That's quite a collection Eric! I always wondered, collectors like you must carry a rider on their home owners insurance in case of a catastrophic event. Is this something you carry?
Sweet video eric! I have to say it’s been wonderful watching the collection grow since 2011 and I can’t wait to see it continue. Thank you for the steadier camera it made watching it far far easier on my eyes in comparison to the original 2023 video! Anywho keep on going!
Forget the Haters Bro, Love your collection. We love your Locomotive count video, Pls continue making it. If you find a response from 10 haters then remember there are thousands of us waiting for such videos and we fully support you. It's not just a collection Bro, you have made a museum out of all your collection.
Hey Eric I've been watching you since early 2010 back when I was only a kid still and the layout was nothing like it is today can't believe how much more you've collected over the years I hope to come down to georgia one day during your open house and see the table for myself
You did make a minor error. Around 10:50 in the video, you say that Santa Fe 5001 is a northern. It is a 2-10-4, not a 4-8-4. Great video regardless of any mistakes! It’s always a great time watching these model trains do their stuff!
Truly awesome Eric! I'm turning Kermit green with envy. Thanks for sharing not only your trains and layout but also your passion and enjoyment of this hobby. Looking forward to the bonanza this year. Keep up the great work.
Eric, thanks for sharing your collection of your O Gauge Locomotives with us train nuts, I enjoy watching 0 gauge train collections of all sizes, both large and small, again thanks for sharing!👍🚂🚞
I always love to see your collection because I can see the real locomotive not an illustration in a catalogue. Sometime that influence me to buy it or not . I'm starting my collection as well. 13 so far ! 3 steam and 10 diesel. Joyous hollydays Eric and Lisa !
Man it’s been a long time since a locomotive count video I’m excited for an up to date video! I’m happy to see that you’re just showing your new engines over the past two years, I’ve watched your locomotive counts a couple of times now.
Yow, that is one giant locomotive collection! There are some very interesting engines there that you don't see too often. Hopefully, you will get a few on the layout in future videos. Excellent video, as always. Have a great Holiday Season.
Thanks for making it easy to live vicariously through you with great content that lets us experience these amazing trains without spending 1 billion dollars.
Very cool Eric. I think if I had my S gauge collection on display and not mostly boxed up in my walkin closet. I’d probably be in trouble once my wife realized how big my collection is.🤣
Eric, thanks for sharing. Great video! BTW I like hi-hood diesels best and would love to see any Monon, SP&S or NP. The original NP mainline runs through my town and I can watch BNSF trains go by from my kitchen window. Once again, thanks for sharing your fabulous collection with us.
You do have a very impressive collection Eric, I'm just curious what do you do for a living that allows you to have that extra cash to purchase engines for your collection
Ive been watching your videos since i was 10 or 11 years old. Im a lifetime fan and ill continue watching every video you put out, Eric! Can't wait to see the vision line GS review as well as the new CSA brass hybrid challengers. I wonder if they pull 5 plus pounds like every other lionel steamer these days. Lol
Hallo Eric. I know it's a little early but anyway. Merry Christmast to you and Lisa from Denmark. I really love your unboxing and driving video's. I'm an HO guy my self, but have always been facinated by the bigger gaugets. You have a beauterfull layout thou it seems to me that it isen't build for actuel trainoperetions but more as a display for all your wonderfull trains. Do I have a point or am I wrong. So where do you go to operate trains. Are you a member of a club. Keep up the videos, they're great. Greetings from Denmark
Hey Eric will we ever get an updated review of the coors light train I absolutely love seeing it in these engine counts and would love to learn about it
I have the MTH SNCF French line going around the Christmas tree/village with the MTH Super Chief Set in the yard. Wish I could get my E94 Crocodile out but that won’t fit the radius of the turns around the Christmas Tree 😢
Great video eric i really like ur videos. ive been looking to get into model trains and i just want to know do you need a specif rail part to make the model run?
Maybe people who think you’re showing off should work harder and invest! Everyone, just be happy you get free content from a person that’s puts in 110% effort into every video posted on top of his personal life! Eric, why did you go Mach E over Tesla? Any regrets? I’m looking at the Mach E or a CPO Etron GT for my next commuter. Personally Teslas are everywhere now so I want to be different. Also, I’m sure parts are available from Ford and Audi vs Tesla if the car was ever in an accident.
