Hantek 1008c running Hscope. Comparing a Rotkee pulse sensor vs MAP readings simultaneously

  • First time using Hscope with the Hantek also, new pulse sensor. Thanks to Jon from the Hscope telegram group for pointing me in the right direction with the license.
Was the signal inverted? Does the overall frequency of the pulses raise the voltage output? That is, does the frequency make the voltage line rise, or is it with accelleration the sensors do not have the same time to relax before registering another pulse? Does how sharp the pulses become on a decel tell us anything? I learned a lot, but like everything only more questions that will be answered. Thanks again for watching, any insight is always appreciated! #automotive #oscilloscope

Try using a fuel pressure sensor, it work really well as a pressure sensor to measure things. Also i use an old knock sensor as a chassis ears with ths scope to find out where noises comes from.

I remember when people who sold you Rotkee stuff starting out business. They rented one or two ( don’t remember exactly) bays in government owned trucking company ( 105441, was the number I believe), they stated out by cleaning gas fuel injectors.

Oh wow, I never heard of them until recently. Their videos are great even with subs. They built an oscilocope but no longer available sadly

@@manelishi13 It says package was shipped from Kyiv, but everything started back in mid 90-ies in Vinnitsa.
You should also know about diagnostic scripts that was written by Andriy Shulgin, that help identify the engine problems.
Hopefully they will restore production of their scopes after the war will be over.

Yes, it changed from out of stock to permanently discontinued but I believe it's back to out of stock. I know nothing of the scripting but was very interested in the scope after seeing the images on their site. Very honest people, last order credit processing was down and only way to pay was pay pal eugeene directly. I'd do it again anytime

Hose length, material and diameter affect the signal in map sensor.will amplify the pulse you are seeing.also hooking 2 sensors at same hose.

See, that's why i appreciate comments. I never did the MAP alone other than scan data. Would have been interesting to see the difference with and without the tubing. Always the next time. I was just getting tired of looking at that pulse sensor and thinking "I dont even know what kind of signal you make" lol. Now i know, it is an excitible sensor for sure. The Hantek only had 2.4v and 19v on Hscope add it overscaled on 19 a little.

Hi E. He is correct. A map sensor works really well also. The clear hose can really throw off your capture. Especially in the tail pipe. Try to use a shorter piece or get one with a thicker schedule. This will helps. It will still work but the waveform will have a delay when you are lining up the overlay.

Eric I think I’m losing you a little. Are you using the Hscope running through the 8 Channel Hantech ? If you are will the Hscope give you the extra channels? Why not just check the cylinder sync. And MAP sensor just using the Hscope 502/512 and your tablet ? What are the readings on the left and right border ? Are you referencing the image and not the scaling ? This is using the Oscope could you have used the Hscope automotive ? If I’m way off base just let me know I’m new to the Hscope and what it can be hooked up to . Thanks Eric 👍

Hey there, yes I was mainly trying out several things. The new sensor and if I coukd read both it and the MAP which is doing the same thing, turning intake pulses onto voltage. I was hoping they were closer scale wise . 4.5v is the maps max voltage and the pulse sensor was over 19. Made the wave odd with the rotkee. Mainly wanted to sync to a pulse so I can identify which pulse belonged to each cylinder.
Yes I'm using Hscope software instead of the windows laptop based hantek softwar with the 1008. Works the same but limited to the hanteks low sample rate. You can use 4 channels of the 8 with hscooe , but honestly if I needed 5 I'd need a better scope anyways lol . That 8 channel barley ran 3 but it did run them well!

Just got it last week, might be their new run. Ordered their heavy duty piping and hose for the transducer. Been almost 3 weeks but made it to Poland the other day . Got to give it to Eugene and crew for still shipping while being bombed so we can plug shit into Hondas and such. Their scope looked awesome but not available. It didn't use bnc though. I wonder even though it does not say if they are like the newer pico leads? I put it on my ebay save list in case it shows up used

@@manelishi13 I’m not sure that’s weird. I just got six of them last week, I owned a few already. The leads are definitely different 4mm vs these and 10ft. I perfer the pico leads because of the shielding in them but these work great too. I have all the rotkeee leads, transducers and splitter leads. The mtpro is a great scope I love it
