Michael Romanian 16 and 19 are bullshit, there isn't a problem with gas grenades, in are line you get 3! in battlefield 1 you only get 2 and gas going through walls makes them more affective, just put your gas mask on!

Yes me too. When I started to play I only used support because of the mg15 but now I really like medic but support has still got my most score and most kills primary which is the mg15 with 1,092 kills. But still most score because that’s the only thing is used lol

NO. It`s not like M1916 factory... The TTK difference between M1916 and M1906 is BIGGER than TTK difference between Famas and AK12 in BF4. In fact it`s way better than M1916.
It`s not. 5 shots is way more than enough to kill your enemy. All comes down to playstyle. Also M1906 makes you a better player. It might feel "worse" than M1916 because it`s harder to use but it has way more potential. I have almost 3k kills with autoloadin 8 .35 (best weapon in the game) and I don`t know what to do with 26 bullets... LevelCap is great example. His gameplay is very average and he doesn`t get better. The reason why is right above. He uses guns that are easy to use, not the ones that are actually good but harder to use...
Compared to the mp18 trench, the superior hipfire should make up the need to ADS, it will lose at range to any mp18 variant. and the automatico shreds it up close. it's an example of a compromise that fails to please anyone.

The Hellriegel is the most imbalanced weapon I've ever used. Oh and everyone who's saying the Martini Henry is bad after it's fix: I don't know what you are talking about. I've never played the pre patch version of it and have no problem getting onw hit kills with it. It must have been really OP before, everyone saying it was just a "skill weapon" before, fuck off! NOW it's a skill weapon, before it was just for no hands!
Gets destroyed up close by Automatico and shotguns. Gets destroyed long range by MP18 optical and experimental. I can`t see where is the overpowerness...
Supercyzer I'd say it was an anti skill weapon. I mean, it had a 1.0 multiplier to limb shots, meaning getting shot in the leg within its sweet spot resulted in death, which was very stupid when you consider that it's sweet spot is so large.
It's surprising how more people don't use the Benet-Mercie LMG. It has low recoil, it's ammo efficient, the bullet spread isn't too bad, and the damage is decent. It's a very reliable and effective LMG. Much more so than the MG15.
16893 boi It can appear that way, but for less crowded maps, it isn't usually a problem. It's ammo efficient enough for it to be OK in a lot of situations. The MG15 has a lot of ammo, but you waste most of it trying to hit your target at a decent range. You tend to land bullets better at range with the Benet-Mercie than the MG15.
The Benet has an awful rate of fire (only 450rpm) with typical low LMG damage, making it one of the worst damage per second guns in the game. Accuracy is good but that's not enough to make it as viable as the BAR or the MG15.
FunLion The BAR has a smaller clip than some of the rifles and SMGs. It also has quite a high fire rate, which isn't a good combination. It's not really a viable option for solo players, because you might only get one kill with it before you have to reload, which means you will almost certainly die in the thick of battle. The BAR is good if you have cover. JackFrags swears by it, but that's because he has the likes of LevelCap covering his back while he destroys with it. The MG15 has lots of ammo, but you couldn't hit a barn door with it a lot of the time, so the ammo is largely irrelevant. I actually like the MG15 overall (I have 10 service stars with it), but it's better for War Pigeons than it is for Conquest. There has been several times that a guy has ran past me towards some random alleyway on Conquest and I've tried to shoot him with the MG15 only to miss several shots and him to reach the alleyway before I could kill him. It's good for War Pigeons because while everyone is distracted, you can pick off a whole team with your huge 100 round magazine. The lack of recoil, high accuracy, and ammo efficiency of the Benet-Mercie allows solo players to get all of their shots on target against several enemies, which is VITAL to making sure you win gun fights. If you are surrounded by enemies with the BAR as a solo player, all I can say is "Good luck!"

Hylian RIGHT?!!?!? Bullet drop, gunplay everything is way more different from BF4 or BF3. In the beta when I picked it up I felt something major was off, everything felt toned down, bullets would go straight forever, and the maps feel way bigger than hey should be. (Argonne Forest really doesn't need those sides..... they don't need to be as big as they are at least, I'm not saying they need to get rid of them altogether because Argonne is the map where flanking is necessary to win)
Mr. Helix AIII! Support is my most played class, and I have the most kills in that class. Dropping ammo, throwing Limpets, and suppressing enemies is kind of my way of playing.
And I can't be bothered to use the assault class since the guns are so ass, the majority of kills I get with it are due to the extra explosives you receive

