I was thinking how well organized the electrical panel and water switch were, and the piles all had a purpose and in order of when they are to be used. Jim wants your studio to run smoothly and safely. He always has a look of adoration when you two are together in your videos. You both are blessed to have each other, truly.😊❤
Just wanted to tell you how much I love your new farmhouse. You are such a creative person. Your friend was smart to give the antiques to you to treasure and love. Young people today just do not appreciate our treasures. God bless you and Jim and Tilly. ❤
You both have come so far. I know you are thankful for all you have been given. Jim and others worked so very hard. You both have accomplished so very much in such short time. I am so very happy you are settled in your wonderful Farmhouse and I cannot wait to see the sewing/quilting studio.
Very nice. Glad you are getting settled after a traumatic fire and loss. Jim has done super rebuilding and everyone that has pitched in in so many ways. i.e., financial, construction, mentally, and caring people. The sewing studio is a blessing, act of love, and such a bonus. God bless everyone.
Thank you! I feel very blessed for all the good people in our life. It has been almost 6 months & we have came such a long way since that tragic day....some days are still hard for me as I struggle with my thoughts. Life is precious, I miss my pets but so very thankful for Tilly who makes me smile everyday. I look forward to creating & sharing my god given talents ❤️
I was so sad and heart broken that less than two months I click on your next video for me and find the horrible news of the fire. I just found you for my inspiration collection of channels. I’m so so happy to see how you and Jim and Tilly are making a new home for and with each other. I have watched all your videos and will continue to watch and I’m out here cheering your family on and can’t wait to see all your adventures in your new studio. I am a up cycler, I love to take my clients family treasured clothing and up cycle them into hugs ( quilts, teddy bears, or what ever they need) from those they lost, or a child off to college and turn past t-shirts into a dorm quilts. Just finished a couple of baby blankets for great grands that will never meet but get to hear and feel the love of those passed as their family shares stories. Along with a couple wall hanging with a fathers picture in the middle for brothers. Your videos show us of how we can morn the past but move forward and enjoy the gifts of the future. Thank you for your courage and channel.
Hello, Thank you for your love and support! I love that you put your heart into making memories for others! I love making memories for my family & friends too. It is a gift to be able to create and give to others. Yes, the past few months have been quite challenging but we must move forward. I have a sign on my wall that reads "Dear God, if today I lose my hope, please remind me that your plans are bigger than my dreams"
Your home is so lovely! You should be proud of what you have done! I thought you would have the tractors by the cow pictures. Lol. I just bought a cow quilt pattern. I have been collecting cow and farm fabric for that quilt. I love the blue Victorian chair! That is my taste. Your quilts in that area go well with that chair. Your quilting studio will be ready before you know it. I wish I had that kind of space, but then I would buy more fabric! I have enough fabric to have a store. I have made 10+ quilts (for gifts) this year, along with other items. I do use the fabric.
Thank you! I hope to get back to being a crazy quilter! I have made so many for gifts too. I can hardly wait for my new space so I can have a design wall 😊 and be able to see all the fabrics that I have. Everthing is packed in boxes except for a few things that I'm using right now. I really want to get started on a farm pattern that was sent to me as well as the Lori Holt quilted witch pattern. Actually I have quite a dew things I would like to get going on....It will be exciting😊
Oh Marnae, your home is absolutely gorgeous, very welcoming. You’ve done a great job!!! Omgosh, love all rooms You and Jim have each other The love you share shows in your home. God Bless, love sent to you both with Tilly also , love that guy.❤❤❤
Thank you! I have really tried & still trying to make this home feel like my farmhouse. We are very comfortable & Tilly loves it here. We really need to get him his own fenced in yard because he just loves being outside. He gets spicy with me when we have to go back inside 😁
I love your farmhouse ! I love that you shop at thrift stores, antique stores and estate sales. I enjoy that too. Cannot wait to visit your quilting studio! ❤
Thrift finds are the best! I would rather have something old than new. Everything has a story and they just don't make stuff like they use to. I love the charm of old stuff 😊❤️
I met you right after the fire. I was so sorry to see how devastated you were. I prayed you would find happiness once again. I am so happy to be along this new path with you. Jim is doing fabulous things with the "Ultimate Quilt Studio". Thank you for sharing the progress! I love your Farmhouse-ish. You deserve it and all the things you have found along the way. You and I decorate the same (except, I throw a little boho in the mix!) You find the best furnishing and item to decorate with. I am going to have to find some estate sales in the near future, so I can get some yummy things to display and use in my new mobile, after we move (again...two times in 7 months) I will for sure follow along in your journey! I think you and your husband are wonderful people!
