I've said it before, but I'll say it again - I've been a teacher/instructor for nearly forty years (Languages/PADI scuba/Photography) and Malcolm is one of the finest I've encountered; no fluff, to the point, clear and concise. I'm a decent snowboarder too (if a bit old...), but it was Malcolm's lessons I showed my daughters last year on their first snowboard trip, and they went from noobs to carving turns in four days. They enjoyed themselves so much, we are off again in March, and this is just one of his vids we will concentrate on to improve their (and my!) technique. Thanks Malcolm, you're a star!
I am 52 years old beginner, meaning that I’ve been snowboarding for 3 years now (basically 3 weeks), with no previous experience of any winter sport, and I’ve been following your videos since the beginning. One thing I found incredibly helpful this week, was to visualise your turns as if you were actually in front of me while I was riding. My turns were still far from perfect, but I was getting closer and closer. So now I watch all the clips from behind again and again and again to memorise them and re-play them in my mind when I ride. Is it just me? Can this be helpful for someone else?
I'm happy I discovered your videos from the start and got past the skidding phase in a week or 2. You got me S-carving a steep black 3 months after i first got on a board 😊
For everyone practicing these wide turns, look up the slope on each turn. People don't expect you to ride across. A quick glance will save you from bad collisions.
Then they aren’t paying attention. Yes, you should be aware as the downhill rider, but if you are making consistent turns it should be expected your next move is a consistent turn. It is the responsibility of the uphill rider to be aware of how the people downhill from them are riding and avoid them while passing.
@@cloudcityfilms That is true that it is the responsibility of the uphill rider. However, it does not save you from collisions. My own sad experience and of a few of my friends with broken ribs and legs suggests that it is difficult for some people to predict your position when you ride across the slope. I wear spine protection and try to look up on every turn now :)
Thank you so much for this video! I am a beginner snowboarder, riding at Mont Tremblant this week. I really lost my confidence yesterday, I just kept catching edges and falling onto my knees (which are so bruised now!). But I watched your video last night and again this morning to get some tips, after only 1 cry on the mountain this morning, I managed 2 successful runs, really focusing on my S turns and my posture. It was so crazy I couldn’t believe I had done it! I was so ready to give up snowboarding yesterday, but your videos really changed that for me, and I can’t wait to get back on the slopes again!

So genuinely, thank you and please, please, PLEASE keep up the awesome work. It is aspirational to me as a snowboarder, teacher and photographer.
Hey wow thanks so much I really appreciate all that! Yeah there's lots of other factors to the videos which can sometimes be a pain like you said, the weather, the snow conditions, if the slopes are busy, if I'm not teaching and have time.....but I love it and it's a great lifestyle. Thanks again and have a great season!!!
Congrats on your second. Stuff like this will help you learn, and can be re-visited a few years from now when you start to get lazy. 🙃It happens to all of us after a few years. Malcom always sets us straight.
I have started snowboarding 1y ago, at the age of 33. I cannot describe how helpful your videos are to beginners. These are very complex fundamentals that you explain in a very simple and easy language/examples. Thank you so much and please keep them coming !
Another great video full of great advice. As a guy who learned to ride in the early 90's and is completely self-taught (we didn't have youtube then) I've learned a lot of bad habits and these videos are great at helping me unlearn them. I really like that Malcom does a good job of keeping the videos concise and straight to the point without being rushed or skipping any key points.
Watched different snowboard channels and educational videos but never have been able to translate them to my skills. Malcolm has great ability to explain things in such a way that you can understand and execute it by yourself. Going down blue runs used to be really taxing and exhausting exercise - mostly due to skidded turns, they take a lot of energy on steeper slopes, bumps and at higher speeds. Today I was blasting down blue runs with ease, almost no energy spent. S turns were shorter (the runs are quite narrow) but I felt like I stayed in complete control of my board at all times, it was super stable too! Thank you Malcolm for all the educational content!