Just different playstyles. I mained the medic class at first, then went back to sniping (started sniping in beta), then went to assault. For assault, you gotta be used to hipfiring more than ADS. It can be very deadly when used correctly. Shotgun? Oh man you'll get a crapload of kills close range. Assault has some of the most overpowered guns in the game lol.
Machine guns' subject was raised in russian BF community about half a year ago. Some of russian BF youtubers twitted about this to Alan Kertz, but they were ignored, cuz it was all good with guns. KappaKertz
When you see people running around with a certain shotgun (that was "fixed" recently, some would say nerfed) and they have 30, 40, 50 or many more service stars in that weapon you know there is (or at least was) something about it that made it so good they've used it enough to get many, many hundreds of kills with it. The 10-A, Hellreigal, Automatico and the Martini Henry was four weapons being used becaue they are simply leaps and bounds above any other weapon in game, hence their popularity. Players will always chase the "god gun"it's just the way we are in all honesty.
a big problem with the scout class is the lack of close range weapons. Sometimes it is absolutely unviable and despite that 20-40% of your team try to snipe. Bf4 did a great job imo with the carabines, smoothing out the balance issues between classes.
As a support main on battlefield 1 (My 2nd most used class being medic), I find it as a very versatile class due to 3 major factors: Your supplement, you can sustain your ammunition for the majority of the round. Firepower, you have decent punch with your shots while also maintaining ammo count and range with the bipod deployed. And finally, supporting the assaults. As we know, as assault your weapon runs out of ammo VERY quickly, so you need a backup plan. Behold the Support, giving you a blessing of full ammo and you can finally jump back In the fight and continue to push the enemy back.
Nathan Hill nope, you're wrong man. When I play in cqb maps there are always a lot of people running around with Automaticos and I play on ps4. Obviusly, it is less used in naps like Sinai desert because you can't push a smg out of its kill range too much.

***** I know that it's easy to controller the recoil but after players can't handle it so they use controllable recoil guns. I've only been killed once by the automatico the same guy killed me again and he had a different gun throughout the match like CQB.

Interesting to say that Heavy tanks are used most, timewise and killwise. This doesn't say a whole lot though. Heavy tanks move slower, thus take longer to get anywhere. Kills generated from heavy tanks can be up to 5 times higher because of 4 extra gunners. True the tank stays alive longer and can be used longer. But the light tank could be used a lot too, but it is just 1 person using it and shorter periods of time. In game i see both tanks picked or used equally as much.
The landship tankhunter destroys the heavy tank (and all the other tanks) in seconds. Most people don't know how to use it effectively though. It has to be used more defensively.

The problem is we don't have a lot of guns, this leaves power creep between weapons like a valley (Sebtsltader 1906) and Mountains (automatico). There is no in between due to the number of weapons, leaving black and whites on how well a gun is.

JDmsz Sweeper is literally the worst M1907 variant. You give up the accuracy of factory and hipfire of trench for lower vertical recoil and full auto. Vertical recoil can be countered by the user and BF1 has mechanic which makes reaching max RPM with semi-auto super easy.
ive been DOMINATING with the MG 15 lately... i played medic class for the majority of my BF 1 games prior to switching over and the ability to suppress and kill from long range without being useless up close is perfect
In every bf1 match I've played, there has always been at least one guy who is playing the scout class and running around with the Mars automatic so I think that is what attracts so many people to the scout class

I one of the reasons the heavy tank is so popular is not only because it's powerful but because you can shove up to 6 people in there. People who are in a clan full of friends can all fit in that and steam roll people since they're able to actually properly communicate with one another.

