I am going on year 15 years with my 2007 C230 / always garaged so paint, headlights all in very good condition. Repaired the tumble flap on the intake manifold lever that broke with a titanium ball stud. Also did the cam magnets, upper lower coolant hoses and replaced the thermostat/ full suspension refresh.
Car still runs great so I am in no hurry to replace it. Just shy of 200K miles and I am hoping to run it another 200k (God willing).
Got the P0022 and researching what might be going on.
I have your exact same car without the sun roof by the way. Prefer to stay away from after market wheels.

Nice! I'm curious to why you prefer to stay away from aftermarket wheels? n Oil Catch can will benefit this engine to collect oil from going into the intake which causes the tumble flap on the intake to brake.
I got a 230 Kompresor and it has 227,000 miles and runs like a monster.

I put I put regular fuel in there 87 it works fine no check light engine come on long as I go to Love's gas station

I had the same issue with mine.
If you have even the slightest vacuum leak these engines will code and run poorly
They are very sensitive!
Tint the windows, 19 inch wheels probably clk hood and fenders and xenon headlights
Thats the plan, tinted windows, really want to go 18's but the wheels i'm looking at they only have them in 19's and possibly lower it with H&R springs or a full set of adjustable coil-overs
I got 21s on mine I believe. Put a carbon fiber interior. Blacked wheels

So as of late my c230 has been having alot of electrical issues such as the radia turning on and off , the lights on the dash and inside the car have been flickering , my headlights work when they decide its time to work , i cant drive my car like this without getting stopped and its driving me nuts sometime ill be driving and the whole inside of the car along with the ac will just turn off for a min and then come back on
@@davidmolina4223 sounds like a Sam module that needs replaced. That I would have a shop do diagnosis and they will tell you which module needs replaced to stop this issue

Looking at a 2003 c230 Kompressor with 125k miles.... clean title...no check engine light...moderate wear in front seats and brand new rear seats. Is it reliable? Spend tok much gas in my corvette so looking for an alternative for daily driving. Gonna pay 2k. Nice vid. Thanks!!
I dont know much with the C230 kompressor, i think one come issue might be the timing chain. you could have to look that up on the Mercedes forums or youtube. Mine was not the kompressor. If anything you could look for a C320
Hello I gave the same car and having some electrical issues I believe, my key fob is not responding to my car and it won’t start for some reason and it’s not my key fob and I’m not completely sure if my car is in tow mode or not any advice ?
I never never experience that issue before, best advise I will give is to search the problem and add the word "forum" at the end of it on google. It will pull up a Mercedes forums and i'm sure there is a forum on this issue and someone found a solution. Just to ask have to changed the battery in the key-fob? Disconnected the Battery form the car for about a minutes and reconnect the battery?
I’m going to look at a 2007 c230 today, what problems should I be looking for? Mainly
Check engine light if it has one look up the code to see if related to intake manifold or balance shaft. Suspension any shaking on the steering wheel when braking. Other than that just do the normal routine check because I’m sure you are going to be doing a full Tune up servicing after purchase

Also which engine oil shoul I use it’s over 230k? I live in Vancouver
@@spikyamet yeah it’s the rotors causing the shake. It could also be the upper or lower control arms. For oil where you live 0w-40
Keep the wheels amg brother. Find some 18s, some sets come staggered. Or lower it and it will look amazing on those wheels

Just grabbed a 2007 sport 230 and it’s developing a tick I believe should I get it fixed or replace the engine?
To be honest they sound like that. Mine did that, I looked on a ton of forums and owners have the same noise. Some say they had driven for 50k miles and they have had no problems. Just keep up with checking oil levels and oil changes
i got the same car. and year low miles. kompressor it be gas from the gas station. that why I go to love gas station now and just fill up on regular gas. I had my car over 5 years now no problems

To be honest a stage 1 stage tune with a different intake and Throttle body. But really it won’t be much gains/ won’t be quick tho

I have a 2003 c230 Kompressor and my rpm’s was going up and down and struggling to get past a certain rpm the. Would shake real bad I parked it and now it won’t run at all I replace the fuel pump because my mechanic told me that’s what it was and that wasn’t it I heard mass air flow sensor could that be right I’ve put a lot of money into this car
Did it have a check engine light? If it did what was the code?
@@HeyboysGarage I had a new engine put in so the check engine light was always on and read the same miles as the old engine but i put a scanner on it that they loan you at O’Reillys and to be honest I had no idea what I was looking at I went throw all the step but I could tell by what it was showing me
@@HeyboysGarage I also had a new transmission put in it is it possible that in needs transmission fluid
Check the coils, spark plugs. I had something similar happened to my C 230 2007 but now it runs like new. I also replaced the transmission speed sensor and the car is a beast.

Get a OBD2 scanner and find out what codes you are getting. That should give you can idea why you are having that issue. I recommend the Benz Launch elite scanner. I did a video on it not too long ago

Honestly replacing it is the better option
I'm thinking hot glue or rubber cement would work on that seal.