You are a great coach, I have 8 days of boarding and practising your drills using my ista 360 to review. I have been S turning the blues. Still work to do on the red and blacks but I appreciate your content and will continue to watch.
I love how every season you talk about the importance of the shape of the curve, every time with added quality to your videos, I've learned so much from you over the year and I'm very thankful

You are a Nr.1 snowboard 🏂 teacher! Thank you! I was a skier but started to snowboard last winter. I live in the ski resort Hafjell. Thanks to your videos and my effort, I become a good intermediate snowboarder.👍
I usually ski but tried snowboarding for the first time after watching a whole bunch of your videos last year, determined to carve and not skid on my first day. It took a bit of time to get used to but I got it down pretty quickly thanks to your videos and running it through in my head many times before going! And it was so much fun!! I'm going back again this year and these videos are such a good reminder. Just wanted to say thanks for all your lessons and tips, excited to have another amazing time thanks to you!
Heads up on Malcolms course - I bought and completed it. Money well spent. For the price of 1 (maybe 1.5) private lessons you are getting weeks (months?) worth of instruction, which is honestly better than the private instruction I have paid for. For me the best part of the course is the systematic approach it takes. The destination (good snowboarding) is mapped out each step of the way which is the best approach to learning and developing a new skill (lecturer speaking).
Dropping this coz you have helped me progress and enjoy snowboarding more. Looking forward to enrolling in your in person lessons in the future. Thanks!
Your course is so well priced given the level of instruction! I imagine that was by design and you want to be able to give back and reach as many potential snowboarders. As a fellow instructor I do like to see people giving it back to people and passing on knowledge without taking advantage, good work man and keep it up, it’s great stuff
I have been watching your videos for 4yrs now. That is when I started snowboarding. I was frkn 33 when I started. North Carolina in the states. The ice coast, only has few wide open areas to let loose on some serious turns. We have a lot of trails that lead to open areas, and then back to holding on to your pants. I swear it makes us good riders. I went to Solden and was able to go down just about any run, even though it was way bigger than I have ever ridden. It all came from watching your videos and putting them into practice…and a year of learning how to fall down the mountain.
Ice sucks, unfortunately we get alot more of it here now with the yo-yoing temps, but it does make you a better rider that's for sure. Not really a silver lining I want though 😂
Malcom… I know TH-cam has an agorhythmic formula, but don’t worry too much about he data. You are a blessing to every snow-edge sport player out there. Thank you for the instruction!
Thank you for making better snowboarders with your excellent tutorials. Not only are S-turns way more fun (g-force in the apex of the turn) but it’s way safer than bombing down the hill barely in control and unable to react in an emergency situation.
Hi Malcolm, This is another awesome video lesson. You have to be the best snowboard instructor that I have come across - technical, clear and concise. Am always looking foward to your next vid. Cheers mate
Another great reminder to slow it down and practice the technique. Carving deep S turns on groomers is so much more satisfying than skidding down the mountain. The entire experience changes when you learn to trust the edge. Thanks for what you're doing, Malcolm!
Really appreciate your videos! I watch them throughout the season, and my snowboarding has gotten so much better, and I've had a blast doing it. Thank you!
Looking forward to apply the theory :) Taught myself how to get down the slope on a board, including all the errors and rookie mistakes, which are still mostly there after 10+ years. Skidding down the mountain? Yup that's me and it's holding me back. Broken both wrists and an elbow (on separate occasions) due to edge grabbing, which was the result of skidding. Thank you for the clear videos on how to improve. We'll get to the basic tricks eventually, let's start with getting those carved turned down and regain our self-esteem!