Honestly I don't know why people find snipers attractive in battlefield games. In Arma games I most certainly understand the appeal. Had a friend spot and designate targets for me in those games all the time while I ran around carrying missile launchers and other crap to the extent that I could barely move. He could also get plenty of good kills and warn me when it was time to bugger out. In Battlefield games I see sniping the same way I see it in CoD games. Doesn't fit in there and it only serves to ruin the game. No snipers servers in BF3 and BF4 were the best things ever.
Personally, I play Scout because it's the only class where I can use iron sight bolt action rifles. Playing as an aggressive Scout shooting flares into the cap and getting the drop on players using stuff like the Automatico is pretty fun. Plus, picking off snipers at long range with a scopeless rifle before they have a chance to even hit you is just glorious. Kind of reminds me of playing Red Orchestra 2 as a rifleman.
I'm a rank 10 scout and I mainly use the geiwer 95 marksman. By sniping, do you mean sitting at the other side of the map attempting to pathetically pick of 1 target with 10 bullets then I agree. However, I play scout at medium to long range, so I am usually just behind support players and 50m behind assaults and medics. I try to weaken threats and eliminate stationary targets which pose a large threat to assault players. Using flares to spot enemies in buildings and around flags, using my traps to block important choke points and buildings. I think that was how scout was intended to be played and It's actually pretty fun, you can destroy assault players who just escaped a fire fight and stationary support players.
Playing aggressively and actually helping your team is good, especially when you can pick off people in stationary weapons. It's a big help to pilots. Using lower powered scopes and so on I can understand. I found myself liking the iron sighted variants more and at first I thought that 4x is as high as the scopes can go which I would have been happy with, but I was soon proved wrong by the hordes of snipers sitting on the other side of the map, sniping away and distrupting the flow of the game without really getting kills. The main issue I have with the snipers is that they force players to sprint constantly. You let go of the sprint button and some sniper who has been waiting for that moment for 20minutes finally gets his reward. With no snipers servers in previous games I noticed that the entire flow of the game was so much better and squads worked better together as they didn't have to keep sprinting and zig zagging 100% of the time. I just hope that DICE adds custom servers so I can return to the game. Some serverside limitations on explosives and snipers would be neat since DICE clearly has no interest in changing that at all. Feels like the game is pretty unfinished when obvious things like custom servers aren't a thing.
See the problem is in conquest there are different type of scouts, there are the campers who sit in an unrelated undesignated spot picking off people who walk by, then there are the people who solely stay near their flag and defend it, however some take advantage of high areas and start camping, then there are people like myself, as a scout level 26, I am a low to mid range player who uses mainly infantry, causally use marksman, and almost never use sniper. My favourite thing to do is pick off the trigger happy shotgun fanatics and I also anti-camp(pick of the campers). I do know how to do long range but its very rare when I do. I already have the Martini Henry Sniper unlocked but I never use it, if anything in open areas I like to use the Martini Henry, mostly for the sweet spot advantage, but in tight areas my favourite to use is the Gewehr 98 infantry.
I honestly REALLY love support, probably my favorite class. Once you get to level 2, You get the BAR, and one other gun ( I cant remember its name ) It gets really fun.
I saw something in a book, it's called a martini Henry conversion and it has an experimental magazine next to the breech block in the henry, it turns the martini henry from a one shot rifle. To a repeater that would be really cool
BAR Storm with AA sights is the best LMG, I’m at 45 service stars, since the recent patch it had incredible damage and looking past the frequent reloads, if timed right you can hold down any area as long as you want.
Battlefield 1 is a pile of crap cause of the overpowered weapons. I have played the series since battlefield 2 in 2004 and loved every moment from console to pc. I have spent about 10hours in total on BF1 and unless there's a major patch to balance the game i won't be returning.

With 350000 players across all platforms at peak times BF1 is not dying, far from it. Yes on PC I agree it has dropped off but it did with BF4 so it's no surprise that it has again. PC gamers have much more choice and variety at what the can play at a lower cost so it's is hard to hold their attention for long in a game that a lot off pc gamers find to be too casual. BF1 is not dying its fan base is now mainly on console.
Dunno about anyone else but the Renault with the 20mm gets my pick over the heavy tank in most situations (unless there is only 1 tank available throughout the game) that thing is so much fun!!

All they need to do to make the 1906 a better gun is cut the reload time in half. That would improve the gun's viability significantly and make it more suited for close to medium range engagements, which is what it is designed for. Either that or double the magazine capacity so we don't have to reload so often, but keep everything else the same.
My biggest problem is that each weapon class has a clear defined range in which its the best. smgs close range, shotguns extreme close, dmrs medium to long, scout long range. Then there's the lmgs which have the little gray area between close and medium range where the BAR is pretty damn good. Other than that none of the other lmgs can come close to competitive in a straight up firefight. Just doesn't make sense to me why DICE would make the lmgs hit like a pebble, shoot slow, and be inaccurate as hell if you're not standing still or bipoded. But hey the cause better suppression right? Half the time it doesn't even work and you get like 10 points for it versus a potential 100 point kill.....WOOO so good
I wish DICE would make it to where you can use a standard issue bolt action rifle for any kit instead of only on one game mode. Sort of how they used to have all kit weapons like PDWs, shotguns, and carbines.
The support weapons are honestly the best in my opinion. The MG-15 Low Weight is one of the most versatile weapons in the game. Even back at launch i still thought the guns were far better than anything the assault class has

