    *Incomplete work in progress* = no need to worry about slight misalignments of parts. This is still being taken out & put back and will have a lot more of the appropriate stuff added to it. I will not be cutting holes in my table to add pits nobody will ever be able to see, though.
    Various names for this type of building: Engine shed, maintenance shop, locomotive repair shop, motive power depot (MPD), traction maintenance depot, diesel shed, etc.
    I'm not taking suggestions for anything in the main bulk of New Jang City, but go to the most recent Mellemby District related video if there's anything you'd like to built or placed down there!

      JANGBRiCKS just out of curiosity will this Rail yard have fencing (most IRL Rail Yards have Fencing round them for safety and security purposes)? Oh also another question is this company privatized or Nationalized ?

      JANGBRiCKS I would like to see a few trucks that have train wheels and normal LEGO wheels as track maintenance and a car with a crane for track maintenance it would be awesome - Joey

    @cocoa7053 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's coming along very nicely! I know it's just by luck, but I love the color choices you made. The sand and dark green compliment the grey colors well. The shape of the roof looks nice, too. I think adding the slope bricks in the middle gave it some depth, for sure.

    Jang this is excellent and, as you say, makes the rail yard and the city more complete. It is something, like it did for me when I added mine, that makes you feel good. Not sure why that is, but totally understand where you are coming from.. great work!!

    It has a great relatively modern US-ish straight engine house style to it and it scales with your locomotives beautifully.

    Looks lovely. Can't wait to see how it looks with some grass pieces and bushes. Maybe a cool idea to add a diesel refueling station somewhere in the yard (perhaps at the track all the way at the back?)

    I love the storage shed for the train my favorite detail is the doors and how you made them looked rolled up, it's a lot better then the one I had as a kid that lego put out and better then one I ever made myself

    I remember adding the locomotive shed to our Hornsby setup growing up and how it made the whole model suddenly feel alive. Great looking #LEGO shed given how you approached it with 'limited' parts (you have an enviable parts bin fro most people). Keep up the great MOCs

      Use something like the blade of a pocket knife to hold the edge of the sticker as you apply it, then use your thumb to smooth it out. That's how he does it on his speed builds

    Small suggestion for the train yard if you weren't considering it already: some small plants here and there would look great and add some nice detail! Real places like this get lil weeds and patches of grass growing in the dirt hehe!

  • @carslayer
    @carslayer 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome! Like you said, it really completes the yard.
    There are some really great details. I especially like the curved areas above the doorways that seems to hint at a take-up reel for a metal rollup door. The curved "windshield" type pieces at the upper part of the building are a good idea as well.
    I cant wait to see what else you add to it.

  • @kyrylofilonenko322

    With the city underneath. You could make an elevator from ground level all the way to the top of the table and it would just end as a red phone box. Or you could make something similar to Futurama. : )

    The colour choice of your engine shed strongly reminds me of GWR (Great Western Railway). GWR is a train-line operations company here in the UK who recently went back to their prior livery of dark green. Looks the part in lego form and pops nicely amongst the greys and browns that surround it. Top work as usual, just need to build some classic steam locomotives to keep the workshop busy!

  • @dnhannes
    @dnhannes 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I completely agree that the structure really lifts the area to a higher level. And, even if it was dictated purely by parts availability, the colours are apropriate for the type of building as well as the place in the layout. It has made me more enthousiastic than I would expect this type of addition to do. Then again: your work does tend to have that effect :-)
