I think it could have been communicated a lot more clearly than how it was delivered, though. The problem comes from the fact that they establish that the song *is* diagetic at the start, but then switches to non-diagetic soliloquy on the fly, only to go back to being diagetic again, not helped by the galaxy background switching back to the courtroom partway through the last of Stolas' segment, albeit with a shifted colour scheme. I hope in the final episode of season 2: Sinsmas Satan will find out he was tricked by Stella, Striker, and Andrealphus he would give Stolas back his powers and punish them
He probably did that as a facade since he is a Goetic prince. Stolas was supposed to be the villain in this episode but i think he's acting like this because of what Blitz had thought of him as in the Full Moon episode "A pompous rich asshole." Until the next part where he says he's the mastermind.

Really like the detail of Leviathan having two heads. Considering the fact that envy is literally a feud or spiteful jealousy between two individuals it makes perfect sense. Also Belphegor not caring about anything and just wanting to sleep was pure genius. 😂
There are also two ways of feeling envy, one is were you will become bitter and hatefull to that person and the other is that you will try harder to be like that person.
I like how Ozzie and Bee and looking back at the Throne for Lucifer Moringstar, and they just seem so annoyed/disappointed that Lucifer just never seems to be there, indicated by the cobwebs, at the very least. It's as though they are thinking, 'if Morningstar would show up at some point, we might get some serious issues/problems worked out here. We'd support him; he knows this. We have certain perspectives regarding some matters, but why is he never here?'
I much prefer yours and yeah makes great sense and I had the similar feel as you did, it does feel like they are pissed as the king is never there to fix shit lol
The irony of Satan claiming to be the mastermind and the big ruler of Hell when A) Hes being manipulated by Andrealphus and tricked by Stolas. B) It was confirmed that he did in fact NOT rule Hell prior to Lucifer, and is using the absence of Lucifer to make himself look more powerful. C) Visually, he sits BELOW the rest of the sins, even if he really is the supposed "lawbringer" of them, he sits in the front row, while the other sins sit above him, and Lucifer (the ACTUAL king of hell) sits above THEM.
thats true, however one thing to be remembered is that when he sings " I am the law" other sins confirm it, and no one questions it. Even when bee and Ozz see that he is bullshitting abt him being the original lord, they only look at each other but dont say anything. What i am trying to say is that even if he lies a lot, one thing he says is true, that he is above all of the demons in that hall
@serdusrex7274 I think it's more out of fear than anything. Ozzie and Bee clearly don't like how he's lying through his teeth, but he's above both of them in power and rank, so they can't really do anything about it.

2:04 on blitzos “WHAT ARE YOU DOING I DONT DESERVE THIS!!” I almost cried that was PERFECT. The emotion.. the pitch.. the tone.. PERFECTION. We need Brandon to sing more, and I’ve never even came close to crying on this show. Bravo Brandon. Bravo.
@@chloenieuwsma4846 about time too, Blitz admitting to it and Stolas not being an emotional coward about it and doing what Asmodeus did at Mammon's clown pageant
I like the fact Blitz was scared because he was a imp and no one actually loved him except his mother and Stolas only showed emotion through sexual pleasure but its all reversed after Apology Tour
I was going to quit Helluva Boss if Satan didn't sing, because seriously you couldn't just hire Patrick Page without him singing. This is definitely my favorite song of Helluva Boss now holy shit
No joke while Stolas was singing, and I absolutely love when Stolas sings, all I could think about was 'PLEASE let Satan have his verse and steal the show'
If I had a nickle for every time Patrick Page portrays a "lord of the underworld" having to deal with a lovesick singer causing a ruckus to have their darling spared... all the while having someone try to calm/reason with him... (while Stolas' BIL only wishes he could be Hermes, the /actually/ classy dude with feathers and blue colour scheme)
1:59 something I noticed here, when Stolas heard blitz say that he couldn’t live his life without him, Stolas became more willingly to give his life away after realizing blitz really does care for him, it made him more determined to give himself after being comforted in the knowledge that blitz feels the same way.
He’s so talented. I’m a huge Hunchback of Notre Dame fan and he’s so wonderful in it. I’ve also been obsessed lately with Hey Little Songbird from Hadestown
This is such a little moment but I love how Satan's "anger management guy" at 2:48 seems utterly delighted by his boss displaying his power in a CALM manner. Because let's face it, a figure who's able to demonstrate their might without all the cliche yelling and raining hellfire is far more intimidating and awe-inspiring.
im hoping those two and vassago question this further.....especially Ozzie because Fizz gets firsthand info. Even Verosika has a better idea of things.
I’m honestly in love with this song, I can’t lie. It has those old Disney Villain vibes, kinda like Poor Unfortunate Souls or Hellfire, and it, as another comment has stated, gives MAD Jack Skellington vibes. And I was genuinely perplexed about the lyrics when I first listened to it, like: “Huh?! Was Stolas USING BLITZ AS A PAWN?! WHAT’S GOING ON?!?! OH THEY’RE CONFESSING!!! YES!!!” etc. I loved this episode lol
My interpretation is Stolas is making up a story to take the fall for Blitz since technically Stolas was the one who allowed Blitz to use the book via the deal.
2:12 I hate and love how blitz said “I realized to late” because it shows that in apology tour when stolas was kissing the other demon that blitz realized his feelings for stolas but couldn’t tell him and now he does tell him but it is far to late. The poetic value of this is quite amazing and just delivers the line perfectly.
Can I add how he goes “Fuck It” right before he blames himself as the mastermind? Like he couldn't think of how to blame the others, so instead he takes the hit to save Blitzø.
my dream is Lucifer appearing in Helluva and making a reprise of the song "I am the mastermind, and I rull the infinity sky long before Hell was created and Sin born!"