Hi, Malcolm! Unfortunately can't buy your course, but I wanted to thank you - I went from a complete rookie with burning feet (because of using too much calve muscles + bad posture) which eventually has led me to my first snowboard injury, to a calm, controlled and carved turns with which I gained sooo much confidence and sense of a board that it became to me something like riding a bycicle. Even after a long period of not snowboarding the second I get in straps - I feel the balance and I know the moves. And that is one the coolest feelings out there - as I said it's just like riding a bycicle - I feel myself free :D So thank you so much, you are realy an amazing teacher, and also rather creative with the ways to explain things. That's why every time I go snowboarding with friends first thing I do is I suggest them to watch a couple of your videos - they are truly a one of great ways to avoid actual traumas on slopes :D
i'm liking the haircut. i want that haircut! also i realize this is a refresher containing content you've covered before. have been watching your videos for years. but always appreciate a refresher! and EXCELLENT intro to your online course, without withholding information. this is a prime example of a teaser.
Thank you - your way of explaining breaks things down into precise steps, the video footage also allows me to see exactly what you mean - so much more helpful !! I have been watching videos as about to go snowboarding again for only the second time, I've had some basic lessons but am struggling to make consistent turns, this has helped me visualise what I need to do so much better ! cheers 🍻
Thank you Malcom I love how you reinvent teaching the basics with new perspectives on the methods involved which helps so much. I’m about 15 days into my riding (6 days last season) and one thing that really stuck with me from your videos is early edge changes! That kind of blew my mind and connected the dots in regard to following the nose of your board and why those two things create a good turn. Thanks again for all the hard work you put into your teachings and have a Merry Christmas !
Amazing video. I started last year and got pretty good but struggled with steeper powdery runs. I was definitely guilty of not doing proper S turns. Going back on Monday, I'll make sure to practice what was pointed in this video diligently :)
another very informative video. I wish more snowboarder would watch this and learn the lesson. Maybe then there would be less accidents on the slopes as boarders could actually turn out of the way of others, rather than trying to slidestop all the time!!! back in the day (10+years ago) I paid for more lessons to learn all this, even though I could get down the mountain fine and found it not only made life easier but made it more fun being able to tackle whatever the mountain threw at me.
Absolutely! Skidding can be an important tool, and in fact in previous videos I've taught the importance of a speed check, but learning to properly turn the board is incredibly rewarding too, and will only serve to offer you more control of your board!
Feb I’ll be in Rusutsu again for the first time boarding. I ski ,surf and skate I’m 57 and your vids are awesome cannot wait to put all this in action. Cheers Mal 🙏
Your videos have helped improve so much. I don't get to hit the slopes very often (moved from northeastern US to south), but I like to make the most of it when I do. Your lessons have helped me improve and finally keep up with my friends, thanks Malcolm!
I have always liked your videos, and I purchased the course as soon as I learned about it. However, due to my poor English skills, I am learning little by little by combining my understanding with the viewpoints from your previous videos. In short, you are doing great, thank you~
Ive snowboarding for years but i like how you break it down and get into detail. Only thing that's been stopping in going are the lines for the chairlift.
I watched your videos last season and continue to this season. I love your detailed explanations. Now that I am working at my local resort this season, I have more time to practice. Thank you!
Thanks for your content ! It's so helpfull ! Each time I go the the Alps, I watch your video, it's make my mind focus on what's important and how I can be better on my snowboard.
Great video! One important point that I did not hear was the importance of being aware of who is coming up behind you when you are making wide turns across the fall line. Sometimes the uphill skier/rider has the right of way
Yeah you should check uphill, I'm not going to mention this in every video I make but it's good advice. However the uphill skier doesn't have the right of way, but nonetheless you still don't want to be crashed into, so it's still worth doing.
Watching your videos ahead of my last trip in Feb '24 lead to me having a revelation - I think I have been almost there with the s-turns for a few years but when coming round on to my heel edge I was actually getting my hips/weight too much behind the board a-la 7:10, then on steeper sections of Red pistes I'd get hung up in that position looking for my line to make the turn back onto my toe edge. Being tall, now mid -forties, overweight and not strong enough I'd skid out or even my legs would give way if I hit a bump, and I'd end up sat down-often at some speed! Thanks to understanding gained from your videos I found I could finish the turn into my heel edge with my hips and mass only slightly behind the centre of the board and immediately commit to the next edge change into the toe edge turn by subtly shifting my weight back forward, suddenly the line choices became easy, my legs didn't tire and I was hitting the steeper pitches faster and in more control than ever. Looking forward to a week in La Plagne next month!
