Nicely done and thanks for the vid. EXACTLY what I was looking for. I especially like the comment about dust. I call it "Jeep dandruff" and I don't remove it, either.. It adds character and excitement when I turn on the heat for the first time after having the top off all summer... Take care, my Jeep bro.
Mason Canner, as far as I know, all years of the tj should have it. When you opened it were there 5.25 speakers or the 4x6? Is it possible that a previous owner did some kind of mod?

Why not just order a new set of 4/6 speakers? I seen Polk has a set on Amazon.
because 5 1/4 sound much better
When I open the dash up and take the speakers out I don’t have that bracket that you cut out. Do certain years not have it.(2004 wrangler X)

it had the factory 4x6 speakers, and the previous owner was a older guy and he did nothing to the jeep at all.
Interesting, so are you unable to use the 5.25 brackets?
Lets Jeep I’m not sure, I ordered the brackets just Incase, there coming this week
Well if there is no factory bracket you might just be in luck. Maybe it'll just make the install that much easier.
Does taking that bar out cause any issues later on?
Haven’t had any issues yet! No telling what could happen down the road.
