@@chloenieuwsma4846 about time too, Blitz admitting to it and Stolas not being an emotional coward about it and doing what Asmodeus did at Mammon's clown pageant
I like the fact Blitz was scared because he was a imp and no one actually loved him except his mother and Stolas only showed emotion through sexual pleasure but its all reversed after Apology Tour
I’m honestly in love with this song, I can’t lie. It has those old Disney Villain vibes, kinda like Poor Unfortunate Souls or Hellfire, and it, as another comment has stated, gives MAD Jack Skellington vibes. And I was genuinely perplexed about the lyrics when I first listened to it, like: “Huh?! Was Stolas USING BLITZ AS A PAWN?! WHAT’S GOING ON?!?! OH THEY’RE CONFESSING!!! YES!!!” etc. I loved this episode lol
My interpretation is Stolas is making up a story to take the fall for Blitz since technically Stolas was the one who allowed Blitz to use the book via the deal.
This is such a little moment but I love how Satan's "anger management guy" at 2:48 seems utterly delighted by his boss displaying his power in a CALM manner. Because let's face it, a figure who's able to demonstrate their might without all the cliche yelling and raining hellfire is far more intimidating and awe-inspiring.
The eye roll from Ozzie and Bee and the glance Ozzie shot Satan when he said he ruled before Luci says it all! He’s lying his ass off since Luci ain’t there😂😂
Yeah they love the guy hes their brother but they cant help roll their eyes because if Lucifer was there he wouldn’t be running his mouth XD I like to think they yelled at him later for not being there to rein things in... and to say hi to Charlie and hang out with her and the others since (given the Cherubs know about the extermination Helluva Boss from at least Cherub onward is after S1 of Hazbin)
2:40. Anyone else notice how - in the bg - before Satan begins to sing, a similar wendigo noise that Alastor has in a few scenes of Hazbin Hotel begins to play?
Yes!!!! I noticed that too. So glad I’m not the only one who noticed. The sound used here sounds similar to the wendigo sound at the end of Stayed Gone where Alastor goes “Let’s Begin, I’m gonna make you wish that I stayed gone”.
my dream is Lucifer appearing in Helluva and making a reprise of the song "I am the mastermind, and I rull the infinity sky long before Hell was created and Sin born!"
I was going to quit Helluva Boss if Satan didn't sing, because seriously you couldn't just hire Patrick Page without him singing. This is definitely my favorite song of Helluva Boss now holy shit
No joke while Stolas was singing, and I absolutely love when Stolas sings, all I could think about was 'PLEASE let Satan have his verse and steal the show'
If I had a nickle for every time Patrick Page portrays a "lord of the underworld" having to deal with a lovesick singer causing a ruckus to have their darling spared... all the while having someone try to calm/reason with him... (while Stolas' BIL only wishes he could be Hermes, the /actually/ classy dude with feathers and blue colour scheme)
2:04 on blitzos “WHAT ARE YOU DOING I DONT DESERVE THIS!!” I almost cried that was PERFECT. The emotion.. the pitch.. the tone.. PERFECTION. We need Brandon to sing more, and I’ve never even came close to crying on this show. Bravo Brandon. Bravo.
The irony of Satan claiming to be the mastermind and the big ruler of Hell when A) Hes being manipulated by Andrealphus and tricked by Stolas. B) It was confirmed that he did in fact NOT rule Hell prior to Lucifer, and is using the absence of Lucifer to make himself look more powerful. C) Visually, he sits BELOW the rest of the sins, even if he really is the supposed "lawbringer" of them, he sits in the front row, while the other sins sit above him, and Lucifer (the ACTUAL king of hell) sits above THEM.
thats true, however one thing to be remembered is that when he sings " I am the law" other sins confirm it, and no one questions it. Even when bee and Ozz see that he is bullshitting abt him being the original lord, they only look at each other but dont say anything. What i am trying to say is that even if he lies a lot, one thing he says is true, that he is above all of the demons in that hall
@serdusrex7274 I think it's more out of fear than anything. Ozzie and Bee clearly don't like how he's lying through his teeth, but he's above both of them in power and rank, so they can't really do anything about it.
@@sonofjack6286 I think in fact he is the law...All the second to Lucifer in power and ranked. The sins confirmed it.... But I mean Charli exist so....😂😂😂
Can I add how he goes “Fuck It” right before he blames himself as the mastermind? Like he couldn't think of how to blame the others, so instead he takes the hit to save Blitzø.
1:59 something I noticed here, when Stolas heard blitz say that he couldn’t live his life without him, Stolas became more willingly to give his life away after realizing blitz really does care for him, it made him more determined to give himself after being comforted in the knowledge that blitz feels the same way.
This piece is absolute PLATINUM. The instrumentation is incredible, the lyrics are masterfully incorporated, it modulates 3 or four times?!?!!? I have so much respect for this team.
Well, If i remember correctly. It has been say that a darkness of hell is already exist before the Hell been created. They just break in when Lucifer gave Lilith the apple. So, He can say the truth that he live before everyone else. Because, In human history, We surely feel rage before developing a pride.
@nopseudo-notag If you say so then. I didn't follow with everything that much. But, Who is actually the first to rule the endless dark because the Seven ring was made then. Because Lucifer is surely the strongest because Pride can make you create more Sin. And he also a fallet angel. So, What happen to the Devil who should be the first and ruler of all then?
he didn't say he rules hell, he said he ruled "the endless dark". Lucifer's sin created hell but evil existed long before hell was created, so there is still a chance that Satan is not lying here.
Im actually so happy it was Patrick page that voiced satan, I adore hadestown and actually sing bass so he is like the only broadway actor I can sing along too. Also know the guy personally so props to him
My favorite part about Satan being Patrick Page is that he was also Hades in Hadestown. He is the ruler of the underworld once again, at least in an administrative capacity.