No more words than just „it’s the best instructor on yt”. I love how u telling about technic, what is important and how u show awesome drills. I bought urs course, for more knowledge? For sure, but mostly just to support ur awesome free of charge yt work. Hope to get some real life lesson from u one day :)
I watch your videos frequently and they have really helped me. You are an excellent teacher. I feel that I fully understand what I am supposed to do but I have trouble “trust falling” my weight into turns and getting really low. Hopefully the more comfortable I get and the harder my turns get I will find it easier and easier. I am extremely happy with my turns on green and blue trails but on steeper terrain I still lose grip a little and I’m certain that I need to move my center of mass quicker and get lower. Maybe this would be a good topic for a future video?
Malcolm hands down nobody can explain it like you do. Much appreciated. I have a question for you, what is the best binding angle and board type for training s curves?
Great video Malcolm, awesome teaching. Would love to grab you for another lesson soon! I think also skidding is more dangerous as you’re less aware generally on how to control yourself, and later in the day the runs are churned and mogulled which means you’re super unstable and likely to chatter an edge or catch on a bump. From experience haha.
Your videos have been massively superior to all others here on TH-cam when it comes to understanding the fundamentals of snowboarding. Thank you Malcom!! Edit: glad to see every single other comment here is saying the exact same thing! :)
Hey Malcolm, have you made a video on riding a slope that turns (so where the fall line is not completely inline with direction of the slope)? Im trying to get a better understanding of S-turns in this context. Love the content mate!
Hey, thanks for the video!!! Could you make a video about the boots? At least, about how we should feel our feet when snowboarding. How the correct fit should feel like. I think that choosing the boots is the most important thing in the equipment. Also because of the "rented wrong boots" beginners doesn't enjoy snowboarding and thinks that that's what it is. If you get what I mean.
I've been watching you for a long time, and I have to say your lessons for begginers and in generall how to snowboard are really good and have a lot of detail to them. But I've been snowboarding for 15 years and I wouldn't call carving the only proper way to do it. Depends on situation, place you're at, what's ahead of you, and most importantly what gives one the most ammount of fun. Afterall we do it for pleasure, and everyone has a different taste
Not necessarily just carving, I just meant more S turns as a whole. At least some vague shape to the turn. But yes having fun is the most important thing, I actually made a previous video with that as the main point, and I've also acknowledged that sometimes skidding is a useful tool and it too has its place. No movement is necessarily bad within snowboarding so try not to take an individual video as the complete be all and end all of how to snowboard, each video is instead moreso just me trying to persuade a point, and in this one I'm just trying to get people to discover the joy of turning! And of course, everyone is still free to do whatever they want, I love watching some of the other guys on TH-cam doing completely different things to this. Some of the ground trick stuff coming out now is awesome, so yeah, pick and choose how you want to ride and who you want to follow, I'm just offering another style for anyone who wants it ✌️
Your Vid is 100% on point! S turns is the best when i start to go to fast. and don't want the board to go and run its course. Even so, straight slopes are the true horror now for me now days 😅😅
I've been on the mtn for 3 seasons in the SE and I most definitely do the rudder style snowboarding, here I was thinking I was pretty decent at boarding too. looks like I've still got lots to learn.
I think that the simplest way to break this down is explaining what edge control is. Understanding the concept of witch edge needs to be facing uphill and in what direction. If you understand how the edges work when riding your snowboard and the mechanics behind it. that a lone will unlock so much more for your riding.
I'm still new to the sport. I've gone about 7 times this season hoping to get a couple more in this week I'm off. But let me just say this I still have issue with chatter on groomed slopes however if in full powder or even some good snow on the slopes I have no issues carving at all. I swear it's just the groomed bits I have troubles with.
