Hornady entering the market seems like a positive sign. Looks like they did a nice job, should do good things for everyone. Now they just need to make it go faster lolololol. For those not following along. Some of us are pretty well convinced that they water down this stuff to keep the real benefits of 5.7x28 out of the public hands. They asked for a round superior to 9 and they got it. Do not be led astray by derp state ammo companies that dont like you. Maybe.
Thanks for explaining my point, hahaha. Yes, There is not reason this can't be going 2000 fps out of a pistol and 2400 out of a carbine. That makes this round much more reasonable. Still, for what it is, not bad. I'm not going to blame anyone but FN for now on weak ammo as I think they HAVE deliberately watered down this round for us.
Yah, I hope. I think with more and more offerings they are. I mean the $0.42 for the cheap stuff is better but most of this self defense is over $1 and that's too much...
Well it’s never going to be 556 and people want it to be so that’s true. But 2300 fos from a pistol is possible as my last test showed. I wish more loaded it hot. The round isn’t as good as some hope but the manufacturers also don’t load it properly as many small companies have shown.
Odd in a way, but good, that Hornady invests in this product, when it’s no huge step from their V-Max. I suppose marketing is the name of the game. Nice though, that it ran well for you, and seems like a good one. Maybe, the next step is a Critical Duty +P.
Yah, I'd love to see that round. Little bit harder projectile at higher speeds. And I don't know how long they worked it but creating their own case/brass was huge. They had a couple of hiccups early on so I waited a little bit but I'm glad they are on it.
@@Cant_Stop-Wont-Stop0329 For hunting - 100% agree. But for defense; fracturing does more damage (via creating a greater pressure wave) and once it's more widely understood that designing the projectile to glide through a foot or more of medium with very little drag - is a tremendous waste of energy & surface-area...then we can advance beyond the fuddnology that the FederalInvestigationBureau wedged these companies into creating for the past ~40 years. Aside from cherry-picking select situations of this flying arm, or that flailing leg...the vitals reside 1 - 2.5" beneath the surface of the thoracic skin. Not 15"

That was a great test Sir. I've tested any rounds on any ballistic Gel, but I will try some soon. Thanks for sharing brother! Much love and respect!!
Awesome Adrian! Can't wait to see it! Hopefully you got in on that great deal they had last week. Best prices I've seen on gel. Take Care!
@ Always a pleasure watching brother. I actually missed the sale, but oh well. Better luck next time.
good results for 57 thanks for video.
Thanks Ram. Wish it were about 100 fos faster out of the hand gun but I think we saw 2000-2100 is about all this bullet can take.
Glad to see Hornady getting some 57 out, great review Trigger Bar
Thanks Chris! Yes and hopefully they can load it hotter now!! 😂🤣🤷♂️
She’s getting there!
Man I just wish it was a little faster but it performed well and cycles!!
If they can get it the energy to around 325 I would be satisfied but 296 is still more powerful than 380 to say the least
Great test, Trigger-Bar. 👊👍🇺🇸
Thanks my friend!!
Now seems to be good ammo 👍
Seems pretty good. Wish it were faster but hey it cycles and HP opens!
@triggerbarPhD yep
I will have all of my 57 stuff in for the MPA Monday.
Can’t wait to hear how that goes!!

It's a winner. It's not a Jam o matic. Now if we could just get the prices down.

This round is trying so hard to be something it's never going to be...the fantasy laser beam of death round from video games.

Glad that Hornady is making 5.7 ammo. Now, can we get it loaded to what it should be??
Yeah, I totally agree.

The one thing it is lacking is certainly velocity, which isn’t that difficult to achieve with 5.7 and has been done before…decades ago.
Ya I agree but even if this bullet had the velocity it would come apart, bonded would be better Imo.
@Cant_Stop-Wont-Stop0329 yah. That’s a good point.
Agreed.
