets. My biggest style wish for some time was to look 'polished' but it just looks wrong on me- I am so much better in a windstorm! My 'Viking' hair doesn't help matters. I'm drawn to Bohemian things but always want to look classy, and now I've realised I can simply put a soft lace blouse under a tweed blazer, and colourful scarves are my friend! Thanks so much for all the effort put into these videos, it's so helpful!
It took years to convince myself I am a flamboyant natural. And that is because I just don't like at all the style of FN as kibbe recommends. I like more of a classic style. However this is actually my type. Thank you Aly you are great. Also I think showing different types together in photos helps a lot. Like, I always perceive celebrities as being tall, so showing different types together really helps putting features into perspective.
Watching “Colors” and “Avoids” for the body types, followed by this one, I’m finally understanding I must be FN. 6’1” and willowy in my younger years, as a 5’ 10.5” and size 2X senior - where it’s hard to find tall and larger sizes - coupled with now silver-white hair (as make-up and resulting clothing colors all have changed), I’ve felt quite a bit lost, like being in a new, non-ending never-never land…. Thanks to your expert instruction and most kind help, though, now that I understand this, it’ll be on to hair and make-up videos to see if I can’t start to pull all of this together, again. Bless You! Thank you! I so needed this!
It's interesting that you consider Christy Turlington FN! Her frame is very narrow and delicate, but also naturally curvy and soft despite being thin. I always had her pinned as D or even SD, but I guess I see some FN in her too.
Thought I was a soft dramatic before and recently got re-typed as a flamboyant natural! Makes so much more sense and I'm so grateful. It's definitely hard to get good style tips as a tall, naturally muscular woman since most "style advice" definitely tells me to look overly feminine to "balance it out" but I end up just looking totally lost
That'd be awesome, I'm still a bit in doubt if I'm a SN or N! 94% sure, that I'm a SN as ALL the recommended lines and styles feel awesome to wear, good enough. 😊 Maybe I just want to hear Aly talk about us. 💓
I always heard that most supermodels are FN and thought that I wasn't pretty enough to be a model and therefore couldn't be FN. Watching this video made me realize I couldn't be anything besides FN and I was just being self conscious before 💕
I think "soft Dramatics" are the most common archetype in the fashion industry; "flamboyant Naturals" would simply be the most common alternative to sD.
I am a FN or Dramatic but i absolutely despite wearing boho! I've always hated how FN only were portraited as the boho chic chick. Can someone please tell me how i can dress alternative (perky goth, trad goth) but still emphasize my FN side?
i have some thoughts, since i am also probably a FN but i don't like boho. think mini skirts with big sweaters or long kaftan-type jackets; leather pants with an oversized top; long, relaxed straight skirt (not a pencil!) with a distressed long sweater; 1920s style dress with dropped waist and long jacket; an asymmetric shirt over palazzo pants or wide jeans in a dark wash; long metallic or leather jacket with a loose slip dress; velvet in a loose style, like a jacket or dress with some fullness, could work for a goth style. mini skirts and textured stockings are recommended for us, just keep the outline relaxed. relaxed/open weave sweaters are great and fishnet might work so long as it doesn't look flimsy. belts around the hips can be great, too, so long as they're dramatic or unusual. i find that big chunky scarves or long scarves and shawls are good too; layers really work. big color blocked sweaters can also be good and don't look boho
Perky I think Is more difficult, but FN or D should look great with Trad Goth style! Black is considered a dramatic color and monochromatic looks look amazing with Ds! FN fit best with more loose clothing, which is pretty common in the trad goth style (at least when i see photos of goths in the 80s, it’s pretty common). I think this video might help you: th-cam.com/video/qp0O0FvaZOc/w-d-xo.html This girl is FN and I think her video make it really easy to see the overall “lines” and “shapes” recommended to each type!
These videos are so helpful, your video on Audrey Hepburn helped my sister discover she was Flamboyant Gamine and it’s been revolutionary for her! Keep up the good work!
I find it hard to feel feminine as a FN, also i don't know what to do with my straight thin hair, which doesn't hold any styling and is not complimenting my wide frame..
