Oh my goodness I like this song!! Especially with Lute and the gold exterminators vibing along with Adam and the song especially with the "Guitar solo" line part.
And the voice actors! It seems a lot of them are Broadway stars, and it's an amazing choice that they were casted since theatre actors express themselves more.
During one of Adam's last verses, you can hear the sound of people in the background clapping to the rhythm and echoing what he's saying, which matches a lotta popular gospel music, which I thought was a nice note, whether or not it was intentional.
Wait this comment gave me flashbacks to those Christian rock songs they played at church and sometimes they was kinda fire. You're right, the repitition of the chorus with no instrumental with the clapping to beat is on point.
What I love about this song is how Adam straight up admits that one of the main reasons the exterminations continue is because they just really enjoy killing everyone and then immediately goes into a guitar solo before anyone including himself is able to question his morality Edit: I did not expect this to become some big morality debate, but I just wanted to say that I really don’t have a strong opinion on this, it’s just a cartoon and I only wanted to point out that Adam’s indifference to what he just admitted was a bit funny and a cool character quirk. Singing and performance shows the character's power and growth. It makes sense Adam would perform hard and out shine her to show her a lesson of who is stronger there.

Is it just me that even if that its not weird that the main Antagonist IS the ex of Protagonist mom? I dont know why but i feel tvis strange even if its not

R.I.P Adam, You were a great villain and one of my favorites, and even though your time on the show was short you did pull off a very sick villain song.
Props to Charlie trying to make a reprise to "Happy Day In Hell" on the fly. It's really cool that Viv got so many Broadway stars to lend their voice and singing talents to her works! Curious if she'll get another unexpected star for S2.
1:55 here Adam has these golden angels behind him making it look like he has 8 wings instead of 2. I wonder if this means he sees himself as a more powerful/higher status angel than he actually is
Adam displayed many traits of narcissism in this episode, so... It's very possible to be the case. To be honest, he is not too far away from Mammon's behavior.
Perhaps it's foreshadowing? Of who else is going to get in the way of charlie's hotel plans later down the line? Or to show that he's echoing opinions held people higher up than him. Which I suppose would amount to the same thing either way.
2:11 I find it cool how when charlie tries to touch adam it doesn't work cause he's a hologram, but when adam touches charlie it works. The sizzle/static was a nice touch too! small details mean the most sometimes.
I found really interesting, watching episode 6, the coincidence when adam says "fair is fair, an eye for an eye" and the fact that when vaggie was an angel, adam and lute cut her EYE off because they thought she was being unFAIR. I know that it's just a figure of speech but it fits perfectly

1:49 Same move he used on Alastor. Also, only the hellborn are supposedly exempt which means Adam is slaughtering his own descendants which only sinned because of him. Brings new meaning to the whole "I brought you into this world so I can take you out."
@@loppie_445 Luckily, I think the creators already covered that because if you listen to his rant he refers to the lady he banged as a "virtue chick." Virtues along with Powers, Principalities, and Dominions are all types of heaven-native angels.
Honestly, I think if his holy death ray he used on Alastor came from him strumming a chord on his guitar instead of an ax swing, it would’ve been funnier.
Sinned because of Lucifer given Eve the forbidden apple causing evil to enter humanity. Same Lucifer that (in this more mythical Jewish version of the bible, stole Lilith from him) and fathered the main character. I am surprised that Adam wasn't made in a more duality type character since he is killing his kids and he was supposed to be a pretty positive even if controlling figure.
My favorite part about this show is that as silly as it is, it does legitimately pose an interesting point. Like Charlie is basically upset that hell sucks and the seraphim are just like yea well that’s the point
Well yes, hell is supposed to be a bad time, but isn't the point more about hell being forever? Because most people would say that is unfair. Even when you become a good person, you never get a second chance?

This song is already one of the best songs in the series, but I think it's the visuals that make it THE best. Right from the start, you have Adam towering over Charlie which continues throughout the song, then you have the shot of her falling away from the gates of heaven, then the bit with Adam as a demonic-looking black and white joker card, then Charlie attempting to claw her way out of the bloody pit only to get slashed when she reaches the rim. I also like that bit where Charlie is surrounded by the golden angels and the "camera" sways slightly from her viewpoint as if to show how overwhelmed and disoriented she is in that moment.

Charlie’s original vision is for the Hazbin Hotel to be a rehabilitation center, so sinners can go to Heaven instead of dying after each extermination. “Because everyone deserves another chance!” But then when she sees Adam’s personality, it changes to “It would be a lot less effort for you!”
She’s talking to an egotistical angel in lead of killing demons, she’s just trying to appeal to him so he’ll at least try to listen, not that she actually believes it.
She was there right off the bat - when she brings it up, it’s with the idea Adam would get credit for the idea. When he’s not interested in that, she changes gears to frame it as less of a hassle for him if Hell is self sufficient. And then in the latest episode where she bribes Cherri to take the entire hotel out and not push Angel too far…Charlie knows how to deal with terrible people. The fact she chooses to see the good in them doesn’t mean she’s not very familiar with the kind of habits that terrible people practice.

During one of Adam's last verses, you can hear the sound of people in the background clapping to the rhythm and echoing what he's saying, which matches a lotta popular gospel music, which I thought was a nice note, whether or not it was intentional.
Well the golden angels are clapping for him in earlier scenes so makes sense
Wait this comment gave me flashbacks to those Christian rock songs they played at church and sometimes they was kinda fire. You're right, the repitition of the chorus with no instrumental with the clapping to beat is on point.
What I love about this song is how Adam straight up admits that one of the main reasons the exterminations continue is because they just really enjoy killing everyone and then immediately goes into a guitar solo before anyone including himself is able to question his morality
Edit: I did not expect this to become some big morality debate, but I just wanted to say that I really don’t have a strong opinion on this, it’s just a cartoon and I only wanted to point out that Adam’s indifference to what he just admitted was a bit funny and a cool character quirk. It’s been very interesting hearing all of your opinions, thank you for sharing them, but wow, I did not expect such a powerful moral debate caused by this silly little cartoon about singing demons and angels, very cool stuff.

1:55 here Adam has these golden angels behind him making it look like he has 8 wings instead of 2. I wonder if this means he sees himself as a more powerful/higher status angel than he actually is
Or, alternatively, he acquired his status by the service of others - not any merit of his own.
Adam would be the most powerful ex-human angel (saint?) Since he had the most time to grow his power.

But then when she sees Adam’s personality, it changes to “It would be a lot less effort for you!”
Key to selling something: know your target audience.
Not realizing that he not just enjoys killing Sinners.
It's his Heaven.
Why does this have over a thousand likes? People really don’t realize she was just trying to sell to her audience?
