Awesome job man! I actually bought the OEM subwoofer since my Jeep came with center console and I purchased & installed the stock Nav radio with all around new kicker speakers (Sub included which came with the purchase) and I’m extremely happy with the setup. It wasn’t fun but Im more than happy with the results. I wish I would’ve recorded it for Jeep nation though. Thank God for ppl like you.
I also recommend the braided loom instead of that plastic stuff. Cheap on Amazon and you can get it in split as well. It looks so much better and you can tidy things up better. A lot smaller.
Just got the amp on your recommendation. It works great. I can’t get the remote wire to work correctly, did you have issues with the remote at all? I’m going to my blue/white wire but no luck. It works perfect when I jump it on the amp though.
I didn't have any troubles. I don't remember how I connected mine. All you need to do is find any 12v wire that turns on with the ignition. Doesn't have to be blue wire on radio. Hope this helps!
It hooked the remote to a fuse. I think my remote wire provided with the amp kit I bought was a little on the weak/brittle side. Works great. Thanks for the video you posted. It helped a lot.
Great solution! Did you bypass the stock wiring harness to the sub completely and ran your new wire to the sub? I have a 2005 TJ and I’ve heard the the sound bar speakers run through that harness... do you know if that’s correct? I’d love to just be able to unplug the harness and run new wire to the sub.
Yes, I ran rca Jacks(Red and white) from my radio to the amp. Then I ran the speaker wire from the amp to the sub. My sound bar wires go to the radio and I use the subwoofer output rca's(on the back of the radio) to get signal to the amp. Hope this helps!
Job well done. Love the amp location. I have a 12" Kenwood in a speaker box I'll order that amp and placed in same location on my 2006 TJ . Awesome. Thank you for Sharing
This amp is slightly overpriced for what you get. There are multiple better options out there, alpine and kenwood are the first to come to mind. They are less money but with better components and more RMS. However, glad to see finally a jeep amp install that isn't using some cheap off brand amp.
Do you have a video, or can you at least provide me with information on the other speaker components you have installed? You mentioned a sound bar, and I would be curious to see the actual products you used. I have a 99 TJ. Thanks!
Nice stereo. I have a new stereo in mine and original front speakers that are 23 years old. The previous owner had upgraded the speakers in the sound bar but I'm not happy with how it sounds. Great job as usual. I fo have a question about your door straps. Where did you get yours? Mine are stretched and swing to far out.

Hey mate. I got a 2005 wrangler TJ renegade came with stock 6 speakers, sub and I would assume an amp in the centre console were the sub is. I'm looking to replace the stock radio with android touchscreen aftermarket radio. Did you have any issue wiring from the stock jeep harness to after market stereo?
@@spastroboy all you will have to do is get the correct wiring harness to plug into your factory harness. Wire it to the radio harness. Colors should match. I have done it a lot. You shouldn't have any trouble at all. Thanks!
@@ForceBuilt yeah been looking into it njust wasn't sure if the amp power / connection is going through the same harness. Read a few places that the stick amp doesn't always work with aftermarket stereos
just skimmed through video plan on watching again once my sub comes in, was thinking of making an enclosure and then just adding the sub to it, heard it’s a lot cheaper and not much labor at all.

Nice Danny. Thanks for the recommendation!
I like the amp. You have turned the Jeep into a great machine. I enjoyed this video just like all of the ones you have produced.
Thank you Gerald! Glad you liked it!

@@mwfeatherston you are very welcome!
Awesome video Steve! I have it on my to do list to upgrade to an amp and sub, and I put this amp in my Amazon cart while watching this vid.
Thanks Mark! Yeah, the amp is good and not too expensive!
Amps create a good bit of heat, no problems keeping it in the dash?
Haven't had a problem at all. I would for sure do this again. The problem is this small amp has went up in price. I gave $100 and now it is much more.

What type of radio & screen setup do you have?
Here is my video on that. th-cam.com/video/7TAJ7i83BKI/w-d-xo.html
Steve can you link your amp kit? Replicating your setup since you had great things to say about it. Looking forward for the next JJ episode.
Links to amp and sub already in description. Use you favorite amp install kit. Thanks
@@ForceBuilt sorry should’ve been more specific. What gauge amp kit did you use? 10 gauge? 8 gauge? Thanks.
@@MikeH_41-33_LII I think it was 8. The amp doesn't take big wire. Mine still going strong.
Sounds awesome that another thing my tj needs I'm definitely going to look in to that amp.
Good deal! I still love mine! I would definitely purchase again!
Wonder if anyone else has a 01 Jeep Wrangler with center console with only speaker grill and no subwoofer?
Yep, my 04 tj is like this
So far I've only drilled out the rivets for the storage box
Cool music choice, btw... thanks for the info video.
Thanks for watching!

My factory harness is nonexistent. I had a hot and a ground. I had to run all the other wires to the speakers from scratch.

Oh, ok. Never used a stock amp with aftermarket radio. I understand now. Yeah, I don't think that will work.
nice job as usual...you ever going to take JJ offroad?
Thanks Brad! Yes Sir. Will post a video when I do!
Where did you get that dash mount for the phone?
Amazon
what did you wire the actual amp too if the speaker wires are the only connecting to the subwoofer?
just skimmed through video plan on watching again once my sub comes in, was thinking of making an enclosure and then just adding the sub to it, heard it’s a lot cheaper and not much labor at all.
Only wires going to the back are for speakers. Everything else is up front. It's in the video.
Did you run your speakers to the amp?
Just the Subwoofer. It is a monoblock amp and only does Bass. Thanks
Was the amp wire solid blue or blue and white?
On the radio side I think it is blue and white. I remember my radio wire was labeled. It can be blue or blue/white.
Thanks, getting ready to do mine.
@@Dlwmorgan82 just fyi. The wire on the radio may be labeled remote turn on or some similar wording.
I’m new to subs. Do I have to have an amp of the sub is in a box already?
If the sub box isn't powered already, yes. Most sub boxes are not but some are. Thanks Captain!
Could you not have mounted the amp to the metal plate?
It's been a while since I did this. I'm not sure? Could be an option though. Thanks!
That’s the smallest amp I’ve seen
Yeah, it is really small. Packs quite a punch for such a small size! Pushes my single 10" sub plenty hard!
