Fun fact: all the demons of the crowd were wearing merchandise with the “$”symbol or the “M” of Mammon, but the mute kid is the only one wearing a shirt with Fizzarolli’s face on it.
    I love those little details

I can imagine that after the kid lost his horns he probably felt broken and may not have known what the future had in store for him. Then he saw Fizz being so popular with his prosthetic arms and broken horns and felt inspired by him. Then his hero actually acknowledged and respected him! Good on them both!

So, each of the Sins has had a song that perfectly exemplifies them, Asmodeus has "House of Asmodeus," Beelzebub has "Cotton Candy," but I feel like, even though Mammon didn't sing it, this is his perfect song. It perfectly describes the kind of character he is and the sin he represents, even through the eyes of another.

Makes sense, Mammon is characterised as a lazy shit who exploits other people to do the work for him.

I love that the crowd seems to think it's a general song about hating work that's meant to appeal to the crowd and make them feel seen, so the parts where Fizz just goes directly for the goddamn jugular and gets very personal by singling out his boss just take them off guard. Like, it just clicks in their head "Oh fuck this isn't a bit, he is incinerating the bridge."

A lot of cops like songs such as “Killing in the Name” or “Sound of Da Police”, which are very anti-police.
A lot of right-wingers also like bands like Rage Against the Machine and System of a Down, which are both explicitly very left-wing.

I can see so many people playing this song as they walk out on abusive employers! Because here's the thing, in most places (at least in the USA) the employee is expected to give a two-weeks notice to "give the employer time to find a replacement" but they can fire an employee with little to no notice. If you don't get a two-weeks notice to find another job, the employer doesn't deserve a two-weeks notice to replace you.

    • @Tank50us
      @Tank50us ปีที่แล้ว +31

Admittedly, it does hurt the other guys/gals working at that place as they now have to pick up the slack. But I do agree that if they aren't allowed to give us time to find a new job, they shouldn't get a two-weeks notice from us. That said, I think there are situations where insta-gone is viable... like if the person is a complete asshole to the other staff and customers, or if people are feeling like that person is a danger to them (not necessarily MCE levels, but how many women feel like a guy might try having his way with them if they ever find themselves alone with the guy?). But these of course are the more extreme examples.
Someone in my position last year (December 2022), having a loud discussion about safety on the job didn't warrant an instant firing. If nothing else it warranted a transfer or for someone at the main office to ask the question of where to put me where _I'd_ be the most comfortable and productive (I work in security)

This song resonates with me because one of my managers is an ABSOLUTE POS, like actually wanted me to be held just as accountable for another person’s screw up in the same position when we aren’t even on the clock at the same time

I don’t know if someone already said it, but a detail I love about this scene is that the sigil in the background changes from mammon to asmodeus briefly before changing back to mammon’s. He’s insulting mammon, then talking about his change with asmodeus, then back to feeding mammon his own shit

I absolutely love how mammon was vibing for all of it, even after knowing it was about him, until Fizz called him out by name. He was instantly pissed and thr crowd instantly stopped crying and flinched. Obviously everyone knew who it was about, but they could pretend they didn't until he was called out by name!!
Also, side note. I like to personally believe that he added writing to his performance so that the child knew what was going on.

This performance made me cry. We haven't known Fizz for very long, and we didn't see this abuse go on for long, but after the last two episodes, I'm so fucking proud of him for making this move. The team did a great job making us feel the years of abuse in just a single episode, and to see him gather the courage to quit and tell Mammon exactly how he feels is so inspiring!

I think, genuinely, that Fizz wouldn't have been able to do this without the conversation where he and Blitz worked out the first three steps of the long years of pain between them. Part of this story's throughline seems to be about people trapped in their own lives finding their agency and their own way out.

He only cares about the money. He's like Vince McMahon in a way: willing to humiliate himself for his buisness which, in it's own way, is quite admirable. But it's clear from the context that it's just supposed to show how greedy Mammon is.

Something I don't see many people mentioning is that the coffin bit at 2:23 serves as a reference to Alex Brightman! He played Beetlejuice in the original Broadway musical and he performed a song called 'The Whole Being Dead Thing' at the Tony's (I'm not sure which year). In the song choreo, when obscured by ensemble, he lays in the coffin center stage and it rises while he's kicking his feet.

They didn’t deserve the entertainment, effort, reference, musical talent, or reason to call the police on me. I simply sang, “Eileen, you sad sack of shit, FUCK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU” then calmly finished with a simple, “Whore” then I walked. That last insult hit them hard apparently but I don’t give a flying fuck
Don’t let any manager or shitty boss ruin your mental health or push you to do something stupid. There are always better jobs out there and it never ends well for people who abuse their positions because they peaked in high school or were raised poorly by shitty parents. Forget those idiots and live a better life as the ultimate revenge

The two robots/girls beside Mammon look so happy that Fizz has finally broken free of Mammon's influence. They look almost PROUD. The curve of the one on the left's smile indicates pride, like she's happy that Fizz has finally figured out what he wants. i wonder if they know him on a personal level, or if they've possibly performed together at one point.