Love you videos, thanks Malcolm. Could you please consider showing us how you properly use these techniques in more challenging terrain? I feel like I'm a strong rider and can perform these turns well on groomed runs, but when I'm in steep tree runs like we have here in western Canada, I have trouble riding them with good style.
Hahaha right? Where are the tutorials for perfect carving in the conditions you encounter 90% of the time in real life?! Most people can hold an edge fine in perfect conditions… problem here is that conditions are rarely perfect after people have skied/ridden the run a few times. I think some degree of skidding is unavoidable in suboptimal snow. If you hit a small bump while carving, it can make your edge slip and you can easily fall and hurt yourself. I try to just play it by ear, getting carved turns if the snow allows, otherwise I’ll skid and speed check when needed. Also, I think leg and core fitness is a huge factor that is rarely talked about on TH-cam. These guys act like if you just do this one drill or change this tiny thing you’ll be carving blacks easily 😂
Even on the subjects I "know", your videos are useful. You'll word something slightly different to just reinforce certain ideas. And if nothing else, it gives me confidence in the instructors I get lessons from. Second video this summer (Southern Hemisphere makes Snowboard videos make me sad) on things I was working on over the season. And second to give the "yay, I was doing something right" feeling. Also: I think you might upset a whole generation of instagram snowboarders with this. 😂
I feel that skidding is more instinctive and that's why most people do it. I see it often with young guys going fast down the hill, but they're not really in control, abruptly stopping and turning. Going to learn S-turn carving this season to see if it makes any difference. Thanks!
Skidding does work on groomed slopes, and you can get from A to B very fast, but when you start engaging the sidecut of the board, honestly it is so much fun!
Thank you for an amazing video once again, seriously considering buying your online course! I've had a about a 25 year (I'm 40 now) break from snowboarding, but came back to it last season. As a kid I had no idea about carving or S-turns, just skidding down. Now I'm really just into getting my carving good but I have a problem. Even when I try to traverse across the slope, doing a pencil thin line I don't get the edge to grip. When I look back at my line I can see there is some skidding. I've tried to angle the board more, so far on the toe edge that I fall to my knees. I'm sure it has to do with technique, I doubt it could be because of dull edges or something else with the board?
I've said it before, but I'll say it again - I've been a teacher/instructor for nearly forty years (Languages/PADI scuba/Photography) and Malcolm is one of the finest I've encountered; no fluff, to the point, clear and concise.

Thank you for making better snowboarders with your excellent tutorials. Not only are S-turns way more fun (g-force in the apex of the turn) but it’s way safer than bombing down the hill barely in control and unable to react in an emergency situation.
Thank you so much!! 😊😊
Hi Malcolm,
This is another awesome video lesson.
Absolutely!
Malcolm, great content as always! Can't wait to try this out in Les Arc next week!
Thankyou, very much appreciated ✌️
Hi, Malcolm! Unfortunately can't buy your course, but I wanted to thank you - I went from a complete rookie with burning feet (because of using too much calve muscles + bad posture) which eventually has led me to my first snowboard injury, to a calm, controlled and carved turns with which I gained sooo much confidence and sense of a board that it became to me something like riding a bycicle. Even after a long period of not snowboarding the second I get in straps - I feel the balance and I know the moves. And that is one the coolest feelings out there - as I said it's just like riding a bycicle - I feel myself free :D
So thank you so much, you are realy an amazing teacher, and also rather creative with the ways to explain things. That's why every time I go snowboarding with friends first thing I do is I suggest them to watch a couple of your videos - they are truly a one of great ways to avoid actual traumas on slopes :D
Awesome, thanks for sharing, sounds like you're doing awesome, keep going and you'll only get better! 👊
i'm liking the haircut. i want that haircut! also i realize this is a refresher containing content you've covered before. have been watching your videos for years. but always appreciate a refresher! and EXCELLENT intro to your online course, without withholding information. this is a prime example of a teaser.
