  • Do you want to improve a la seconde? In this routine I tried showing all you the exercises I know that will help you with improving your side extentions and developpé a la seconde.
    I think there are 3 main components of success here - the flexibility, the strength of the working leg and the stability of the supporting hip so we are going to be doing exercises that are targeted for solving these problems.

      Well, yes the full split is very advanced no simple. Maria may have skipped the instruction for an easier beginner version , maybe another ballerina at her side. I can not dismiss her incredible effective workouts that activates the right muscles sequentially.
      I do my own adaptation for beginner or intermediate when I follow her exercises that I feel may be too advanced for me. For instance on this clip that she starts with the full split ( simple?)I just bend my knee as I may improve my extension, but probably never be able to make the full split, yet benefit from
      the workouts and stretches… what do you think? We could contact Maria directly to make the suggestion to have an easier version side by side with hers…

    You are awesome! I've always loved your dancing but I've gained a whole new respect for you because of all the helpful workouts and routines you are sharing. I'm sure I will refer back to these videos even after quarantine has ended, they are so so helpful and understandable too! I feel all the correct muscles working :D

    I just did this and I was shaking when I did the plie, I love this tutorial!!!! I will hopefully have a very nice a la seconde because I will be doing this everyday along with my exercises already🙂

    I love your videos!! They help me so much as a dancer. Could you please do videos on exercises to improve turns, jumps, petite allegro and grand allegro. I loved your cardio video as well. It would be very helpful if you could do a an intense cardio workout for dancers that don’t bulk the muscles! Thank you once again. I bless you and all the work you are doing to help us :)

    This is quite a practice ‼️❤️. Was scared to try it - seeing as it starts with splits..... But, I finally tried it and I’ll definitely repeat it many times more. It’s so effective - stretching & strengthening - absolutely yummy. Of course, I’m no where near you - but, as you said “practice will get me close”. So grateful & much appreciate all your videos 🙏.     Спасибо, да робольше пожалуйста таких упражнений. Мне лично очень понравилось, вспотела сильно, но при этом разражающего или нагружающего сердце, как при беге нагрузки нет.