I thought maybe I was an FN after that video but I’m back to being certain I’m an SD. When you were talking about heavy or bulky fabrics I was like yep def SD. There’s been cute outfits I’d see on other body types, I buy the same thing and hate it bc I look boxy or shapeless. Sophia Vergara has been my low key fashion inspiration. Great vid Aly! 💐
I’m still not sure, perhaps because I find it really difficult to be objective about my body. I’ve been overweight for a while now and.... it’s hard to accept that me. I started this journey thinking I’m a classic but with your guidance I realised in sharper so naturally moved to dramatic classic, from there to dramatic as some people told me I remind them of two woman who are verified dramatics. Then I thought I’m a soft dramatic as have some curves. I then realised I’ve got stronger frame so must be flamboyant natural as wider than dramatics. Based on height (172cm) I really just considered the last three though I don’t think I look great with such wild hair or loose clothes. I do look better with longer waste-line. And recently when I accepted I must be flamboyant natural who didn’t like her lines and wasn’t a pear shaped when overweight, I heard the soft natural description and thought that it’s probably it. But as you can see I’ve been pretty much on all bodies on the classic to dramatic end of the spectrum. If there is anything you can suggest to help I would be forever grateful. Thank you for all your videos, I’ve enjoyed them all and watched them multiple times. Xx
I identify myself as FN after a looong study about Aly’s videos and other youtubers. Let me tell you some tips: i think Dramatic is pretty esasy to identify. Even if FN are actually taller than dramatics, you usually perceive them tallers, and is because they’re more sharp, dry and the angles in the face features and body are very noticeable. I think the type that more confuses with FN it’s SD, specially when you try to do it with somebody over their weight, even though with examples as Sofia Vergara and Sophia Loren you start to seethe differences. I think specially with facial features, SD has very open mouth and eyes, and off course in body they have more flesh covering their bones, but in a way that their differences between bust, waist and hips are very noticeable, and thats the greaaat difference with FN. Sometimes people use to refuse to identify as FN bc everybody always talk about the top models that, for sure, are FN, but it’s not difficult to fit in this category. Actually I think is more common that people think, just remember we the normal people dont have all the time and money to look like them 😬. But hey we can. How I figured out... well, even if Im a little overweight, people usually dont see that as my main characteristic, always perceive that Im very tall (and actually im 175), but my arms and legs look very very long and that contributes to that pereception, however my muscles around arms and legs are very noticeable, and then the face, I have very thin lips and blunt edges. So yeah, maybe I dont have the 180cm but I know I pm not so curvy as a SD
@@athinamariaverivakiscorone1789 thank you so much for your reply. It made me realise that when slightly overweight people also don’t notice that on me, actually I’ve had reaction of a surprise when I mentioned my size as apparently was expected to be able to fit a smaller size. Also I’ve had similar surprised reactions to my bra size though here people are usually excepting much smaller cup so I suppose I am not curve dominant despite the actual size. I am an hourglass though not prominent, my lips are medium on a fullness scale and have prominent cheekbones and jaw which look quite sharp when I’m thin but make my face look large when overweight. Limbs I think are quite proportional but my hands and feet are apparently quite small for my height and definitely wide, chubby looking even when I’m really thin. Right now, being on a very heavy side of the scale, I look quite squarish and stalky I’d say, and as in writing this I’m thinking I must be one of the naturals but I lean far more to elegant classic style and definitely look disheveled with a mane for a hair (which used to be pretty straight but a few years ago changed texture to curly/wavy). Thank you again for your reply, writing back is actually a helpful in realising things I hadn’t considered before. Take care
@@nununoona8969 thank you so much for saying that. I almost feel that when I’ve got it I discover or remember something that would exclude me from the type. But also simply am not sure on what differentiates SN and FN. is it the hair? If so that would make me a SN, but then again that feels close to SD which i almost feel is more elegant and that’s where I’d lean to when I’m thinking of looking presentable. Also it’s so difficult to tell what vibe I give off. I don’t think of myself as Diva but also relaxed clothes makes me feel like I’m having a pyjamas day. Funnily enough I can see clearly some of the types in my friends or colleagues and yet am clueless when it comes to myself. Perhaps they are more textbook examples... I’m not sure how much the styles that are stereotypical for a certain body matter and that almost adds to my confusion also as the natural/bohemian vibe isn’t something I’d feel good/elegant/elevated in anywhere but on holiday. This might be just another factor that skews my objectivity. Well I shall carry on studying everything that is available and perhaps one day I will have a lightbulb moment.