Came to rewatch some of your old videos as preseason prep and happy to see you're still making super helpful videos. You're the best boarding coach!
Ah thanks so much 😍😍
Thank you - your way of explaining breaks things down into precise steps, the video footage also allows me to see exactly what you mean - so much more helpful !! I have been watching videos as about to go snowboarding again for only the second time, I've had some basic lessons but am struggling to make consistent turns, this has helped me visualise what I need to do so much better ! cheers 🍻
Brilliant I'm glad you find them useful 😊✌🏽
Thank you Malcom I love how you reinvent teaching the basics with new perspectives on the methods involved which helps so much. I’m about 15 days into my riding (6 days last season) and one thing that really stuck with me from your videos is early edge changes! That kind of blew my mind and connected the dots in regard to following the nose of your board and why those two things create a good turn. Thanks again for all the hard work you put into your teachings and have a Merry Christmas !
Awesome to hear, and merry Christmas to you too!
Perfect time to drop a vid! Going to to the mountain in a couple of hours!
You rock, Malcolm!
Same here, I've been watching Malcom all summer long, I can't wait to start practicing my S turns in couple hours !
Nice, enjoy!!!
Amazing video. I started last year and got pretty good but struggled with steeper powdery runs. I was definitely guilty of not doing proper S turns.
Going back on Monday, I'll make sure to practice what was pointed in this video diligently :)
Malcolm you are the best teacher on TH-cam. Thought I would let you know
another very informative video.
Absolutely awesome. And yeah, once in rough snow, this technique is by far the best ! Now way you can evolve gently in deep puff when scrapping. ,💪😎
Thanks!
Thank you so much!!!! Really appreciate it 😍😍
Great, been following you a year now. You learned me snowboarding and expanding my mindset and understanding how and what to do
Your videos have helped improve so much. I don't get to hit the slopes very often (moved from northeastern US to south), but I like to make the most of it when I do. Your lessons have helped me improve and finally keep up with my friends, thanks Malcolm!
You're welcome 🤗🤗 thanks so much!
Sweet! Super helpful for beginners like me to understand the logic and mechanism behind for a proper turn.
Great to hear, that was exactly the intention of this video!
I have always liked your videos, and I purchased the course as soon as I learned about it. However, due to my poor English skills, I am learning little by little by combining my understanding with the viewpoints from your previous videos. In short, you are doing great, thank you~
Thankyou, I hope the course helps and you can work through it despite English not being your first language!
Ive snowboarding for years but i like how you break it down and get into detail. Only thing that's been stopping in going are the lines for the chairlift.
Yeah I hear you, luckily where I am, outside of holidays it's not too busy, but during that period it can be chaos 😊
I watched your videos last season and continue to this season. I love your detailed explanations. Now that I am working at my local resort this season, I have more time to practice. Thank you!
Bro, Iv seen ALOT of videos. This was by far the best. This is what Iv been looking for. Thanks
Glad to hear it!
Thanks for your content ! It's so helpfull ! Each time I go the the Alps, I watch your video, it's make my mind focus on what's important and how I can be better on my snowboard.
You're welcome 🤗🤗
As an ex-snowboarding instructor I approve of this message.
Great technique, great reasoning… Well done 👏
Thanks so much 🙏🏽😊😊
Love that analogy of gravity being a string at your belly button! Really helps me understand what it should feel like. Another great video!
Yes! Thank you!
Great video like always Malcome :). The amount of ppl I see skid turning amazes me.
Thanks 👍
Nice, that's great to hear! We've good early season conditions right now, so hopefully the snow keeps coming for you next month!
