According to Vedas in Yuga cycle the ages see a gradual decline of dharma, wisdom, knowledge, intellectual capability, life span, emotional and physical strength. Satya Yuga - Virtue reigns supreme. Human stature was 21 cubits (33 ft 6 inches). Average human lifespan was 100,000 years. Treta Yuga - There was 3 quarter virtue and 1 quarter sin. Normal human stature was 14 cubits (22 ft 4 inches). Average human lifespan was 10,000 years. Dwapara Yuga - There was 1 half virtue and 1 half sin. Normal human stature was 7 cubits (11 ft 2 inches). Average human lifespan was 1,000 years. Kali Yuga - There is 1 quarter virtue and 3 quarter sin. Normal human stature is 3.5 cubits (5 ft 3 inches). Average human lifespan will be 100 years. In the present days we may be said to live in a Kali Yuga, which is said to have started in 3102 BCE with the end of the Mahabarata(Dwapra). This date is also considered by many Hindus to be the day that Lord Krishna left Earth and went to abode

Every time I am inspired by Palki talking about a news item like this, the greater the probability that the people listening to her will reach an incredible age increases (imho). ( : She is such an excellent presenter, talking with such clarity and honesty that may emerge from her news reports. It may likely leave us feeling that there is something to live and strive for, no matter how grave the Gravitas. Having greater clarity about what is really going on in the world provides us with a better opportunity to be a part of the required solutions, rather than enlarging the existing problem/paradigm. In my lifetime there has not been such a grave/"Gravitas" time to be alive since the Cuban Missile Crisis, when I was 7. It is wonderful and an honour to have someone like her delivering the news. May she live very long and well and continue to inspire us all for a very an extraordinary long time.
The secret to living a long healthy life is to stop lying, blaming, and talk trash to others you do not know. Then you will live a long life, otherwise karma kicks in real fast. It's the real truth!

It’s interesting to see that all of those old people shown are actually not working. 😂 They’re just relaxing, cooking, dancing etc. Retiring doesn’t mean you stop moving. You just stop being an employee and start doing the things that make you happy. That’s the essence of Ikigai. A reason for being. What motivates you to wake up in the morning and live your life.
I retired early at 36 because of a back injury exacerbated by constant sitting in front of a computer at the office. Now, I move a lot because of daily house chores and pet cats. I'm 47 now. Hope I could reach at least 80.

My grandma lived to be 101. I believe she would have lived longer if she had not moved into nursing home at 94, because there she fell, pushed a help button and no one came to her aid until 2 hours later. My grandma worked until she was 64, retired due to a heart attack, then gardened on her 1.5 acre and remaining active in her church, helped raise her grand kids and traveled. She was of Prussian descent.
God limited it to 120 years Gen. 6:3 Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”
Why living longer, is an achievement, living as long as one is self dependent, What is one's contribution to humans, should be the question. What is the contribution made by someone to human & nature should be the question. Do you agree Palki ?
if you are not healthy in your fifty’s and have problems in daily working or suffering form a life style disease like diabetes them you should consider shorter lifespan a problem
Not everyone must be contributing in society. So many are just consumed but they "pay" for the service. The payment is a contribution itself to help service providers move ahead. If a person really wants to live 150 years, then no one can judge the status of their social contribution.
This is what we should be working on. Extending longevity, so that the younger kids in the family have more older folks to learn how to live and wisdom from. And smaller birth rates to compensate. We would have a more wise and caring population.
I strongly believe, , Living a long life is a result of your own karma and nothing to do with food , life style or any other facts ! We are born with that time and you will leave one day when your time on this earth is complete . And nothing can hold you back ! Accumulate good deeds , have compassion to all living beings and help the needy when ever you can and die happily with no regrets!😊

Read books on 1) health 2) how to be a good person and have a good character 3) how to get along well with others even difficult people 4) how to be financially secure 5) how to be mentally strong and not be stressed 6) how to be spiritual and not be materialistic 7) how to be cheerful and engage in creative hobbies that make life worth living.
Yes we can live longer. If only we stop listening to the fear and self destruct mechanisms being peddled. The will to live the will to believe in yourself is what contributes to long life.

