Can't quite put my finger on it, but this video has such a nice feeling about it. The music, the positive attitude, the scenery, it all worked really well! Nice one 🤙
I feel the same as though I'm going to explode inside, restless wanting to be out in nature, missing that feeling of the challenge, the cool air and the wind rain the magic of the sunlight dancing through the trees and on the water, I find the only true medicine is to go and do, its like a drug you can never get enough of, and I'm always planning my next adventure.
Couldn't have said it better myself. I've spent far too much money on camping gear in the past few weeks just to combat my cabin fever...only to make it worse, because now I want to go test it. Luckily I have my Colorado Rockies in my backyard but I have to wait for the snow to melt a bit before my roommate is willing to go camping. Snowdonia looks awesome! I didn't get a chance to go there when I was in Wales last, I spent all my time in Cardiff and Caerphilly. Is there a way to get to Snowdonia using public transport? We're heading there in September and a bit of backpacking sounds "lush" :)
loved this .. would recommend wild camp on your own .It gives you some great moments . i do it for a week every year but i cheat i have german shepherd keep me company. Scottish highlands here i come again in May.
IPAALES 1974 That’s absolutely encouraging! You can go a step further and say “You are never truly lost! Only lost in your head or have lost your wits. Loved this video! It's definitely inspired me to get back out into nature. I only live a few miles from Snowdonia, and you're right, it's easy to make excuses.
This totally looks like me travelling solo on Isle of Skye, the only difference was that I was staying overnight in a hostel. The next destination was supposed to be either Lake District, Snowdonia or southern Sweden with my tent. @Cowardly Custard The werewolves can be a concern at times, but with there being sheep a plenty in Wales, they tend to leave you alone. It's the Goblins you need to watch out for.
I love mid wales & North Wales for the fly fishing but i totally get the peace and solitude of this and am slightly envious. Wales is amazing in that it allows wild camping. Great video too.
Great video, amazing views. Solo camping is the best. I too have moments in my tent with not much to do so I usually pack a puzzle book. Take care and enjoy the wilderness, Jodie.
Good video, even though the weather was bad, you managed to get some good footage and show the beauty of the landscape. Very atmospheric in parts. And its Bed-gel-ert as you know by now. Thanks 😀
Lived two wonderful years in North Wales. Stayed on a farm in Denbighshire and totally fell in love with the place and it's people. Quickly learnt that if you didn't brave the rain and wind and cloudless days, you were going to be stuck indoors forever. Soon had 5-6 favourite routes to walk but too much of a city boy to try wild camping. Pity.
Really enjoyable video. Nice chilled out folk music. Haven’t been walking in ages. Looking forward to taking my littleun to the mountains when she’s old enough.
Loved watching this from all the way in Singapore, beautiful scenery, great shots + music and love how genuine and real you are in your videos! Thanks Athena!

Great video really captures the beauty and tranquility of the mountains. Reminds me of when I did the Welsh 3000s challenge a few years back. Well done on another excellent video.

Ah Wales!!! I haven't been there in years, I see the weather hasn't got any better. I have been getting hypothermia in the Cumbrian mountains rather than the Cambrian mountains of late. Must go back to Wales you have inspired me. Great little video
Love this lassie's videos something amateurish but charming about her delivery! There's a great wild camping spot in the Western Cairngorms at Derry Lodge, with a lovely flat area to pitch a tent. The Derry burn is a substantial river at this point with plenty of lovely Highland water to drink, it puts you right in the middle of the Cairngorms, east walk along Glen Luibeg and Glen Derry, MacDui and Derry Cairngorm very close by plus the Lairig Grue Corour bothy area is not far Cairn Toul, Braeriach and The Great Moss walkable there and back in the day (during summer). Brilliant.
Great video, good on you for getting out and doing it. It would be great if more people got outside exploring instead of sitting on their bums in front of a screen, as you said being stuck in a rut is no good. I hope you do some more wild camps and film them it was enjoyable looking at your countryside as it’s a bit wetter and cooler than mine. I find the way you have all these great walking trails all over England very interesting. Cheers from Australia

This was so uplifting and pleasant!! Thank you for sharing your reasons why too... true candidness is the ultimate joy. I too would be freaked out by that book + duck the camera if I saw someone else, LOL! You're inspiring to get back out there! Much appreciated from the northeast U.S. 😊🙏
Lovely video! Shows the beauty of nature. I've only done one solo wild camp, in Glen Etive. I felt quite spooked out and pitched my tent right next to my car. I was serenaded all night by hooting owls and bellowing deer. I'd downloaded a podcast, about the Salem witch trials. Not a good choice! Slept well though, and hope to do some more this year, maybe a bit further away from my car!

@@caterinas6863 maybe in other countries, but how many women get raped, by opertunistic men, who happen to be up a mountain, in the UK? And how is a 'rapist' as you call them, going to know whether that tent has a lovely young lady in, or a massive bloke? They're not.... 🤔
Enjoyed that. Nice touch time lapsing putting the tent up. I was up Moel Hebog a couple of weeks ago, great views. Subbed you. 👍
This was so uplifting and pleasant!! Thank you for sharing your reasons why too... true candidness is the ultimate joy. I too would be freaked out by that book + duck the camera if I saw someone else, LOL! You're inspiring to get back out there! Much appreciated from the northeast U.S. 😊🙏
Great video! That landscape is just incredible.
hello,
it was a really enjoyable video with very good editing. stunning views and just enough commentary.
What an absolute pleasure to watch! Thank you.
Cool. Nice tent MSR Hubba Hubba HP. Wild camping is the way to go.
Good waterproof jacket, the rain just chisseled off it.
3 cafes in 1 day is my kind of camping nice vid even for a first attempt very enjoyable hope theres many more
Thanks!
I absolutely agree!! Out of intertest - how did you come across this video?