Here's the thing with scout though, or any class for that matter. People using it don't actually scout, like use the flares or spot enemies. Specifically spotting. More people of all classes need to spot more often. Almost every time I see an enemy I immediately spot them before I even start shooting. This is so, in case I'm unable to kill them, my teammates will be able to them down. Just spot people more often people...
the fact that many kills are from gadgets and vehicles is what makes this game unique. there are many basic cod infantry shooters, not many as diverse as battlefield.
I agree with you for the most part BUT there's 2 issues I have: 1 does the program focus on 1 platform or all platforms & 2 when / how often is the data collected because it seems like most of the stuff makes since but other things didn't for instance I personally RARELY see a medic being used & when used its not that long. Other than that & a few minor issues I agree especially with behemoths. the Airship is laughed at by even moderately good players and sometimes gets ignored because it doesn't do much & the Drednought is starting to get more awareness in the need to destroy it & trains (while good) are ambushed by good players and useless if bad players use it
in my opinion, the lewis gun low weight variant is my favorite support gun in the game. the fire rate mixed with the damage, and recoil, oh its so good. for assault, the mp 18 experimental is good too.
Mastering scout masters every class, I started B12 as a ptfo scout, sort of like assault, and after 3 months, I can go from point blank to 300 metres. Assault to Scout, I can do everything.

I know you did at least one for BF1 but how about another which showcases your key bindings, tactics, etc in greater detail for each plane? I have a terrible time in them but love flying since it adds another dimension to the Battlefield fun. Thanks for all the great vids!
Stats show that on average the hellriegel causes about 10% of all kills in game, its not only used more than the automatico, but also every other gun, vehicle, etc.
As a new player, and even now a few weeks in, I found the support class easy to use, but I hate pretty much everything people like in it... BARs, mortars, limpets.
Im a medic who really loves the cei-rigotti because of the reload animation. seriously I play this game for the "aesthetic." I cant be the only one who plays it for the look and feel of WW1
So, here's what happens for me: "Squad, we can't have so many Scouts. We need to diversify a little bit. This is why we're still on the 3rd Sector." *Gets kicked from the Squad* Or... "If you don't change your class next time from something other than Scout, you're getting kicked." *3 people remain in the Squad*
I think it would be cool if they made a training course for multiplayer so players could practice flying and try new guns before buying them you could even put some type of speed round were you have a timer to hit a certain amount of targets and maybe have a leaderboard for that
Support is my top class. I'd give anyone wanting to play the class this advice--use BAR Storm if you are on the offensive, you can wreck people mid-range and give Assault classes a run for their money up close, just advance with your team, empty the mag, find cover and reload rinse and repeat. For gadgets take the frag grenade crossbow and the ammo crate as this allows you to maximize damage and rain Hell on offensive if you can manage to keep alive. FOR a more DEFENSIVE play style take the MG15 Suppressive. I have 13 Stars with it and it's my most used gun. The MG15 Suppressive will get you 30 kills in a game of conquest and 15 flags defended easy if you get in a covered area and cut anyone approaching down. On Argonne Forest for example guard the D flag using the MG pillbox closest to the railroad track. On Suez get you a nice rooftop on B or D objective and rain hell on C and attackers on the further objective. The optic gives you the ability to reach out further than you'd think and you can harass snipers. For gadgets again take the ammo crate as I tend to use it like a bullet hose and just liberally spray bullets. I use the air burst mortar too because again for a map like Suez it can be fun shoot over hill and take people out on C objective.
I'd also add, at medium to long range it can sometimes be hard to kill a full health player with the slower shooting MG15 but you'll find you get a lot of kill assists counts as kills, and you'll also kill a lot more people who are already damaged than you'd think.
And as far as planes go I think the trenchfighter is a bit OP, land darts need tweaks, plane is super hard to take down while also packing hella punch, a good pilot can go all friggin game harassing you in it.
The LMGs are perfectly fine, especially after the most recent buff. People just need to try new weapons. (My personal favorite weapon in the entire game being either the Lewis Low Weight or the Huot)
People don't know how to play support, really. It's a really good class on operations and rush, where you know where the enemy is coming from. People use the BAR because it's that "shoot on the move" weapon that the support class has, because they are going for kills, not for suppression, resupplying, mortar stressing the enemy. You're the SUPPORT class, not Mr. Big gun killer (that's the sentry BTW).
Just got all the multiplayer trophies on BF1, and apart from "Friends in High Places" I find the campaign too boring to bother getting the rest of the trophies. Now just going to have fun with the multiplayer from now on and help my squads get flags :)

NO. It`s not like M1916 factory... The TTK difference between M1916 and M1906 is BIGGER than TTK difference between Famas and AK12 in BF4. In fact it`s way better than M1916.