@@jenniferrodriguez7182 It really was! I personally would've chosen Christopher Judge from the most recent God Of War games, but Patrick Page really blew me away.
Well, If i remember correctly. It has been say that a darkness of hell is already exist before the Hell been created. They just break in when Lucifer gave Lilith the apple. So, He can say the truth that he live before everyone else. Because, In human history, We surely feel rage before developing a pride.
@nopseudo-notag If you say so then. I didn't follow with everything that much. But, Who is actually the first to rule the endless dark because the Seven ring was made then. Because Lucifer is surely the strongest because Pride can make you create more Sin. And he also a fallet angel. So, What happen to the Devil who should be the first and ruler of all then?
he didn't say he rules hell, he said he ruled "the endless dark". Lucifer's sin created hell but evil existed long before hell was created, so there is still a chance that Satan is not lying here.
2:16 *“I’ll give my life to clean your slate.”* *”Don’t give your life to clean my slate”* I keep replaying that part, the harmony and the swap of the *”Your”* and the *”I”* is so sad yet also adorable 😭
the fact that i really love about this song, is that stolas didn't confess a single crime. he juste say "haha, i'm evil", and everyone is the room agreed, but no one can even define what illegal or evil thing he has done.
1:38 Okay, Stolas, one moment was all "I have no regrets!" To the court, but then the atmosphere around him and Blitz changed and Stolas goes "I have regrets..." Like he teleported himself and Blitz to a private void of sorts to speak his true feelings toward Blitz where no one else would hear him. 😢💔❤️🔥
Stolas' voice sounds really beautiful! He sounds like a literal Disney villain and a Disney princess both at the same time during this song! Bryce Pinkham really knocked it out of the park! But it wasn't just him that knocked it out of the park with his singing. Both Patrick Page, the voice of Satan and Brandon Rogers, the voice of Blitzo did a phenomenal job singing as their character! HOLY COW ! These guys can really sing! All three of them knocked it out of the park, especially Bryce. Also, the animation, visuals and colors looked really fantastic.
Remember when we all once thought the 'True Forms' of Stolas, Asomodeus, Mammon and Beelzebul were huge. Yet here is Satan sat most of the trial upon his throne-chair/Judges seat and yet he completely dwarfs the other Princes of Hell. I wonder what his 'true form' is like...maybe a gigantic Dragon??
Can I just say.... Fuuuuuuuuck man I thought Stolas pulling a Jack Skeleton was awesome, but Satan has no freaking right being this fucking hot just ohf his voice and his design is just amazing 😍❤ Also can we just agree that Ozzie & Bee being done with Satan's crap is just perfect and hilarious 😆
@marcosantonio-hj7vp that's just because it's the first time we're seeing him, remember a couple of characters were redesigned and look better then the first. Vivs will probably end up designing him in later episodes like she did with Striker and the Hazbin crew

