Looks like Arctic improved the contact frame for the LGA1700. Nice job Arctic. Looks like a very nice kewler as Bob would say. 😄 Thanks for sharing Mike and Lady Kath. Take care all. Cheers
I love how the fans snap in so easily and once again Mike the ARGB is amazing! I might get this for my sons rig. Price isn't too bad either! Thanks Mike!
@@mikesunboxing Like so many other components. The white one you installed is C$105 which is C$28 more than the black one. Sadly, m.2 drives are going up too! Oh, well, looks like I'm stuck with my old SSDs for now.
Interesting that the socket frame is removed from around cpu, is that same for AM4? Like the colour, easy fit fan and straight forward attachment. Thanks for reviewing Mike and Kath 🐈👍
Cheers, all makes sense now, I tried getting the instructions from the 3d barcode on the packet but it looks like the hadnt renewed the URL so the link didnt work.
Hi! Currently looking into this to replace my stock Intel CPU fan. Would you be able to put RAM sticks on all the slots with the two fans installed? Planning to install this fan on an MSI B760 Tomahawk. Thanks!
@@mikesunboxing The instructions for outside of the case say "To support the socket backplate, place it on a flat, horizontal surface, like a thick padding (e.g., the packaging inner card)" and for inside the case: "Apply painter’s tape on the backside of the motherboard to secure the socket backplate. Lay the PC case flat on a horizontal surface."

this is probably the best cooler that Arctic have made so far
This is brilliant. I wish I had learned about this cooler before I bought mine.
It is a good cooler but prices seem to be slowly rising

no the AM4 and AM5 mounting used the stock backplate to attach to. It seems that the performance of the cooler seems to favour the smaller AMD package

glad it helped

Hello! What is the length of the Argb cable (in cm)? It looks a little short.
not sure exactly and i don't have them here now but yes they are a little shorter than most
Arctic's manual says to put a piece of foam under the motherboard when installing the contact frame but you didn't do that. Is it not necessary?
the foam is to support the backplate if the motherboard is in a case

Please tell me. Is it possible to mount it vertically?
I want that the air to goes from below to up (to the top of the case).
no sorry
@@mikesunboxing Thank you! You're amazing.
If I had a budget cpu, I would 100% buy this cooler
it works pretty well up to the mid chips for sure, and i guarantee someone with a 7800x3d will use one
