Completely agree. Hes tearing people down, just because its not directed at someone doesnt mean its not rude. Johnathon, still time to delete this video.
Who am I tearing down? I am talking about trends. Saying the trend of wearing pajamas on the mountain is getting old is not gatekeepering. It’s a trend that has blown up over the last two years and will probably die soon. 🤷🏼♂️ I don’t see the point of deleting a video because people disagree also lol
I saw this older guy chain up his skis while he went into the lodge. He said he had his skis get stolen once. I guess chaining your gear up is one way to solve that.
I am the speaker guy i just get requests i think it’s chill and i always turn it down on like a 4 person lift. There is a difference between blasting it on the lift and blasting it in the park.
Gear may not make you better rider, but does help you reach a different level if you put in the work. It also helps you accentuate your style of riding.
Nah those onesies are amazing😂 but about the gear heads I completely agree, You can get great thrifted deals: right now I have a 12 y/o trifted ski boots, and multiple pairs of skis, but all trifted(like different purposes carve all mountain powders ect.). Spend like 350+250 bucks for 3 sets of ski's, and a gifted pair of poles by patrol. -black diamond factor 130 boots(am on the heavy side at 94kg muscle)(50) -atomic vantage 83(140) -atomic aerospeed gsc(10+16 public transport) -elan ripstick 106(150) New liner Wax and grinding set And cheap soles(for now) AliExpress baskets for the gabel poles(aluminum and carbon) Works flawlessly, soo yes I recommend trifting if you know what to look for

I have 2 daisy chained jbl clips attached to me. I turned it down when in line and on the lift. But I always thought it was better for special awareness safety. You can hear me coming and hopefully avoid making sharp turns into me while I’m cruising/ trying to pass. I always knew I’d be annoying to some, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.
Situation on spraying: a group of boarders stopped and sat in the middle of the run. Another boarder had to brake/stop immediately, otherwise he would've crashed into them. The result, he sprayed the living jesus out of them.
if people are camping in the middle of a blue/black theyre getting sprayed (go to the edge to chill) and if theyre having a tough time they shouldnt be on those runs at all lol im not messing with ppl on greens though, thats different.

Enjoyed the video. Thanks for taking time to post.
Not drinking on the mtn should definitely be on this list dealing with drunk riders sucks. Then they drive home 👏👏
love the content, hope to see you on the hill this year
daaaamn dude stealing boards has BEEN a problem. All over most mountains. i actually bring 2 boards for that reason. if one comes up missing, i will be real mad, but it wont end my day.
I saw someone absolutely SHREDDING in an inflatable dinosaur costume, and it was FS the funniest thing I've ever seen!
Don’t forget to add the mustache to your list.. 😉
MFM had a whole video part of spraying random skiiers
1:45 don't spray people.. spray skiers!!! LOL
🤣😂
Keep your fashion trends to yourself man, saying people shouldn't wear this takes peoples self confidence away. Not to mention the amount of people you have under influence.
this whole video is pure “old man yells at cloud” vibes 😂
Some kid yelled "hey you look like skibidi toilet" from the lift.... had to look up what that was. Now i know about skibidi toilet. Worst day of my life.
Man, I agree 99% with you... Because bright/neon colors are still ultra cool to me 😂. Apart from that, yes, let's work together as a community to make snowboarding better, we need more people enjoying this sport! Cheers, and happy 2025 😉
Haha, I’ve actually wanted to try the turtle butt just to try it! 😂
I just got some SnowFeet for Christmas, and they were a lot of fun!! I’d love to see you do a video on them if you haven’t already.
We used to smoke cigarettes while skiing in the 1990s
Johnathan I love the content. Going from gatekeeping to saying onesies need is stop is a choice tho. Dressing up to be stoked on the hill is cool imho. 🤙
Heck yeah brother 🤙🏼
I think somethin we gotta stop doing is hating on the other sport. Can’t we just recognize that both skiing AND snowboarding kick equal ass? I love to get along with people and just have fun hanging out with someone on the mountain!
Love the backpack speaker guy if it’s a chill guy jus havin a good time with good music at a good volume, that’s the sole exception, I’ve only met two
Lol "don't gatekeep but NO ONESIES!"
Hey! Loved the video- ima skier but totally related to a bunch of your examples ! Thank you! 😊
"Don't gate keep"
Proceeds to gatekeep snowboarding by telling people he thinks these things are lame. (And multiple cut into his bottom line.)
gatekeeping is an absolute necessity to preserve integrity of any institution. if it's too hot, get out of the kitchen
Completely agree. Hes tearing people down, just because its not directed at someone doesnt mean its not rude. Johnathon, still time to delete this video.
I don’t see your point at all 😂 having an opinion on trends is not gate keeping.
This mindset is always funny to me 😂
Yoooooooooo this gatekeeping thing is real. Messing up the good vibes.
Right!!
Lowkey love onesies on the slopes. Its awesome to see a shark or penguin among a sea of black coats
What pads do you wear under your gear?
The first two aren't 'trends'. They are just things we do to Buckhouse.😘
Nah those onesies are amazing😂
but about the gear heads I completely agree,
You can get great thrifted deals:
right now I have a 12 y/o trifted ski boots, and multiple pairs of skis, but all trifted(like different purposes carve all mountain powders ect.). Spend like 350+250 bucks for 3 sets of ski's, and a gifted pair of poles by patrol.