Oh this home of yours is simply simply fabulous. The antique cabinet is so perfect. The things in it made me smile. But the victorian chair is just absolutely stunning. Im crazy about your home. And your ðonations make me believe in people again.
Thank you! I loved my farmhouse sewing room so much but this will be a greater space with lots of room. It will be better for friends to come in without having to climb stairs as well. I want it to be very welcoming to everyone 😊❤️
Oh Marnae, your hutch looks beautiful with all the antiques. Such wonderful finds at the sales. It was as if they were meant to be in your hutch. I love finding things at sales. Around here, and I'm sure where you're located, you can find some great antiques at yard sales and thrift shops. I decorated quite a bit of my house the same way as you did. Those items bring me comfort, as it does others. Some people like all new things, and they're pretty, but I'm not comforted by those type of surroundings.
Yes! you & me both. I pick up things that I love. I started collecting soon after the fire & just packed them away. It's quite amazing how it just came together. It took a few months to find a step back cupboard though. I wanted something like I had before but just didn't find one. This one that I got now was out of an old farmhouse as I was told. Its very heavy & it fits this smaller home well. I love the warm feel of old things in my home. It just feels cozy to me.
Thank you for the tour of your lovely new home, such pretty decor. I used to have a double wide and I absolutely loved it. I added a shower rod over my washer and dryer to have a hanging area for laundry drying or coats for visitors. You have come so far in such a short time, it 8s good to see your progress, we look forward to see more of your studio too. God Bless.
Absolutely lovely! The house looks so good. You have a designers eye. I can’t wait for the ultimate studio to be completed. I look forward to each video y’all do. God Bless you .
Thanks for this wonderful update. The studio is progressing very nicely. Your home looks amazing with all your new finds and gifted items. I'm so happy for you both. When you showed the closet in the bathroom it looked like you closed the door with Tilly still inside haha. Best wishes as always from across the pond 😍
Thank you! Tilly follows me everywhere...LOL! He got out ok. Sometimes he shoves his little ball under the door & then whines for me to open the door. Its like a secret room to him 😁
I love it all. You and Jim have done a wonderful job making your new home. Can’t wait to see the studio finished. Who needs a dining room when it can be a sewing room. Enjoy.
Thank you for the tour of your studio and your beautiful home. You have come a long way and I am so happy for you. Keep moving forward and you will get there. See ya soon in the next video, have a great day.
Hi there. Thanks for the update. I love how you have made your new home an beautiful place to dwell. I love the cupboard with the red plates in it. And truly, each room feels homey. All of your finds are just lovely. I lost my home in 2012 to a hurricane and I understand what it feels like to lose everything and move on. You have done a wonderful job of that. Thank you and Thank you for sharing a bit of your story. It is very tough losing all the things we have worked so hard for as well as what was near & dear to our hearts. It is a mental struggle at times. God bless you as well ❤️
Marnae, fantastic what you have accomplished. Looks like my house. A conglomeration of things that make you happy. One idea. In your MBR bathroom, replace your mirrors over your sinks with medicine cabinets that have a mirror facade. I have them in all my bathrooms. Easy to install and give you 4 more shelves to hold all your bathroom toiletries but are still a mirror. You have been so productive. Have a great summer. It is raining here in Boise, Idaho, too.
Oh my gosh, I had a dresser just like the one in your bedroom! The handles are the same as well. Your home tour is great. It's very comfortable, and everything has a meaning/purpose. ❤
Thank you! That lil juicer was found at an antique store that Erin & I had visited when we were headed to Virginia to pick up Tilly. I walked by it but went back to get it because I felt like it called me.... It was different.
It's really looking good. It's going to be a great place to create! Your video on Tilda Girls really inspired me to get mine started. I have 4 more girls to finish.