It`s not. 5 shots is way more than enough to kill your enemy. All comes down to playstyle. Also M1906 makes you a better player. It might feel "worse" than M1916 because it`s harder to use but it has way more potential. I have almost 3k kills with autoloadin 8 .35 (best weapon in the game) and I don`t know what to do with 26 bullets...
LevelCap is great example. His gameplay is very average and he doesn`t get better. The reason why is right above. He uses guns that are easy to use, not the ones that are actually good but harder to use...

Compared to the mp18 trench, the superior hipfire should make up the need to ADS, it will lose at range to any mp18 variant. and the automatico shreds it up close. it's an example of a compromise that fails to please anyone.

Supercyzer I'd say it was an anti skill weapon. I mean, it had a 1.0 multiplier to limb shots, meaning getting shot in the leg within its sweet spot resulted in death, which was very stupid when you consider that it's sweet spot is so large.
They should make the support guns do more damage to vehicles and planes
It's surprising how more people don't use the Benet-Mercie LMG. It has low recoil, it's ammo efficient, the bullet spread isn't too bad, and the damage is decent. It's a very reliable and effective LMG. Much more so than the MG15.

16893 boi It can appear that way, but for less crowded maps, it isn't usually a problem. It's ammo efficient enough for it to be OK in a lot of situations. The MG15 has a lot of ammo, but you waste most of it trying to hit your target at a decent range. You tend to land bullets better at range with the Benet-Mercie than the MG15.
djaceman123 huh. I see a lot of people using it, even on PC. It's like the SAR-21/U-100 MK5 of BF1, but even better.
The Benet has an awful rate of fire (only 450rpm) with typical low LMG damage, making it one of the worst damage per second guns in the game. Accuracy is good but that's not enough to make it as viable as the BAR or the MG15.
FunLion The BAR has a smaller clip than some of the rifles and SMGs. It also has quite a high fire rate, which isn't a good combination. It's not really a viable option for solo players, because you might only get one kill with it before you have to reload, which means you will almost certainly die in the thick of battle. The BAR is good if you have cover. JackFrags swears by it, but that's because he has the likes of LevelCap covering his back while he destroys with it.
The MG15 has lots of ammo, but you couldn't hit a barn door with it a lot of the time, so the ammo is largely irrelevant. I actually like the MG15 overall (I have 10 service stars with it), but it's better for War Pigeons than it is for Conquest. There has been several times that a guy has ran past me towards some random alleyway on Conquest and I've tried to shoot him with the MG15 only to miss several shots and him to reach the alleyway before I could kill him. It's good for War Pigeons because while everyone is distracted, you can pick off a whole team with your huge 100 round magazine.
The lack of recoil, high accuracy, and ammo efficiency of the Benet-Mercie allows solo players to get all of their shots on target against several enemies, which is VITAL to making sure you win gun fights. If you are surrounded by enemies with the BAR as a solo player, all I can say is "Good luck!"

In the beta when I picked it up I felt something major was off, everything felt toned down, bullets would go straight forever, and the maps feel way bigger than hey should be. (Argonne Forest really doesn't need those sides..... they don't need to be as big as they are at least, I'm not saying they need to get rid of them altogether because Argonne is the map where flanking is necessary to win)

Just different playstyles. I mained the medic class at first, then went back to sniping (started sniping in beta), then went to assault. For assault, you gotta be used to hipfiring more than ADS. It can be very deadly when used correctly. Shotgun? Oh man you'll get a crapload of kills close range. Assault has some of the most overpowered guns in the game lol.

When you see people running around with a certain shotgun (that was "fixed" recently, some would say nerfed) and they have 30, 40, 50 or many more service stars in that weapon you know there is (or at least was) something about it that made it so good they've used it enough to get many, many hundreds of kills with it.
The 10-A, Hellreigal, Automatico and the Martini Henry was four weapons being used becaue they are simply leaps and bounds above any other weapon in game, hence their popularity. Players will always chase the "god gun"it's just the way we are in all honesty.
a big problem with the scout class is the lack of close range weapons. Sometimes it is absolutely unviable and despite that 20-40% of your team try to snipe. Bf4 did a great job imo with the carabines, smoothing out the balance issues between classes.