I really don’t have that many postwar trains that are in good condition. I have some rolling stock and some passenger cars and a few engines but nothing spectacular or noteworthy
u are my childhood person whom i watch from childhood i wish if i one train set but i dont have any set i am not from america but i am from india they are so much expensive for us :(
I can see there are plenty of railfans in India given the number of videos from there I've seen. It appears there are little or no Indian Railways models being commercially produced though. Almost all of the IR models I have seen on TH-cam are scratch-built of cardboard, with some building powered locomotives and even trackwork+switches this way (example, 'BumBin Creative' ). Hopefully one day India's growing middle class will allow a domestic model train industry to arise there.
As always the MTH European trains really stand out. Those were some of their finest works at the time and probably still are even today. It’s a shame they weren’t really appreciated by us here or the Europeans apparently.
Eric, Also seriously interested in the B&O Ingersoll Rand Boxcab from MTH, one on my long time "hunt list". If you ever want to let it go, I'm a very serious buyer.
eric I have quite a few engines my self. not as many as you but, maybe guessing around 200. I have not ran some in over two years. what engine of yours if you had to guess has sat and not been run in years? there has to be one at least😊
Hi, Eric love your video and more power to you if you couldn't afford the collection that you have. I think it's great just a question on your display cases. Your locomotive seemed to fit just right in there. Are you building the width of these display cases? Just to whatever you can fit in a certain area. Or you building it to the sizes of your collection, just curious. Have a great day. Joe
Extraordinary impressive locomotive collection very extraordinary collection, Eric you are a very impressive guy very knowlegible train expert 👍🏻✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
Have you done a review of the Third Rail #9001 Kras Mafi ? Third Rail virtually has no social media presence, a website that looks like something from the late 90s.
So you must be independently wealthy? Would need access to Fort Knox to cover the cost of all these toys? I was just comparing Lionel catalog prices, 2020 vs. 2023. There locomotive prices seem to be up an average of 36 percent over the course of the last 3 years. What will we see, next year?
He was dead. I got rid of him later that day. It's funny how viewers always notice things I don't, even though I've probably watched this video at least 10 times in the last few days.
People don’t understand when you don’t have other habits, such as smoking or drinking, or other hobbies, or habits for that matter, you have money for specific hobbies. Obviously, you collect knives as well as trains. We don’t see you smoking or drinking so I’m guessing that’s probably money in your pocket. It really all comes down to priorities. We all have some sort of hobby. You dedicate the money where you want it to go. Great job on the inventory. Quick question, can I use the power supply and track from my wine chief set to run the Menards engine?
How can you possibly play with all those engines? I would think after a couple dozen there would be examples never on the tracks. You speak of your collection as inventory. That’s odd.
Some trains certainly get run more than others, but that doesn't mean I appreciate them any less. When you get a large collection, it becomes "inventory" in a sense because you have to have a way to keep it all organized and accounted for. All my locomotives are added to a spreadsheet so that I can keep accurate track of them for my sake and also for insurance purposes. I'm in the process of "inventorying" my rolling stock into a spreadsheet for the same reason. If you don't keep track of what you have, you lose track of what you have. It's just one of the duties that comes with having a large collection.
Video Notes:
1. Some viewers noticed that a roach (dead) made a cameo at 9:10. Haha
Even roaches like playing with trains!
@Ericstrains I absolutely love the videos you have a beautiful collection 💜
Actually, the short answer is "Yes."
OMG!! That's a VERY impressive collection of locomotives!! You're the king of the Rails Eric!!
That's quite a collection Eric! I always wondered, collectors like you must carry a rider on their home owners insurance in case of a catastrophic event. Is this something you carry?

Great collection Eric.
120-130 is nothing to sneeze at. Keep it up!
Good for you Eric. It’s your money spend it how you see fit. Awesome collection.

I really thought I was in need of an intervention. I have 200 engines and you dwarf my collection by 300 units. Wow
Nice collection.