This is showing that helluva boss and hazbin hotel are somewhat connected, the duck in that empty chair was Lucifer’s, it had his hat and jacket. I love the small details that show things like this and other things
That chorus of "He is The Law" goes unfathomably hard. Stolas just having a mental breakdown and making himself out to be the villain is top-notch entertainment.
Wow, that was quick, however.... The tension, the passion, the fury on their voices, goddamn amazing, the way Satan made them feel small and insignificant, even Lucifer, he was there before the fell, now i understand why the other sins respect him, and now i say: Helluva Boss es *CINE* Never mind the part of Satan saying he was before Luci, he deceived me once, but won´t do it twice, big, red ass liar
According To vivsepop that part Satan lying about that part, Lucifer has always been in charge of hell it’s just with his absence Satan power can not be contested by the king of hell and thus is been as the ruler in the eyes of the hellborn

It was nice to finally have a true duet (granted not the full song) for Stolas and Blitz, See Him Tonight was such a tease, as fun as the song was, to which I am sure Brandon Rogers was having a lot of fun with those lyrics.
Lyrics: -Stolas and Blitzø I came down just as soon as I heard of the imp, stood accused of a devilish crime. Could it be that a worm such as this half-a-brain could concoct such a plot so sublime? Does this fool deserve the flame? Or is someone else to blame? Like who, you ask? Some kind of mastermind. A mind behind the plan! Some villain's grand design, to use the book, to breach the world of man! Could he be, roaming free, scheming more master-mind-ery? Will he rest? Who knows what he may unleash... Next, do you execute this little wretch? Pat yourself on the back, close the case. Let this imp take the blame, take the fame, let his name light a fire in the hearts of his race. Why it's more than I can bear, I must make all of Hell aware! Fuck it! I am the mastermind! The hand that holds the strings. No simple imp of mine, could master the disaster... Oh it stings, that you thought, you had caught the schemer of the schemes, I wrought, I confess... It was me and I have no regrets... I have regrets. Why am I throwing my freedom away, for this idiot? (what have you done?) I would rather be dead, than live life without you by my side. (I can't live life without you by my side.) So if it keeps you alive... (What are you doing I don't deserve this!) I am the mastermind! The master of my fate... (I realized too late-) Sure as the stars have shined, I'll give my life to clean your slate! (Don't give your life to clean my slate!) You're my light. (You're my heart.) Only death can rend our love apart! -Satan and The Sins (Well, isn't that adorable? We have been betrayed by one of our own, a goetic demon. Your hubris has gotten the best of you, Prince Stolas.) I am the mastermind, and here, I am the law. (He is the law!) I've ruled the endless dark, since long before the Golden Angel's fall... So you see? Next to me your master plans all look so small. Little mice, when you break my rules you pay... The... Price!
as a musical nerd this is so good and the part where he says “aware” is my favorite and the way he says “away” is SO good. Another thing, when blitzø says “what are you doing I don’t deserve this!” Was so good
The eye roll from Ozzie and Bee and the glance Ozzie shot Satan when he said he ruled before Luci says it all! He’s lying his ass off since Luci ain’t there😂😂
Yeah they love the guy hes their brother but they cant help roll their eyes because if Lucifer was there he wouldn’t be running his mouth XD I like to think they yelled at him later for not being there to rein things in... and to say hi to Charlie and hang out with her and the others since (given the Cherubs know about the extermination Helluva Boss from at least Cherub onward is after S1 of Hazbin)
The detail i love at the end of the song is that leviathan looks pretty judgemental and mammon looks very happy that stolas got punished while bee and ozzie look disappointed with that sorrow look on their faces
My favorite part about Satan being Patrick Page is that he was also Hades in Hadestown. He is the ruler of the underworld once again, at least in an administrative capacity.
I love how when Satan said he ruled hell long before Lucifer fell, Bee and Ozzie rolled their eyes and looked at one another like “can you believe this guy??” 😂 All jokes aside tho, I think this is the best song of the entire series so far, along with the best episode so far. Also never really expected to hear Brandon actually singing as Blitzø
Love lucifers little "cameo" with the duck and the "BRB" also satans bit was just so fucking cool and ominous, man! I need a full song with him singing it, also loved the bit where he had the chorus "He is the law" overall this song is absolutely amazing and I love how good the helluva series has been so far!
There is genuinely SO much going on in this scene. This is my fourth time watching it, and I just now realized that when Blitz yells, “What are you doing? I don’t deserve this!”, the chains that hold him back are golden. They’re not the chains that Satan commanded to be placed on him, but it’s Stolas holding Blitz back from stopping his sacrifice. And they weren’t there the whole time. They appear and attach to his cuffs as Blitz starts to charge forward.
Love Satan's voice, love this song, love Stolas and Blitz showing there true love. Blitz actually breaking his character, this thing he created, to say That Stolas was his heart, when Stolas backed out in episode 7 season 1 that broke Blitz. Just love this scene so much.