Love and appreciate you guys your such an inspiration..you don't give up you stuck it out through your tragedy and seem even stronger now 🙏🏼👍🏼😊Bless you all .and you are being truly blessed and a blessing to many as well as a inspiration 😊❤❤❤Love your videos ❤️
Thank you! Jim is just very smart. He is an eighteen year Air Force vet before I met him. He works for Carrols company. He started there as a service technician & is now a lead tech. I'm really not sure how he got to be so smart. He tells me that it's a blessing & a curse...LOL! The curse being that everyone we know seeks him out for help or advice. It's all good 😊 I feel blessed just to be his wife.
We never know what a day will bring but we can know that Jesus is with us and will work all things out, we just must trust Him. You have a lovely, sweet home that looks so comfortable. I had a laundry that opened to my kitchen like yours and I hung a pair of swinging half doors ( saloon type) there which gave a break and wasn’t a closed door, you might like that too. ❤
We are pretty sure it was an electrical fire. It started in our living room. My neighbor happened to be driving by & fire was out one window but quickly accelerated. She tried to save my pets but smoke was so thick. It was so awful....
Oh my, don't paint your rocking chair. It somehow loses it's antique quality, and comfort. I love wooden rocking chairs with a soft pillow for the seat and back. I also love it if they make a bit of a noise, not much, just enough. I've rocked many babies over the years, and my rocking chair is now a full fledged antique. Some of the babies I've rocked to sleep, rocked their babies to sleep in the same chair. ❤😊
I don't think that I will paint it either...but I may make a chair pad for it later on. Jim's daughter in law rocked her new baby in that chair the other night. It was heart warming to see ❤️ That is why I bought it.
@@marnaescountryfarmhouse I babysat half my town as a teen. I was busy every night. People discovered I could watch handicapped and terminally ill children. Oh my, we nearly needed a second phone line. I learned fairly young that I had fertility issues. So, I adored my babies. I helped out my oldest sister with her first baby. I had to teach them everything, including nursing suggestions. Odd, but they listened and learned. Years went by, I had gone through menopause at 26. I remarried, and my other sister had a baby. Same thing as the other sister. A few months passed and I had a horrible pain in my belly. I went to my OB/GYN. My appointment was taking forever. The nurse came in several times. The doctor came in several times. Then asked if anyone was with me. They got my not quite husband from the waiting room. My doctor sat down, the nurse next to me. He said "I'm so sorry, but you're pregnant". I was terrified. Before I was in menopause, he said it would be difficult to get pregnant, "but if I did, I would have a litter"! That's all that went through my head. My not quite husband is smiling like Neil Armstrong, walking on the moon. I had lost a baby but was still pregnant. I went in every day for 2+ weeks. I kept passing clot like things. They were more miscarriages, but still pregnant. I finally called my primary doctor crying, told him everything in 30 seconds. He said "you're what!" So, he called a different OB/GYN, explained everything. Put me back on my medication, and the miscarriages stopped. Altogether, there were at least 4 maybe 5, but with a lot of medical intervention, we had our one and only miracle baby. I delivered at 7 months. She was healthy, 3.5 pounds and 17". After 2 weeks, we brought home this tiny little girl. She's now a published author, photographer, and poet. She has 2 degrees and her Master's Degree in Fine Arts, graduating magna cum laude.

You’ve definitely tuned your house into a home! Great job! The sewing studio is looking great! 👏🏼👏🏼
Those mini split air conditioner/heaters are wonderful! I converted my garage for studio/office and the mini split works great.
Awesome! I haven't ever had a mini split before. I'm happy you love yours! 😊❤️

Thank you! ❤️
It's beautiful.
Thank you!❤️
We never know what a day will bring but we can know that Jesus is with us and will work all things out, we just must trust Him. You have a lovely, sweet home that looks so comfortable. I had a laundry that opened to my kitchen like yours and I hung a pair of swinging half doors ( saloon type) there which gave a break and wasn’t a closed door, you might like that too. ❤
Yes , well said ❤️
I absolutely love the idea of saloon type doors!! hmmm, I will have to ask my Jim Jim if he can do that 😁
Your house is beautiful
Thank you!!
Great job with the camera, Marnae! Very smooth and steady. Thank you for the update.
Thank you!! 😊
Does anyone know how the fire started?
We are pretty sure it was an electrical fire. It started in our living room. My neighbor happened to be driving by & fire was out one window but quickly accelerated. She tried to save my pets but smoke was so thick. It was so awful....
The new chapter in your life agrees with you
Thank you!!❤️
Oh my, don't paint your rocking chair.
