I bought a 2003, C230 Kompressor for 4K and when I made the deal it wasn't because I hit the highway and got a feel for how the car moves at 189 hp. I just took it a block from the seller to hear the car and check the suspension on Conte tires. It was 2019, I told the seller who had it garaged I was gonna take care of any problems, that I had a shop and techs for it. The interior was like new, I got all the dealer records and I knew the seller parked it near his boat at the marina due to rust on the brakes. I put 4K in necessary repairs, 3K in upgrades, slotted rotors, cleaned up the rust myself, painted them, new brakes, trans mount, pulley, fuel filler neck, purge valve, lower radiatir hose... Threw some new Toyo Extenza II tires on it with some Versa powder coat chrome and black rims 👍 and man am I happy in 2024. I just took it through the paces the past 5 months to kill the starter with Doordashing but it had a no start, OL fault System 1 which lets me finally replace the fuel pump and starter. Maybe a relay or two, no biggie. It has 128K miles, I did the oil change myself at 123K miles and added A/C to chill out this summer while Doordashing part time. I listed it for 3K on CL and had 5 dealers that wanted it, three private party buyers who had no clue how to treat this project I started. Then I raised the price to 4K on CL... I put 11K into my project but it paid me $38,000. via Doordash and Instakart 🤑
I am willing to work on a car. So i know what it is. How it works learning the maintenance. Now i sleep better. Dream of having my own awesome tool tower. And that is what i did years ago... You start listening to your car and other peoples car.. you develop eyes and ears. For it....... saved myself tons of money$$$$.
@Moneygrip I like your videos. I watch them again now and then. You guys are very funny. That's a good thing... buddies Bros for life... Keep it going!!!! DRIVING VIDEO WAS VERY GOOD ALSO .GOOD POINTS TO THINK ABOUT.
@Moneygrip quick question did you have a problem with the Upstream wideband sensors? I found out that the downstream on either motor or a match. But the upstream's have to go from 17019 to a 17 016 Bosch wideband oxygen sensor.
I’ve seen a lot of 01-07 c classes on fb marketplace, most of them have 200,000 plus miles on them, some have electrical issues, some have a bad motor or trans, and the ones that actually do run and drive always have some kind of problem with breaks, wheel bearings/ bushings, or missing the catalytic connectors 🤦🏾♂️😂 but I still want one for a project 😁
2004 benz e320 sliver exterior and silver interior 80k miles its absolutely beautiful but everyone i know is telling me not to buy it :(((((( i want it so bad i cant decide
@@frankieolvera267Ya! DO IT!!!! THESE CARS ARE FUN TO DRIVE... NICE TO GO OUT to dinner and then really cool on open roads. No regrets these cars handle turns you could really feel the road knowing that you are in control. Stick to the maintenance schedules and you should be just fine.
