Your sewing room is so cute! You make such wonderful detailed things.Such a creative person! Thank your husband for patiently holding the camera! You are blessed! ❤
Love your sewing/washer room! I only have my bedroom to sew in, so it is much smaller than what you have to work with, but being organized is key. And my hall closet is loaded with sewing stuff! Been sewing for over 40 years and every time I move, I have less space to sew in... 😊
I can relate to losing space with every move! At least the dining table is just in the next room, when I need to cut, I have a folding cardboard cutting board. It would be great to have a proper cutting table again, and A couple of upgraded machines! Thanks for your comment, Jan!
Knicker Curtains! That's Hilarious! Thanks so much for Watching and commenting! I'm overdue for a video... but I'm going to get some new stuff up this week! The 9 days at the county fair wiped me out last month!
Thank you for sharing your cute sewing space, loved the bears and the aprons. I enjoyed seeing your patio with the ladder for the squirrels and sewing the cardinal! 😊
Wow what an amazing space!! It's beautiful & a dream space to work in. Newly subscribed & looking forward to seeing future videos. Your husband reminds me of my dad when he was still with us. If we asked for things, he always would build it for us.
Thank you! He is very helpful to me! I'm so glad I encouraged him to buy his table saw last year! I really appreciate you subscribing to my channel. I'll be checking yours out as well.
I Love Your curtains And the basket that holds your threads 👌.. Awesome idea. 😊 Thanks for Sharing 👍. I really love how you organized your notions. 🤗...Looking forward for more Great videos 💯🙂
Hi Crystal! Thanks so much! I do have 2 rooms in this house. There is also a 5 ft. hall closet that stores overflow sewing supplies and things on hangers. You may wish to view my most recent video...as I just rearranged the paper room again! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Hi Karen, I'm new to your TH-cam so I'm going to check if you've posted anything newer than this episode. I'm a precision sewer who focuses on tailoring and have been very active since 1967 in this endeavor. I have made a few wedding dresses along the way for family/friends but that wasn't as enjoyable to me as much as tailored garments. I recently (early last May) helped a close friend's daughter alter her wedding dress and design and sew her 3 daughter's bridesmaid-lined skirts in polyester chiffon as a wedding gift to her, It brought back why I don't enjoy this kind of sewing! Slip and slide fabric and hemming those skirts was so tedious....... was glad when I was done! Her wedding balloon-style skirt and sleeves purchased dress could've stood up by itself as it was so stiff from all the wedding dress construction. She needed that altered as the fitted bust was too big and the back also needed some work to be able to fit properly. I needed her to hold the skirt up while I sewed the new cinched-in seams then hand sewed in the lining which had to be ripped out to access the area to be sewed and of course the seams contained boning in the same area so they had to be repositioned🙄But it looked very nice when it was done and fit her like a glove, made her happy! I won't be doing that again in my lifetime- so stressful. I knit too and I was so glad to knit and decompress after that project was finished!!!!! I've got a beautiful tweed wool jacket I'm finishing up right now that will be ready for me to wear in the fall/winter. It would cost a small fortune if I bought something similar off the rack. I've always had Bernina sewing machines, I started out buying my 1st 830 in 1973! Used it for years and it never broke, just kept going like the ever-ready bunny! Very strong motor- I could even sew on multi layer canvas and leather. When I was young I learned from the Vogue Sewing Book on techniques. Then as I got older I gained access to other books and learned different techniques and enjoyed that journey. There is speed tailoring and traditional tailoring. For the sewist who has a secular career the speed style makes sense but if one has the luxury to take the time for more traditional sewing, the result is almost always superior. I could go on but I've already gone overboard. Loved your sewing space that you have created and organized, small does not have to be impossible, just logical and well thought out which you achieved. You should share some of your sewing experiences and pics if you have them and maybe what you think was your biggest challenging sewing project. What were some of the difficulties you got resolved? Take care, Carrie from Northern San Francisco Bay Area😘❤🐕🐑☕🧵🪡🧶
Hi Carrie, I was typing a lengthy reply, and it disappeared! I am sewing for the fair right now. I do hope to make some accessories from a bix of wool yardage! I do enjoy reading your lengthy messages, but can't reply to all! I'm from San Diego , and lived in S.F. from 1994 to 2004. We've been in N.Carolina 7 years. We can talk more later! Look for my email address in the description box!❤
I loved the tour. You have a cozy and warm-feeling crafting area. It's nice to have a husband who supports and helps you when you need something built or adjusted. I know I rely on my husband all the time and he's my best critiquer as well. If I ever get my area organized, I plan to give a little tour of my space. It's not large but we moved into our home last July and I just haven't gotten everything in a dedicated space yet. Thank you for spending some time with me on my channel. I always look forward to you sweet comments.
when I saw your Belvedere Adler Sewing Machine it almost made me gasp lol - I had two of them but had to downsize to the nth degree so they went to the Goodwill - I miss those machines - the very very best zigzag sewing machines I ever had
Thanks for your comment! I found that on Facebook Marketplace. I only paid $25.00 for it. The plug cord needed to be replaced . I now have my Mother's Necchi in that cabinet and am keeping the Belvedere Adler for the buttonhole functionality. It sews beautifully!