I've been stuck between SD and FN for a long time. But since I can get away with flowy looks without waist emphasis, I'm pretty sure I'm FN, Having a very soft round face in my youth added to the confusion. But overall it's the extremes in how I look that landed me in FN - very curly hair, very round and very wide face, very long legs and not much of a waist. I also get muscles pretty fast when I workout
I consider myself a FN but the bust part, no. I've always been slightly top heavy. I guess you have to get the overall profile and not focus on just one as you've said.
I knew I was somewhere on the natural spectrum but now I‘m very sure I am a FN. In photos I always look like I‘m towering above everyone else even though I am „only“ 1,71m. People always think I must be 1,75m or something like that and are then surprised by my actual height. Also Jane Birkin‘s style really works for me. Whenever I am too dressed up it just doesn’t work...
Can you talk about what to if your face doesnt match your body Ex: body is dramatic and face is natural. Do you dress in dramatic clothes and have hair as natural or have both your clothes and hair as dramatic?
I have this same issue, I'm pretty convinced that I have SD face with FN body. I saw some Kibbe stylist saying that your face is obviously the thing people see first about you so you should rather dress for your face.
I’m a FN but I love to wear crop tops and bigger pants. I have broad shoulders and bigger hips/butt. I have a athletic hourglass figure so I always want to bring that out with waist enhancement. I don’t think I dress like I should 😅
That's me too. I'm a tall, athletic, hourglass. Someone once described me as half track star and half porn star. lol I NEED waist emphasis. I don't buy into this typing system bc it doesn't explain everyone. Like Rihanna is 5'9" and she's romantic?
I thought that I was a dramatic but the clothes felt a bit sharp for me. Once I figured out I was a FN I realized that I needed the more “ free” aspect to my clothes and hair. It all makes sense.
Aly, may I ask, it confused me long long time. You said that classic can't be tall. Even dramatic classic. But you compared here Rosamund Pike as classic with someone else FN (9:00). I am almost sure she is dramatic classic even she is very tall. Are you really sure that dramatic classic can't be also tall? Not very tall like 185 cm but nomally tall like 174 to 178 cm? I know how she look, I met her, she lives in CZ, she is tall but being tall is not her vibe. And next is model with 175 cm "dramatic classic". But in your previous video you said that all women taller than 172 cm must be dramatic, soft dramatic or flamboyant natural. So...?
Good comparison! First I thought I was a FN bc of relatively large bust and shoulders, but was puzzled that the lines don't fit well and I don't look like the FN ladies. They somehow look bigger bc of larger bones. Then, in the process, I decided to think more about my bones -that are really thin, long and sharp. That is the D skeleton, and those are the fitting lines for me. At the start, I focused too much on the details of the questionnaire, as bust and shoulders, and so do many others, I've noticed. Hope this helps somebody.
I first thought that i was a soft dramatic, because I have always some flesh on my upper arms no matter howe thin i am in general. But recently i realised that Flamboyant Natural fits me better. I'm somehow still a little bit unsure if i typte me right. But this video helped me a lot! Thanks you!
Came here to se the difference between SD and FN. Now sure I'm a SD. I'm 1,80 m tall, have an oval face and curves - being more wide at the hips. I also thought I was classic, but my body look more like a mix of Sofia Vergara and Christina Hendricks (been conpared to her from time to time - the red hair is there as well 😅)
Aly hi! Love your videos... I'm a little confused as to Eva Mendez you're featuring here as FN.. I thought she was an SD? Again, love your vids and never miss one! 🥰🥰
Got down that kibbi rabbit hole and now i know that the best stuff that fits me is what i hate all the stuff i love is for others body types. Was always conscious of my wide shoulders and masculine look 😢 i wish i was romantic
Amazing 👏 vid (as always), sweet Aly! You are so professional and honest. I just love your content, girl!!! Always SUPER helpful & love to hear your insights! 💞💞💞
5:27 Did you accidentally switch the labels for Jessica Biel and Anne Hathaway? I thought JB would be more FN and AH would be SD? Thanks for another great video!
Good question... I think Anne is maybe Natural but not statuesque enough to be FN. As to Jessica, she's quite Dramatic but looks on the wider side so I thought FN for her.