Happiness is the secret. serotonin is a psychedelic responsible for your perception of space time. The faster your life feels in the present, the better. I'm sure a lot of you are wondering why the past feels quick during corona.... its worth doing more research into this topic. Psychedelic are constantly associated with immortality.
Serotonin is a neurotransmitter not a psychedelic. Psychedelics are not "associated with immortality". They are just drugs which are very useful, but can also have negative psychological effects. you should write more clearly or youll just confuse everyone. The one thing "age related" which psychedelics are good for is that they may have a beneficial effect at guarding against things like dementia, but we actually know almost nothing about psychedelics as they were illegal, so not much research has been done.
@@person1858 serotonin is a psychedelic and a neurotransmitter. serotonin's systematic name is 5-Hydroxytryptamine. Your most common pschedelics are tryptamines like LSD, psilocybin DMT etc.. they all bond to the 5-HT receptor. psychedelic simply means a molecule responsible for you perception of spacetime. Yeh sorry about writing incoherently - im not gonna write a well structure comment on TH-cam though.... They are associated with immortally - read Graham Hancock's Supernatural. he talks about all the old cultures of the world being influenced by them, and the practices of the surviving tribesmen. They have been using near death experiences and Ibogaine for around 32,000 years and they all associate with life after death. Ask yourself why these molecules where banned. Scientist at the time were dead against a ban. And i doubt you'll believe me, but dementia is a result of Human devolving back into animals. We are losing the ability to communicate with one another. Thanks for replying - i'm happy to talk further if you want?
@@nickfoster7043 I didnt realise you were talking about a supernatural afterlife. I thought you were referring to biological immortality. I havent had an experience with psychedelics yet though I plan to. but in general im skeptical of such claims. As for the dementia thing I think thats a natural consequence of getting old. People are never at their sharpest in their 90s after all, Im not sure if thats the same as devolving.
@@person1858 I mean both. I won't attempt to argue staying in the material world for an eternity is possible, because it is a little crazy to think it possible tbh. I will say though that The Buddha and Methuselah have some interesting lore about them. Like how the The Buddha was able to levitate which is all the do with inverting gravity, and if you know a little physics, you know that gravity and time are the same thing. If you a happy person I highly recommend getting stuck right into psilocybin. And at the end of your trip, ask yourself "how much have I aged?" I recommend doing it in nature too. Oooo and if you have any intolerance to any food, stay clear of those types of food for at least 3 days before tripping. Sorry for all the unsolicited advice haha =) Also please consider the effect it has on your genetics. Happiness is responsible for stopping our genetics deteriorating. it also is responsible for our metabolism meaning our genetics code is used more often per a second the happier we are. I wonder what other tryptamines can do for us =)

I'm 47 now. Hope I could reach at least 80.

if you are not healthy in your fifty’s and have problems in daily working or suffering form a life style disease like diabetes them you should consider shorter lifespan a problem
Not everyone must be contributing in society. So many are just consumed but they "pay" for the service. The payment is a contribution itself to help service providers move ahead. If a person really wants to live 150 years, then no one can judge the status of their social contribution.
Because people want to live longer. Human life is far too short.
This is what we should be working on. Extending longevity, so that the younger kids in the family have more older folks to learn how to live and wisdom from. And smaller birth rates to compensate. We would have a more wise and caring population.
The last part I felt like Palki is personally talking to us and not narrating any news :-) keep doing that more often we love it.

Sorry for all the unsolicited advice haha =)
Also please consider the effect it has on your genetics. Happiness is responsible for stopping our genetics deteriorating. it also is responsible for our metabolism meaning our genetics code is used more often per a second the happier we are. I wonder what other tryptamines can do for us =)
