Johnathan you need to come check out Hidden Valley In Missouri amazing vibes all sorts of unique things super small and super fun. Plz reply i would love to rip with u and have a sick day. I just Highly recommend it. Thanks 🙏
Coming from another guy who grew up on paja, when it's good, it's legendary. And a lot of the longer more windy runs are on the ends which close first during the season. But there are a lot of amazing hidden gems in the trees and some of the most legendary tree runs I've ever done (also worked at Taos ski valley for a while) and some nice cliffs. I know it's a small mountain and I get why you would go there closing week. But if you ever do go back, make sure you go on a good day, you will have a blast
Absolutely love your vids man. As an avid ski Santa Fe rider, some years they do have a much better terrain park than others. Some years they don't have it at all and others they have some jumps, rails, and boxes. Just an fyi :) Keep up the great work on your videos man! Keep evolving!
By the way Johnathon I’m surprised I’m the only person here but I wanted to let u know they added a pretty basic small park there are two small jumps and a box that I saw beginner too expert skiers and snowboarders so I think u should come back u would probably improve it to around a 3 much love ❤
@@dhpug3014 ya I was on a lift with a ski patrol guy on Monday and he said that they wanted to add some much bigger ramps hopefully by next Monday cause they are supposed to get a large amount of snow by then and he also said that the snow making had to stop because they have a limit but quite literally at 12:01 Jan 1st they are going to start an insane amount of snow making on the upper mountain so it should be open by mid January which is lit
@@LandonzzzZ oh dope thanks for the info man! I don’t go to Santa Fe as much cause Taos is just better but I’m looking forward to hitting my home mountain asap
I love skiing there because of its proximity to Santa Fe. My wife isn't a skier, so we can do non-ski stuff as well as ski (and I like that, too). Also, in getting to the resort, what I love is the Ski Bus from downtown. Just $5 and you get that back when you buy something at the restaurant. As someone noted below, best food/drink is on the mountain.
Under rated scenic view!!!! And under rated terrain park !! You went to early or you didn’t go to the actual terrain park. New Mexico definitely has great scenic views. But other wise great video. To each his own.
Dude the town of Santa Fe is a world class travel destination that is probably the main reason there aren't hotels at the ski area. Why would you stay up there and miss out on the incredible restaurants, art, history, culture, architecture of the city of Santa Fe. People want to stay in Santa Fe and drive up to the ski area.
VIDEO IDEA 💡- Pro snowboarder takes beginner lessons. The idea is that the instructor will think they’re teaching a beginner, toy with him/her a bit, and then boom, you’re a better rider than they are.
Ernie Blake founder of Taos first founded SF ski area. It has some of the best tree skiing. Not a boarder so the parks are not of any importance to me. I’m a local and it’s my go to area.

they actually brought back their terrain parks this season! been getting robbed on the snow side, but it's nice to have some features
Thinking about going there next weekend, im in Ruidoso and ski apache has almost no snow. How good are the terrain parks right now?
@@shviole there's only 2 jumps a box and a rail, supposedly they're building an advanced park on the upper mountain once it opens.

They are also planning on building a more advanced park on the run cornice when we get enough snow to maybe bring it up to a 5

It’s a great place for beginners too. A lot of variety on runs

Just a heads up, they now have a decently sized terrain park on gayway
Great little ski area, truth on the rock impact..... i call them booby traps. Gnarly trees and views alike .... snow conditions are variable 😮😊