Its ironic how Satan takes over the song claiming to be the true mastermind when he really doesn't know that Andrealphus is playing him.
And he was lying about ruling before Lucifer, to basically boost himself up. Viv confirmed it on Twitter and you can tell by Bee and Ozzie face when he says this. He’s cool but between Andrealphus playing him and him unnecessarily lying about ruling before Lucifer fell, he’s looking a little pathetic.
Abd claming that he rull before Lucifer when Hell wasn't even created.
I hope in the final episode of season 2: Sinsmas Satan will find out he was tricked by Stella, Striker, and Andrealphus he would give Stolas back his powers and punish them
Or he doesn’t care. Which is worse.
To be fair, despite Andrealphus's ulterior motives, an Imp having access to a goetic grimoire IS likely a punishable crime.
Satan was like "This song is kinda fire, but let me just make it a masterclass and introduce myself as the best character on this show"

The irony of Satan claiming to be the mastermind and the big ruler of Hell when
A) Hes being manipulated by Andrealphus and tricked by Stolas.

-Stolas and Blitzø
I came down just as soon as I heard of the imp, stood accused of a devilish crime.
(what have you done?)
I would rather be dead, than live life without you by my side. (I can't live life without you by my side.)
So if it keeps you alive... (What are you doing I don't deserve this!)
I am the mastermind! The master of my fate... (I realized too late-)
Sure as the stars have shined, I'll give my life to clean your slate! (Don't give your life to clean my slate!)
You're my light.
(You're my heart.)
Only death can rend our love apart!
-Satan and The Sins
(Well, isn't that adorable? We have been betrayed by one of our own, a goetic demon. Your hubris has gotten the best of you, Prince Stolas.)
I am the mastermind, and here, I am the law. (He is the law!)
I've ruled the endless dark, since long before the Golden Angel's fall...
So you see? Next to me your master plans all look so small.

This is my favorite HB song so far!! I love it sm, Viv definitely wasn't lying when she said this episode would be really amazing
They couldn’t have Patrick page sing a song and not have him sing a low C. Love that we’re finally getting a bass song in this show
THE"Your my heart"GOT ME
1:44 it was me and I have no regrets!
1:46 I have REGRETS!
Wow, that changed up quickly! 😂
Ah that’s just me on the daily
I guess that's all Stolas's point of existing. He used to pretend being someone else all his life.
Well yeah, the first is him lying to the court to seal his fate as the villain, the second is him being honest to himself.
@@Silveirias I mean, I was just trying to make a joke… not so serious
@@TheChop27 In that case, my bad. It's just that I've come across so many people already who have zero media literacy skills and who take everything at face value, needing stuff spoon fed to them.
Everybody talking about stolas singing but blitz' parts are so amazing brandon did such a good job
The scream I scrumpt thinking Stolas was about to expose Stella
Lucifer’s chair is like: *brb in 5 minutes* and just never returns
guy has a daughter working on a project, Lucifer maybe the ruler of hell but that is not an excuse to being a bad dad.
I fricking swear if every helluva song was on Spotify they’d all be in my playlist and I’d listen to em non stop for hours
I love how much the song changes