-black diamond factor 130 boots(am on the heavy side at 94kg muscle)(50)
-atomic vantage 83(140)
-atomic aerospeed gsc(10+16 public transport)
-elan ripstick 106(150)
New liner
Wax and grinding set
And cheap soles(for now)
AliExpress baskets for the gabel poles(aluminum and carbon)
Works flawlessly, soo yes I recommend trifting if you know what to look for
Yo dude I just watched one of your videos where you learned the snowboard making process. That was super sick and this video is also super sick! Glad I found your channel!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🏂🏂🌊
I started snowboarding as a kid in the late 90s and I’ve always worn a bandana to protect my face .
Clew makes Burton step-ons look like Malcolm X
😂
Is that James Corden in the yellow at 0:37? tell me that doesn't look like James Corden, I'm not crazy right?
Got no trends where I am riding (small Swiss resort) so this was interesting and entertaining. Thanks.
This entire video just shows what a good dude you are. Let’s go jb
Had to ride up a lift with two teenage girls with a speaker blaring absolute garbage last season. Hope resorts start banning them.
That really sucks; thats why I blast good music way louder
Says “gear doesn’t matter.” Yet next 3 trends dealt directly to gear.
I’d say one of the absolute worst trends would be to tell yourself and others you’re pro. I hate that
Well keep hating it because it’s never going away as I keep stacking sponsorships 😏
You’re not wrong about the bad trends but you are hypocritical to say don’t do it but in the same video say let the people be themselves and have fun. Who care what they wear. Or how they talk? Just sayin
Johnathan: Stop gate keeping and talking other people down.
Also Johnathan: don't wear goofy clothes cause i don't like it! Don't talk in goofy ways cause I don't like it!
😅 let people wear/speak how they like!
Funny vid though. Two thumbs up. Gnarly brah!
Idk man, snow bro talk always brings positive vibes
For me it’s the tool bags that are blasting R&B pop garbage down the mountain.
Great advice from someone that is trying convince people to buy clew bindings
5:50 does not count for me because i board in austria lmao, great vid btw haha
I like that evolution merch is listed as a chapter in this video lol
#1 message in this video is - KEEP IT POSITIVE! Encourage everyone you can, no matter their ability. I'm so stoked on someone learning, whether a total beginner or just learning a new trick.
100% man!!!
You can't take the bro out of the man bro
Yeah bro man
the turtle butts are fun but your right crash pads are much more practical and useful and the onsie's are more of a kid thing in my personal oppinion
Near the end on how North Americans boarders speak, thats how we over this side of the pond think exactly how you speak😂
Do what ever you like, wear what ever you want since you don’t bother anyone that’s my honest opinion, and adults deserve also to have fun and not get judged.
That stash is a trend that should go back the to 80's where it came from 😬
I agree exept the onesies, it is so much fun with friends
Okay as a snowboard park rat i absolutely do talk “like that”. It’s just how i speak not to like the full extent that you described but i def do say stuff like “YEW”, and i overuse any word like bro or dude etc.
wtf dude you talk about gatekeeping then roast on onesies? People can wear onesies if they want
Getting heckled by someone on the lift after rolling/sliding 30 ft down the mountain is funny as hell.
Trust me, it's happened to me.
gotta love the people who are having fun, I dont mind speakers, getting sprayed, or any of it, could be because i dont see many folks on the skin tracks. Now dont get me started on granola trends.
I enjoy both Riding and Skiing.I dislike Boarders booting in at choke points after dismountiing the chairlift. The Slope is a shared experience.Cheers,Walker
id say the push on clew bindings by influencers gotta be on the list.
Shoutouts to the people out there wearing onesies for the ultimate rizz.
Chair lift heckling is my spirit animal.
I do it, I find it hilarious when people do it to me...
Shit's fun.
I wish we could go back to the time before social media and influencers snowboarded.
Situation on spraying: a group of boarders stopped and sat in the middle of the run. Another boarder had to brake/stop immediately, otherwise he would've crashed into them. The result, he sprayed the living jesus out of them.
#1 should be that stash
Come on 😂 Its super trendy! LOL
@@JohnathanBuckhouse your rock it dude, I think it looks great.
@JohnathanBuckhouse it looks great ma dude
The stache must stay
@@JohnathanBuckhouse 1970's porn star stash😂
if people are camping in the middle of a blue/black theyre getting sprayed (go to the edge to chill) and if theyre having a tough time they shouldnt be on those runs at all lol im not messing with ppl on greens though, thats different.
🤣😂
just started learning !! i need all the hype i can get that's what makes you wanna go all in !! you have to hype some people up ! not so much they catch that edge though. lol
Awesome video as usual...
I need new boots, but just scored some Cartel X bindings for my old deck from the 90s.... now to find the right boots... i dont fit my Morrow e3 step ins any more, but my son does, so that's a bonus...
Cheers
After disagree on a lot of this video part of snowboarding is the expression of yourself and it seems like you want everyone to be a cookie cutter onesies and all that wacky shit are fun
I just got back into snowboarding. Is my old K2FatBob fairly safe from being stolen? 😂