12:37 Naturals range from 5'4" to a half-inch above 5'8", whereas "flamboyant Naturals" rarely fall short of 5'7" and can easily reach (or even exceed) 6'.
That reminds me: you forgot to mention that standard Dramatics tend to be a bit shorter than "flamboyant Naturals"; the former often fall short of 5'10, whereas the latter gravitate towards 5'10" and 5'11".
I'm 5'4 (162 cm) and i don't know if i'm natural or soft natural. I have broad, square shoulders, hips slightly smaller than my shoulders. Definetly gain weight around the waist. As far as i can remember i've never been dry. My arms are the fleshiest part of my body (even when i work out) and i have a generous bust. But i'm sure i'm in the natural family. Thank you Aly for the content. This is by far one of the most positive community on TH-cam 🤗
I'm quite certain I'm SD and my good friend is FN after this video. We're both quite tall (I'm 5'9" and she's 5'11") and a bit curvy so we might get mixed. However, especially looking at Cameron Diaz and Rachel Weiss, I have even more confidence (though of course we should not use celebrities as an end-all-be-all). It's such a clear difference. Thank you!
Popular vote has me as FN, but I've always felt I look bulky and weird in big shapeless garments. I've been thinking SD for a while, but starting to wonder if it's possible I'm just a fat Dramatic? A few of them have curves too - look at Jamie Lee Curtis after she stopped starving herself?
I LOVE your content, you make it so easy to learn about body type :D but, still i don't understand why some women like Nicole Kidman are Flamboyant natural and not Dramatic ?
I'm really not sure where I fall! I am 5'8" with a muscular lower body-- somewhat broad bones, but a tiny waist and no bust. My shoulders are somewhat broad and blunt and balanced with my hips. My face is long, thin, and my jawline is long, narrow and rounded, not blunt, my nose is prominent and long, lips are thinner, and eyes are almond shaped and smaller. I feel like I'm a mix of D and FN maybe?
Me too I thought I was a dramatic classic but again i tried again, we’re similar and I think if you try something that is for dramatics or classic you can pull it off.
Try observing ur bone structure and proportions. If ur a natural, then u would have wide shoulders, rib cage, big hands and feet, moderately long legs and arms, widely spaced eyes, wide cheekbones with flat and taut cheeks, wide nose with thin lips. If ur a SOFT natural, then u would still have a squarish figure with some flesh and also maybe full lips and cheeks. If ur a romantic, then u might have a lush hourglass figure. Ur bone structure will be delicate and small but slightly wide. Facial features : big round eyes, softly wide nose, full lips, round cheekbones and flesh. U only have to fit the most features not necessarily all. Hope this helps.
@@um4883 I think I know which one I lean too ... Would you take the time to see other people's kibbe bidy type? I would love to get different perspectives .....
@@um4883 I am not 100% sure that is why I am trying to get different opinions ... Also, it seems not all naturals have the stereotypical wide shoulders and wide set eyes .....
@@Iden_Elihio_1999 yes ik not all naturals have wide set eyes and wide shoulders that's why I mentioned that u don't necessarily have to have all the features. If ur not sure just take a photo of yourself and observe ur propotions and bone structure . Ignore ur actual height and try to tell how tall u look. Do u look wide blunt and muscular or delicate lush and round. Observe ur body shape, if u have a rectangle figure with some flesh or just an hour glass.
Any short FN here? I felt like I don’t even know how to dress my body ever since I started weight lifting. My head and body look more disproportionate than ever😂.
BrightBlue 👋 fellow Short FN. Do u happened to have any tips ? I’ve been wearing oversized tees and leggings and called it a day. I feel like nothing really look good on me.( since I’ve gain weight and start lifting).
@@alixh134 👋 hmm, well since you actually work out, unlike myself 😩 . . . what are the things you dislike about your figure, or how clothes look on you? for me I have a more inverted triangle figure (broader shoulders, narrow hips) which I'm really self-conscious about. wearing clothing that emphasizes my smaller waist and deflects away from my shoulders and lacks of hips tends to be helpful. if I was actually consistent with exercise and toning, I would incorporate exercises that tone and build up my hips a bit. not saying that I want to be super hippy, but just to make myself look and feel more feminine. not sure if you have the same issues, and I know body types isn't necessarily about shapes, but let me know if you have the same or different issues.
