I have to say, I love some Candela Obscura. It’s very narrative driven, open to interpretation and moved fairly quick. I’ve played multiple sessions of Candela Obscura thanks to two Lightkeepers in my home group. Both of them have even started creating their own assignments which has been very fun to watch them do as much.
Awesome. Yah, I think I want to attempt to run this.
I haven't had a chance to run it myself but I will be in 2024. If you ever want to play, I can get you in a game on my discord server.
@themidgarpress that would be cool!
Sad but true. In my 50s I noticed a marked change in my comfort in reading small text. Even the small bump that BFRPG made in changing their base-size from 9.5 to 10 was such a relief.
It is a struggle.
Looks interesting.
Yah, it’s pretty interesting.
I need to take a look at this game.. I have so many games I want to do reviews. I don't know how you find the time.
The struggle is real.
Yes it is.

Somehow I can still read small text with very little difficulty. I do wear bifocals, though.
This weekend I’m playing in my friend’s 5e game. The system is top-heavy, needlessly detailed, and anything but user-friendly, but the game we’re playing is a lot of fun. As long as I don’t stroke out whilst trying to find something in my character sheet I’ll be happy. I’m the GM about 99% of the time, do this is a welcome change.
I hope you have a wonderful time at the con.
I’ve got progressives, but small text just gets me now…sigh. And a fun game with a system that’s not your favorite sounds like a win to me!
I’m really looking forward to getting down there tomorrow!
I'm not super into the concept/world of the game, but it looks like something I'd enjoy playing at a con or something. The book does look fantastic.
I may be a rare person of my age who grew up writing & reading in cursive but who has zero problem with its death. One of the best days in my young life was when I hit 5th grade and my teacher said, "I don't care if it's in cursive or printed, as long as I can read it."
I'll be very interested in hearing about Pax Unplugged. For some reason, I didn't know about it, and living in the DC area, it's not such a difficult trip. Also, I think WashingCon might have collapsed, as it was supposed to happen in the Autumn, but never did. WashingCon 2019 was the first game convention I ever attended and I'd like to go to another...but then 2020 happened. Anyway, I'd love to hear about the con, what it's like, how big it is, what kinds of stuff happens and is available. Not sure if you were planning to do a recap video when it's over, but I for one would love to see one. Maybe my wife & I will make a make a weekend of it next year.
The book is beautiful. And I like the Cypher System a lot. I will being doing a good about of material from PaxU so don’t worry!
And I’m also in the planning stages for a small con in Palmyra, NJ April…
@@DMTalesTTRPG, am I going to have to move to Philadelphia? The TTRPG scene there & in the surrounding area seems much more lively and diverse than my neck of the woods.
I’m partial…
The book mark is a small thing but I agree it is such an awesome touch! Been very interested in trying this game gonna have to do a bunch of Livestreams or something if Im ever gonna play all these😂 Also LONG LIVE CURSIVE it is the superior written text!
Oh, cursive forever. In the book it’s just SMALL.
A bunch of live streams, you say…?
@@DMTalesTTRPG Oh yeah let's do some live stream collabs!! Just gotta manage the time😅
@AvenueStudios what is this…”time?”
Haha it's apparently some commodity we're supposed to manage carefully but I never seem to have enough around...
@AvenueStudios I believe
I may have heard of this myth in the old lore…
