Welcome to my tutorial video on the 2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime XSE!
Since 2021, the RAV4 Prime upped the ante by bringing the Plug-in option to the table in the hybrid world. With the Prime, you benefit from having a hybrid that charges itself AND a plug-in electric car that doesn’t use fuel at all! Thus, the acronym PHEV has been coined, for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle.
This super efficient SUV doesn’t sacrifice sportiness though. As you will see in the review (linked below) video of this car, the XSE offers upgraded 19” wheels, a sport tuned suspension, and aggressive piano black all around the body to add that wicked touch.
You can enjoy the stylish Softex seats while driving through an electric range of 42 miles and EV power of up to 84mph. Yes, that all without using any fuel! But if you choose NOT to plug it in, that’s fine, as it will function as a regular hybrid and give you 38mpg. The RAV4 Prime takes the guess work out of fuel savings.
👉The RAV4 Prime is still a Toyota. Simplicity, durability and reliability are baked into its DNA. However, like all new Toyotas, it has a lot of buttons. So let’s go over them all together.

So well done. I have a 2023 and love it. With regard to the center console buttons, pushing and holding the charging button on the right automatically charges the battery as I drive.
