    I bought some bespoke curtains from Hilary’s Blinds with a blackout layer and they work a treat. You can have that cinematic feel during the day.

    That’s a nice looking TV you got there. I got a LG C1 in my living room and there’s a lot of light coming in from the back where my balcony is. I also have a LG G2 in my bedroom. I’ll wait a few years more before I upgrade my C1.

    Just bought the LG G3 55inch. Crazy bright. Only issue is slight green tint. Adjusted the green levels to -10

    Out goes the Denon AVR in comes a Pioneer amp. I guess it's just going to be for stereo music
    If I may... a large set of black velvet curtains won't just help with the acoustics of the room but if you hook them up via voice control switchbot curtain rail robots you'd be able to do a comparison on both light and dark rooms.

    Freind of mine has a G1 and he LOVES it and like me refuses to move on to another tv until his dies! Lol. That being said. You have a new place Paul? I hope one day you will give a tour of your new place. Hope all is well my friend.

    This TV is really good value buy now and still top notch picture,
    But from what ive seen on line the Sony A95L is on a other level out of the box. With a hefty matching. price.

    Hey Giant, you mentioned you like Soap Opera Effect. Out of all the TVs you've tested which perform the best in this area?

  • @dannyvanlaarhoven
    @dannyvanlaarhoven ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Added 2 watch later always enjoy your vids. Anyhow I also bought a 77"G3 couple of weeks ago but mine was plagued with enormous banding so I had to RMA it and replace it with my older CX65" for a while now. Hoped they would swap it but the store did not and today I got my money back. So gonna buy myself another G3 at another store haha. But perhaps this time it needs to be 65"because my wife was complaining it was 2 big.... Just my luck. We have plenty of space for a 77" so that is a shame should perhaps trade her in 2 :P

    • @khobia2

  • @blackscorp

    Man I can’t really decide between the Sony , Samsung, or LG .. seems LG is giving me the most for the money , the G3 in 85 or 77 … found out today sqaure trade is cutting me a check for the warranty. Now it’s up to me which one , I have a G2 in bedroom. I wanted a QD oled panel for living room but I’m hearing lots of sources saying the G3 is much brighter than last years flagship. Thanks for the video Tech G .

    • @TestTranslator
      @TestTranslator ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is brighter than last year but only up to 77” so I would skip the 83.

    • @blackscorp
      @blackscorp ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TestTranslatoryes I further found this out . IDK what these corporations are thinking when they make decisions like this . . Thanks for the heads up .. now watch next year at CES the 83 will have the MLA . It’s all about money ! 💰 I hate it 😡🔥 thanks again . I still can’t decide which one out of all top 3

    • @TestTranslator
      @TestTranslator ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blackscorp I don’t think 83” has MLA in 2024 unless you see an 83” QD-OLED. LG is trying to reduce cost as they’re losing money and they don’t produce a lot of 83”.

    • @blackscorp
      @blackscorp ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TestTranslatorno you’re right about the 83” I have a feeling next year they’ll do the MLA on the 83 .. I could be wrong of course . I’m still mind blown they’d make a decision like this ….

    I’m done with oled. After 1year I had burn-in on my 65B9 where the subtitles are. LG replaced the screen under warranty. But as expected I have the same issue again. So I have these horrible rectangle boxes at the bottom of the screen and no warranty anymore. The image is beautiful but no more oled for me.

    • @mattoth6617
      @mattoth6617 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You just so happened to get a oled the year before they got way better about that. I have a c2 and almost 1k hours of pc/gaming/movie watching and no sign of burn in.

    • @SteveSmith-cm1hx
      @SteveSmith-cm1hx ปีที่แล้ว

      Burn in was pretty much fixed starting with the CX and onwards. LG to their credit worked hard to solve the burn in issues and they have been sucessful. Not saying you still cant get burn in on an OLED but these days you have to beat the hell out of it for it to happen.

    • @indysbike3014
      @indysbike3014 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s what they said when I bought mine 3years ago. And you guys believe that, good luck.

    • @3_Dimensional
      @3_Dimensional ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Dude your oled B9 is so old tech... the Evo panels are not affected even after 10months of burn in stress... Check rtings, for god shake.

    • @TheTechGiantYouTube
      @TheTechGiantYouTube  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately older OLEDs were quite prone to suffering from burn in. Newer models are far more resilient to it.
      But i can fully understand why you would be put off, I’d be exactly the same mate.

    • @TheTechGiantYouTube
      @TheTechGiantYouTube  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would love to use such footage. But unfortunately showing just a few seconds of someone else’s footage would get a copyright claim against me, and the result of that would be that 100% of the money made from this video would go directly to the owners of that footage, and i wouldn’t get a penny.

      @salambaba_com ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Hearty2k9 not G3 right now, but i have 55 inches C3 right now and I reviewed in my channel, The "C" series is usually LG's most popular OLED, as it typically has almost all of the features of the 'G' series but at a more manageable price point. Indeed, aside from the G3's Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology, the C3 comes with everything the G3 does, like the 2023 version of LG's proprietary webOS smart interface and four full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth ports. It also has LG's latest 2023 processor, the a9 Al Processor Gen6, which promises improved image processing through LG's Brightness Booster Max and Al Tech technologies, as well as the ability to up-mix 2-channel audio into virtual 7.1.2 channel sound using Al Sound.