It was nice to finally have a true duet (granted not the full song) for Stolas and Blitz, See Him Tonight was such a tease, as fun as the song was, to which I am sure Brandon Rogers was having a lot of fun with those lyrics.
Stolas' voice sounds really beautiful! He sounds like a literal Disney villain and a Disney princess both at the same time during this song! Bryce Pinkham really knocked it out of the park! But it wasn't just him that knocked it out of the park with his singing. Both Patrick Page, the voice of Satan and Brandon Rogers, the voice of Blitzo did a phenomenal job singing as their character! HOLY COW ! These guys can really sing! All three of them knocked it out of the park, especially Bryce. Also, the animation, visuals and colors looked really fantastic.

Remember when we all once thought the 'True Forms' of Stolas, Asomodeus, Mammon and Beelzebul were huge. Yet here is Satan sat most of the trial upon his throne-chair/Judges seat and yet he completely dwarfs the other Princes of Hell. I wonder what his 'true form' is like...maybe a gigantic Dragon??

Got some serious Jack Skellington vibes from the beginning of this song! This is, by far, the best Stolas song I've heard this year, next to Look My Way (even if Vivziepop didn't make the song).
Why is nobody talking about how absolutely smooth the animation is from ‘pat yourself on the back’ to ‘light a fire in the hearts of his race’? ( 0:59 - 1:06 ) Viv did such a good job on this.
I love how when Satan said he ruled hell long before Lucifer fell, Bee and Ozzie rolled their eyes and looked at one another like “can you believe this guy??” 😂 All jokes aside tho, I think this is the best song of the entire series so far, along with the best episode so far. Also never really expected to hear Brandon actually singing as Blitzø
Love Satan's voice, love this song, love Stolas and Blitz showing there true love. Blitz actually breaking his character, this thing he created, to say That Stolas was his heart, when Stolas backed out in episode 7 season 1 that broke Blitz. Just love this scene so much.
I never really noticed this until through several rewatches: The Hell Cameras actually stop. Not just them rising at the end, but there's a specific moment where we see them once, then it cuts. Right after Stolas talks about Blitzo being executed and making him an immortal symbol, he announces that he's the Mastermind, Satan perks up. But right after that, you never see the cameras. As soon as Stolas 'confessed' and he realized what this was, *Satan cut the feed*. Everything after 1:25 until 3:26, the rest of Hell doesn't see, because the Cameras go from being prominently featured to never appearing in the other shots. Satan was running damage control, and didn't let the rest of the 'commoners' see Stolas be sympathetic. That's why they're all angry at him: Satan gave people the impression Stolas was just using Blitz for his own ends.
Love lucifers little "cameo" with the duck and the "BRB" also satans bit was just so fucking cool and ominous, man! I need a full song with him singing it, also loved the bit where he had the chorus "He is the law" overall this song is absolutely amazing and I love how good the helluva series has been so far!
This is showing that helluva boss and hazbin hotel are somewhat connected, the duck in that empty chair was Lucifer’s, it had his hat and jacket. I love the small details that show things like this and other things
There is genuinely SO much going on in this scene. This is my fourth time watching it, and I just now realized that when Blitz yells, “What are you doing? I don’t deserve this!”, the chains that hold him back are golden. They’re not the chains that Satan commanded to be placed on him, but it’s Stolas holding Blitz back from stopping his sacrifice. And they weren’t there the whole time. They appear and attach to his cuffs as Blitz starts to charge forward.

He probably did that as a facade since he is a Goetic prince. Stolas was supposed to be the villain in this episode but i think he's acting like this because of what Blitz had thought of him as in the Full Moon episode "A pompous rich asshole." Until the next part where he says he's the mastermind.
And sounds too

The irony of Satan claiming to be the mastermind and the big ruler of Hell when
A) Hes being manipulated by Andrealphus and tricked by Stolas.
The last one is actually quite interesting, didn't see it like that
Facts
thats true, however one thing to be remembered is that when he sings " I am the law" other sins confirm it, and no one questions it.

"I've ruled on hell since long before it was even created"
When you lie, at least try to make it belivable
Well, If i remember correctly. It has been say that a darkness of hell is already exist before the Hell been created. They just break in when Lucifer gave Lilith the apple. So, He can say the truth that he live before everyone else. Because, In human history, We surely feel rage before developing a pride.
@SogunTH no, helluva boss' hell was created when Lucifer gave the apple to eve
Also it's been confirmed that Satan is lying
@nopseudo-notag If you say so then. I didn't follow with everything that much. But, Who is actually the first to rule the endless dark because the Seven ring was made then. Because Lucifer is surely the strongest because Pride can make you create more Sin. And he also a fallet angel. So, What happen to the Devil who should be the first and ruler of all then?
It's Lucifer
he didn't say he rules hell, he said he ruled "the endless dark". Lucifer's sin created hell but evil existed long before hell was created, so there is still a chance that Satan is not lying here.

If you like his voice you will enjoy hades town so much
I never really noticed this until through several rewatches: The Hell Cameras actually stop.
There is genuinely SO much going on in this scene. This is my fourth time watching it, and I just now realized that when Blitz yells, “What are you doing?
