    Keep on doing videos man! European airsoft lovers need you all across the continent! TH-camrs talk too generally about airsoft, you on the contrary give numbers, examples, detailed descriptions of mechanical gear. Thats fundamental! Pleas do not give up!

    Great vid! i am glad i stumbled onto your channel. We have 1 to 1 similar views and understanding of the science of airsoft.
    I personally like to use the ML HotShot buckings and i am interested in you testing these for yourself. HotShot buckings allow use of GBB barrels in AEGs and i personally see a huge improvement in airseal and FPS consistency and range. would like to see you test the new silicone ColdShot buckings as ML calls them now.

    hi, mechanical engineer here :) let me start by saying that I love your scientific approach to things. I also read that you have health issues, it sucks....and i hope you will recover soon. I don't know if you'll ever come back, but in case i would love a video about rifled inner barrels ; i know that the dynamics of an airsoft projectile is different compared to a normal projectile, but my question is : a round bb under the magnus effect is more stable than a classic projectile spinning? what if a plastic bb with the shape of a classic projectile(the ones with the rounded head) and a rifled inner barrel is used?

    • @MegaChickenPunch
      @MegaChickenPunch 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it would have superrior accuracy but low range because nothing would lift the BB up. Remember we shoot with around 2J when normal weapons have like thousands of J.

    I had two lambda barrels and really hate them because of how sharp the window is. Actually I lost 3 buckings by those. Much better choice in my opinion i Da-Vinci Airsoft. I have also heard that Da-Vinci is on pair with PDI. Compating both, the quality is actually the same, but Da-Vinci has longer window. It's still a little too sharp but do not cut the bucking.
    Waiting for your shooting test :)

    Ur right, im working in the metal industry, I am a welder and fabricator as well, Every metal ( alloy and stainless steel even more) deforms by temperature, I think a simple steel tube expand more than a 0.0001milimeter if you go back to your warm room from a +5 degree celcius outside. Total bullshit.

    • @KeeepTV
      @KeeepTV ปีที่แล้ว

      if you take the equation in stainless steel l1 = l0(1+a(t1-t0) and a a of CrNi 80 20 (a=15,5x10^-6) you get a expansion of the inner diameter by 0,00047mm by just switching for 20 to 25 degree C. This means a 6.0500 barrel at 20C is 6.0505 at 25C... so yes, 0,0001 tolarance is just impossible. Even 0,001 will vary if the temperature changes by 10 degree, lets say inside the hall it has 10 degrees C and in the testing room there is 25 degree.

    I watched your other video on bore size. Do you have a specific recommendation on bore size? I currently use a 6.01 (stock from Wolverine in my 6 month old MTW) but thought about trying something a bit larger, 6.03 or 6.05. I will buy a top quality barrel (wanted edgi but they are all out so probably a PDI). A buddy of mine swears by the 6.05. I can't seem to find any 6.03s in stock. Is there really much difference between all three? The small mm size seem like it would be inconsequential between the three. I liked your comment about moving the barrel and the larger the diameter the more the bb would move around. Not sure if this is the case why a larger bore barrel would ever be better than a smaller bore.

    What are your thoughts on Maple Leaf 6.02mm and PDI Raven? Those are coated barrels and really cheap. Will I notice any difference if I buy this Lambda or Davinci barrel instead? What would you go for if you wanted the best bang for your buck inner barrel?

    • @reflexairsoft4648
      @reflexairsoft4648  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That depends, let me use cars as a reference.
      A coated barrels is like a rally car, it does not need that much cleaning or maintenance to work.
      A stainless steel barrel is more prone to corrotion, dirt ect. So to maintain top performance it needs service and maintenance, like an F1 car
      So yes your performance will increase with better barrels, but at a “cost”

      @@reflexairsoft4648 Thanks! Btw, when should we expect the shooting test? I will probably wait for it before my purchase.
      Unless you give your blessing to a purchase of a Lambda FIVE. My other premium option is a Da Vinci Akaishi (from Begadi), seems really good except the material is not stainless steel but carbon steel. Quick check on google says that is is prone to rust (tho specification on Begadi says it is rust free), but stronger than stainless steel. What is your take on those?

    • @reflexairsoft4648
      @reflexairsoft4648  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The test is done and filmed, but working abroard atm, with no wifi and the 4G sucks, so uploading a 20 min vid is not gonna happen atm
      So yes carbon steel rusts, and it Can happen by just the moisture in the air where the Chromium portion of stainless steel Makes it very hard to rust.
      I have a da vinci and i placed it in my shed, and it took 7 days to show signs of rust.
      So i avoid carbon steel in alot of things, exept knifes 😊
      I would choose barrel depending on hop Unit, bucking, and nozzle (hpa/type, aeg/maker)

    • @reflexairsoft4648