No more words than just „it’s the best instructor on yt”. I love how u telling about technic, what is important and how u show awesome drills. I bought urs course, for more knowledge? For sure, but mostly just to support ur awesome free of charge yt work. Hope to get some real life lesson from u one day :)
Many many thanks, much appreciated ✌️
Merci Malcolm pour ces explications toujours très clairs et plutôt simple à mettre en pratique 💪💪
So beautiful footage always. In beautifull Saas-Fee ❤
Hope to see you on the mountain there end of January 🤘🏼
Yeah Saas Fee is stunning!
I'm in France in January teaching for the season. Enjoy your trip!
Amazing explanation with simple instructions to master carving. Thanks!
Your videos are amazing Malcom! And this new editing with you talking on the top corner is really cool! thanks so much for sharing your knowledge 🙏
Hey Malcolm, have you made a video on riding a slope that turns (so where the fall line is not completely inline with direction of the slope)? Im trying to get a better understanding of S-turns in this context. Love the content mate!
Man, Corey did such a great job on that board. It's still just as beautiful
Agreed!
I love those camera angles from the back a lot. Makes a lot more sense in my opinion. Great video once again!
Great, so happy you liked it 😊😊
Hey, thanks for the video!!!
Some of the ground trick stuff coming out now is awesome, so yeah, pick and choose how you want to ride and who you want to follow, I'm just offering another style for anyone who wants it ✌️
Great video Malcolm. The mountain where you take the video has always been gorgeous. And all your videos have been very superb.
Many thanks, this one was filmed in Switzerland a few weeks ago, but now most of my videos will be filmed where I live in France 👍
Your Vid is 100% on point! S turns is the best when i start to go to fast. and don't want the board to go and run its course. Even so, straight slopes are the true horror now for me now days 😅😅
Thanks, Malcolm! Heading up to the mountains next week and this was a great refresher.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks a lot Malcolm. Your videos are the most clear and concise.
Glad you like them!
I've been on the mtn for 3 seasons in the SE and I most definitely do the rudder style snowboarding, here I was thinking I was pretty decent at boarding too. looks like I've still got lots to learn.
Your videos really helped me to progress as an early intermediate snowboarder, thanks❤
Watching these turns is so relaxing
This was a great description for all ranges of riders from beginners to advance .
Glad you liked it ☺️☺️
Your videos are very helpful! It is always interesting to watch some before starting the season. Thank you !
You're welcome 🤗
You are the man! Love watching your videos!
I appreciate that!
I think that the simplest way to break this down is explaining what edge control is. Understanding the concept of witch edge needs to be facing uphill and in what direction. If you understand how the edges work when riding your snowboard and the mechanics behind it. that a lone will unlock so much more for your riding.
Great teacher👏Thank you. Have a perfect season!
Thank you! You too!!
Hello thwre Malcom!
I greatly appreciate your content. Thank you so much and good luck out there
thanks, skidded turns without actual purpose are a great way to catch an edge, holding and edge through turns is much safer.
You are the best, love the way you use basic physics to explain snowboarding
I appreciate that!
So easy to follow and very easy to send to the Mrs so she can get up to speed...and carry more speed confidently
This is the best boarding tutorial!! So valuable
TYSM 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Unbelievably clear and concise thank you
Thanks so much! 😊😊
Going snowboarding tomorrow for the first time in 3 years, super excited to work on improving my skills
One of the best tutorials I've ever seen!
Thanks, I put some effort into trying to get all this info into that short a video!
This is what I needed, thanks!! Hi, from Australia!!
Thanks 😊😊
Needed this video..I've been rubbish all week and this video nails why...
You got it 👊
Thank you for an amazing video once again, seriously considering buying your online course!
Thank you. Aloha from Hawaii🤙🏽
Aloha!
Great as always Malcom. Will be rewatching a lot come March! 🏂
Epic! Best road map for turning & controlling speed! ThankS so much big M. S is best!
🙌
One of your best videos! Thanks for the great content.
It's all downhill from here haha, but nah, thanks, I appreciate it 🙌
Skidding is also extremely hard on your snowboard. It'll quickly wear the sides of the base and easily put lots of abrasions on your edges.