Thank you for sharing your creative space. I especially like your curtains! I am a fond patron of screened porches, also. You have so many beautiful things. ❤😊
Nice tour thank you I wish I could remember what those curtains are called there gorgeous compact sewing area but loaded wow again thank you!!!God Bless ❤❤❤
I love how you have utilized the space you have. Very nice! Thank you for the idea of a file folder idea for patterns! I have a file folder box similar to yours that we don’t use anymore. I also have several pdf patterns and quilt patterns that I need a designated space for. I am going to add it to my sewing room.
My daughter bought a batch of those, plus the mini rug mats in Bahrain over 20 years ago. She was in the U.S. Navy. They were showroom samples. Thanks for mentioning it!
Hi neighbor, I live in Lexington. Great sewing area. Love your little porch It's nice to watch all the birds. And squirrels. ❤ Alterations would be helpful.
Thank you for sharinyg your sewing room and screened in porch. You have a lovely calming voice and I enjoyed hearing all about each area of you room. I think that your stairs for the squirrels is a sweet idea especially the feeding trays at the bottom of their stairs. That Mama Cardinal was a treat to see because we don't have cardinals here on the west coast where I live. When I lived on the east coast area I used to see Cardinals and Baltimore Orioles two of my favorite birds. They are so colorful. I am wondering why you made the felt Hebrew letters? Was it to teach kids Hebrew? Wishing you well and thanks again for your delightful video.
Hi! Thanks so much for your message! I am married to a Messianic Jewish Rabbi. I was planning on making a lettering chart , but I don't have any kids around here. I'm from Southern California myself, and we really love it here in N. Carolina. There are about 20 species of birds that come to our yard! I made the squirrel feeding station to help ration how many peanuts they get. I had to put a squirrel baffle on the post feeder, so I gave them their own place. The funny thing is, the Bluejays take them from the fence! So do the starlings! But at least everyone is getting their share! I don't know what to call the curtains. I have been busy sewing for the Fall Fair, and amnoverdue for a video. I'll do an updated tour and share some items made for the fair. Please keep in touch! Karen
You have a beautiful little space, love your curtains. You were very creative in your space , your colors are warm. I’m a NC girl too. Thanks for sharing 😊
@@Costachel77 I am doing fantastic, hope you are as well. Your video has inspired me to be more creative in my small space because I share my space with a chest type freezer that I use as my cutting table. So glad your video popped up on my feed ( definitely have me as a new sub.
It was lovely to have a tour of your sewing space! You have been very creative in creating so much storage in a small space! It is inspiring as I only have a small space to sew in as well. It seems that both you and your husband are multi talented people so I'm looking forward to seeing the various projects that you have done. Alterations to existing garments that have been bought from thrift shops would be helpful.
Thank you, Kerrie! I've had many tiny sewing spaces over the years, and a few larger ones. I really wish I could have everything in one room! I'll be going to Phoenix for 3 weeks tomorrow. I'm hoping to document the process of making my Mom's house safer for her, as she's losing her vision. Stay with me! I have been working on upgrading my computer for the videos! Have a great day, Karen. If you have any specific questions about a project, feel free to email photos at karenleannecreates@gmail.com I will try to help you out!

Hi Karen, what a wonderful Ewing room, and a very comfortable, homey place. Love your use of space and storage. The little bears are my favorite of what you showed us, the sciccors holders are very nice. Actually I loved everything about your sewing room, new subscriber. I do crafts with my sewing, prefer smaller projects. I made a few quilts years ago, and got through it but really prefer small stuff, kinda in the shabby chic style.❤ Shirley
hello ok thank you very much please kindly film how to thread the vintage singer sewing machine and how to wind the bobbin when you get a chance please ok?thank you very much 😊
Hi! I have 2 vintage machines plus a 5 thread industrial overlock. I saw you asked about the thread path on the Singer. If you really want to know about this machine, it's a Singer Stylist model 457 . It was produced in 1967-68 . I happen to have a stand- alone spool holder behind the machine, that I can move to another area anytime. There is a UTUBE channel called AndyTube. He is my go to for anything regarding the mechanical issues. Check him out! This is a very simple machine, the bobbin winder has a sliding button to engage. Thanks for your reply!