BrightBlue Hi, Thanks for the tip. I’ll definitely experiment with that. I completely relate to ur struggles. I would say working out really did help with my hips . That’s actually why I started excising. I think we have similar body (shapes) . But except my (high)hip bones are also wide and straight. Maybe I need to recycle my wardrobe so I won’t felt like a potato sack😂 My struggles is my shoulder and hip bones are scientifically wider compared to my height. So most of the time I just end up buying men’s clothing. Sometimes i do want to dress more feminine but end up very insecure. I’m am currently experimenting with different cuts/lengths . But I would add finding kibbe did help me significantly. And I do feel more comfortable knowing we all have our unique beauty. I find relax flowing long dress look good on me. (But not soft fabric ). I nw do know what fabric looks good on me. I’m am still learning.
I've been typed as a petite FN at 5'3" tall. I'm wondering if all the same rules apply or if there's some other kind of help I can draw from for styling?
Can you do a video about the body types of the euphoria show (especially alexa demi, she is gorgeous and flamboyant gamine I think) I love your videos ♥
I am not so wide, only on the rib cage and shoulders. I am elongated, thin and muscular, but I am not so tall as FN are usually portrayed, I am 5'7". do you think I could be a FN? It's the one I most relate to.
I thought this whole time I was a soft natural. I’m 5’7 but I think I look more elongated I have long arms and legs and big hands and feet. I’m starting to think this is actually my type. And I’m definitely frame dominant when looking at Jennifer Lawrence next to Amy shumer and I think I might be more elongated than any ! I also discover other soft naturals like Chrissy teagan and Scarlett johanson
i'm a light spring so i feel you about the difficulty of matching our colors with our preferred styles! your palette looks right on you, though, so wear complimentary colors (your red with your green, slate blue with burnt orange, etc) or mix the lightest and darkest of your colors, and it will still have that contrast a bright winter would have mixing her colors. soft autumn colors are all soft, too, but you have a lot of pretty light colors and can go pretty dark, so take advantage of that! my mom is also a soft autumn and has had great luck finding kaftans and boho clothes in her colors--the fashion world often likes making natural clothes in autumn colors, so have fun with it and good luck!
I identify most with the characteristics of soft natural but I'm 67.5 inches so apparently can't be SN. But none of the yang types fit me. So frustrating.
I’m as confused as ever 😢 your video is great! I just don’t seem to fit in any type. I though I fit FN except that I’m 5’3” and can’t say I have the elongated look (although people tend to think I’m taller than I am). I have a very short torso and angular, sharp facial features. I’d say I’m frame dominant and very broad. I really would like to be able to dress for my type but I’m about to give up on the Kibbe system bc it’s confusing me and getting frustrating.
I was leaning towards FN previously now, I have no idea. Lol Im 5'9" slightly wider shoulders than hips, defined waist but nothing like Marilyn or Selma Hayek. I have long legs but i think my torso is proportionately quite long from waist to hip. Waist to rib is close. Ribs are wider, proportionately. I build muscle very easily but i look soft, even when very thin. Breasts are also proportionately larger than average regardless of my weight. Wider hands. Feet are average width. Any thoughts, anyone??
I think facial features doesnt matter that much in the kibbe's system like the body features (especially body lines) do :) So I also think you can be a fn if the rest matches
@@AlexisJohnson223 nope, you can be this height and be FN. I am. Watch Aly's video about height and body types. Yes, FN tend to be taller, but that is not always the case. Aly even points out in the height video that Sarah Jessica Parker is a FN and she is super short. you can be short and still look elongated. I'm the same height and have long arms, long torso, legs and broad shoulders.
For the kibbe types there is an upper height limit but no lower limit. You can be smaller but still have an elongated line. But you can’t (or it is very rare) be taller than the upper height limit.
Wow! Aly, thanks so much! I'm 1,58 and think I am a soft natural. So I can't wait to see your Soft Natural VS other "Body Types" Video :) Would love to meet you in real live or get a 1:1 consultation/analysis one day!
I can't decide if I'm FN or DC. According to the test I am DC, but I think I am not that symmetrical... There is quite a difference in style (wardrobe and hair) between these two, and I am still not sure which is more appropriate for me. Anybody has any advice?

The Kibbe system has helped me understand and appreciate my 5'10" FN frame - and myself.
Me too!
Me too! I am 185 cm and I felt soooo huge! And wide! Like a cupboard but with super long legs and arms 😄 I am not overweight but this wideness always made me feel almost manly...I am so thankful for these videos.. going to change my wardrobe dramatically
I relate to this so much!! I’ve always felt big in relation to all of my female friends, even when not overweight!
SAMEEE I thought I was an FG for TWOOO YEARSSSS it was TERRIBLE but now I appreciate my "amazon woman"/blunt faced model look :)
@@CathDaddy SAME it used to be embarrassing that all my friends were, in every way, smaller than mr

Being a flamboyant natural is great, I get away with dressing both casual and subtly formal.
@@barrybarrington7398 It's not a manly-versus-womanly dichotomy; it's a matter of more "girly" versus less "girly".
@@barrybarrington7398 In other words, it's a matter of *stereotypical* feminity versus more alternative versions of femininity.
Yang is womanly. Fierce. Queenly. Regal. Strong. Sharp. Assertive. Powerful. Commanding.
I recently realised I am a flamboyant natural and everything makes so much more sense now! Thank you so much for your videos🌸

Have you tried looking at pure natural type? Similar to Jenifer Aniston body?
I can't find myself in any other the others.
ohhh yessss, my body type finally!! *grabs popcorn* 🍿 I'm sooo excited!! 😁
@@julieme7927 My waist is also about 11 Inches smaller but I settled on Flamboyant Natural cause the vibe seems to fit better.
I’m the same way. My measurements are hourglass but my shoulders are square shoulders . But I’m shorter I’m 5’8 1/2.
Yes! I waited so long for this 🥰
I've always felt like an awkward Amazon, even though I'm not tall.
No wonder Flamboyant Naturals were the first super models, they look different than everyone and even when they gain weight they look good.
Agreed, and I think she has a more SD face as well.
Please do Soft Natural!! :)
Yes, please
That'd be awesome, I'm still a bit in doubt if I'm a SN or N! 94% sure, that I'm a SN as ALL the recommended lines and styles feel awesome to wear, good enough. 😊 Maybe I just want to hear Aly talk about us. 💓
Aly I love your videos about Kibbe’s profiles, especially those regarding Flamboyant Natural 🥰Thank you for being so helpful xxx
@@daniellevinson6975Nope. Most models are FNs.
@@emmamartin4045 Well, the most common archetype, anyway; sD are still easy enough to find.
I think this video might help you: th-cam.com/video/qp0O0FvaZOc/w-d-xo.html
This girl is FN and I think her video make it really easy to see the overall “lines” and “shapes” recommended to each type!
Please do flamboyant gamine next!!! :) Love this series
These videos are so helpful, your video on Audrey Hepburn helped my sister discover she was Flamboyant Gamine and it’s been revolutionary for her! Keep up the good work!
Omg I was just binge watching all your videos to get insights on FN ! And bam, it’s here in full 🥰
Just try every signature look of Dramatics and Natural I guess...which one suits you the best
I can relate to you so much as I am still confused between a soft dramatic ,soft natural and flamboyant natural
Omgg I hope the soft natural vs body types video comes soon!!!
Thanks do much, best description. Makes sense of why it's always been difficult to shop for clothes
I love how your outfit is resembling yin/yang energy 🤍🖤
I consider myself a FN but the bust part, no. I've always been slightly top heavy. I guess you have to get the overall profile and not focus on just one as you've said.
I really love your outfit, hair and make up today Aly - you've nailed it!!
Can you talk about what to if your face doesnt match your body
Ex: body is dramatic and face is natural.
3:45 - 3:50 Yep, I just KNEW "flamboyant Naturals" have an elongated version of the same type of bone structure as Naturals.
Definitely a FN,with a wide rib cage and long flat Fanny🤷🏻♀️🤣.Thank you Aly, such great content❗️👏👍
LONG FLAT FANNY??? LMAO BYE
I really enjoyed this video :) I would love to see more bipoc when it comes to these because it’s hard to tell what kibbe type we are
These videos are amazing! So helpful to pinpoint what to look for and what to avoid.
I also thought I was classic, but my body look more like a mix of Sofia Vergara and Christina Hendricks (been conpared to her from time to time - the red hair is there as well 😅)
Been waiting for this one! So excited when I saw it posted!

3:19 - 4:35 is one of the most important segments of this video.
Great Video! I wonder, why Heidi Klum is always typed as a SN. She is very tall, 176 cm and also looks FN, i think. Such cases are confusing 😅.
Cant wait to see SN vs SC
Very similar types, both are yin dominant, but SN is on the wider side, and SC is symmetrical.
@@peacefreedomandwealth yes I also see similarities between them, but some SC can look a bit wider also because of the soft flesh
I am not tall (my legs are actually kind of short compared to my torso), but everything else about this type seems to fit me, is that possible?
It is. I am actually only 5'3 but aall other aspects are completly FN, so I guess I am FN
I cant wait to se SN and TR ....
I am trying to determine which one I am .....
@@Iden_Elihio_1999 oh glad u are able to find urs btw I am a soft dramatic
@@um4883 I am not 100% sure that is why I am trying to get different opinions ...

I see Jessica Biel as a textbook FN 😯

At first I thought I was flamboyant classic but I know now that I’m flamboyant natural and it makes a lot more sense to me now
Any short FN here?

Similar here... I am FN 160/5'3. Broad sholders, narrow hips, long torso/short legs, short neck...
I actually like how I look when I excersize.

I think after this video and all these years not really sure which body type I am, I think I am Flamboyant Natural😕
I'm pretty sure I'm flamboyant natural. But what confuses me is that I'm 163cms (around 5'4") but I look super tall. Can a FN be that height?
I think it is possible. I am 160 and I have all characteristics of FN. Althoigh I am short and have short legs
6:23 that brought an end to my doubts. Thanks
Is Kaya Gerber FN too?
Flamboyant naturals need some contrast, but I also am a soft autumn, what do I do?
I'm also fn and soft autumn
i'm a light spring so i feel you about the difficulty of matching our colors with our preferred styles! your palette looks right on you, though, so wear complimentary colors (your red with your green, slate blue with burnt orange, etc) or mix the lightest and darkest of your colors, and it will still have that contrast a bright winter would have mixing her colors. soft autumn colors are all soft, too, but you have a lot of pretty light colors and can go pretty dark, so take advantage of that! my mom is also a soft autumn and has had great luck finding kaftans and boho clothes in her colors--the fashion world often likes making natural clothes in autumn colors, so have fun with it and good luck!
I feel like Nicole Kidman is a dramatic as her frame lacks width - she looks very narrow and sharp to me
Soft dramatic represent 🥂😎
Can I still be a flamboyant natural if I have a large butt? Like I have narrow hips but my butt pops out
excited waiting for SG
I was leaning towards FN previously now, I have no idea. Lol Im 5'9" slightly wider shoulders than hips, defined waist but nothing like Marilyn or Selma Hayek. I have long legs but i think my torso is proportionately quite long from waist to hip. Waist to rib is close. Ribs are wider, proportionately. I build muscle very easily but i look soft, even when very thin. Breasts are also proportionately larger than average regardless of my weight. Wider hands. Feet are average width. Any thoughts, anyone??
So I'm learning that most FNs are tall. Does that mean that any tall girl over a certain height is a FN?
Not necessarily.
Your hair is looking extra pretty in this
Finally, now I think I know! It was really helpful, I've been waiting for a video like this, thank you so much
Hi, i think so.....
I think facial features doesnt matter that much in the kibbe's system like the body features (especially body lines) do :)
So I also think you can be a fn if the rest matches
Thank you guys! Wow, that's a great feeling to finally know your body type 😁
Aly pls come back to the old Hollywood Glamour series ❤️ brigitte bardot, marilyn monroe...
Brigitte Bardot⚘ Anita Ekberg,🌹 Catherine Deneuve. ⚘
What if my body looks like that, but I'm 5'5 tall ?
You’re probably just a natural
@@AlexisJohnson223 I'm very very thin, and have wilde shoulders and hips.
@@ducklingscap897 Yess same
I used to think I was a FN but I’m an underweight TR ☺️. I still love FN tho 😍