As a support main on battlefield 1 (My 2nd most used class being medic), I find it as a very versatile class due to 3 major factors: Your supplement, you can sustain your ammunition for the majority of the round. Firepower, you have decent punch with your shots while also maintaining ammo count and range with the bipod deployed. And finally, supporting the assaults. As we know, as assault your weapon runs out of ammo VERY quickly, so you need a backup plan. Behold the Support, giving you a blessing of full ammo and you can finally jump back In the fight and continue to push the enemy back.

Nathan Hill nope, you're wrong man. When I play in cqb maps there are always a lot of people running around with Automaticos and I play on ps4. Obviusly, it is less used in naps like Sinai desert because you can't push a smg out of its kill range too much.

Interesting to say that Heavy tanks are used most, timewise and killwise. This doesn't say a whole lot though. Heavy tanks move slower, thus take longer to get anywhere. Kills generated from heavy tanks can be up to 5 times higher because of 4 extra gunners. True the tank stays alive longer and can be used longer. But the light tank could be used a lot too, but it is just 1 person using it and shorter periods of time. In game i see both tanks picked or used equally as much.
The landship tankhunter destroys the heavy tank (and all the other tanks) in seconds. Most people don't know how to use it effectively though. It has to be used more defensively.

The problem is we don't have a lot of guns, this leaves power creep between weapons like a valley (Sebtsltader 1906) and Mountains (automatico). There is no in between due to the number of weapons, leaving black and whites on how well a gun is.

JDmsz Sweeper is literally the worst M1907 variant. You give up the accuracy of factory and hipfire of trench for lower vertical recoil and full auto.
Vertical recoil can be countered by the user and BF1 has mechanic which makes reaching max RPM with semi-auto super easy.

In every bf1 match I've played, there has always been at least one guy who is playing the scout class and running around with the Mars automatic so I think that is what attracts so many people to the scout class

I one of the reasons the heavy tank is so popular is not only because it's powerful but because you can shove up to 6 people in there. People who are in a clan full of friends can all fit in that and steam roll people since they're able to actually properly communicate with one another.

Honestly I don't know why people find snipers attractive in battlefield games. In Arma games I most certainly understand the appeal. Had a friend spot and designate targets for me in those games all the time while I ran around carrying missile launchers and other crap to the extent that I could barely move. He could also get plenty of good kills and warn me when it was time to bugger out. In Battlefield games I see sniping the same way I see it in CoD games. Doesn't fit in there and it only serves to ruin the game. No snipers servers in BF3 and BF4 were the best things ever.
Personally, I play Scout because it's the only class where I can use iron sight bolt action rifles. Playing as an aggressive Scout shooting flares into the cap and getting the drop on players using stuff like the Automatico is pretty fun. Plus, picking off snipers at long range with a scopeless rifle before they have a chance to even hit you is just glorious.
Kind of reminds me of playing Red Orchestra 2 as a rifleman.
I'm a rank 10 scout and I mainly use the geiwer 95 marksman. By sniping, do you mean sitting at the other side of the map attempting to pathetically pick of 1 target with 10 bullets then I agree. However, I play scout at medium to long range, so I am usually just behind support players and 50m behind assaults and medics. I try to weaken threats and eliminate stationary targets which pose a large threat to assault players. Using flares to spot enemies in buildings and around flags, using my traps to block important choke points and buildings. I think that was how scout was intended to be played and It's actually pretty fun, you can destroy assault players who just escaped a fire fight and stationary support players.
Playing aggressively and actually helping your team is good, especially when you can pick off people in stationary weapons. It's a big help to pilots. Using lower powered scopes and so on I can understand. I found myself liking the iron sighted variants more and at first I thought that 4x is as high as the scopes can go which I would have been happy with, but I was soon proved wrong by the hordes of snipers sitting on the other side of the map, sniping away and distrupting the flow of the game without really getting kills.
The main issue I have with the snipers is that they force players to sprint constantly. You let go of the sprint button and some sniper who has been waiting for that moment for 20minutes finally gets his reward.
With no snipers servers in previous games I noticed that the entire flow of the game was so much better and squads worked better together as they didn't have to keep sprinting and zig zagging 100% of the time.
I just hope that DICE adds custom servers so I can return to the game. Some serverside limitations on explosives and snipers would be neat since DICE clearly has no interest in changing that at all.
Feels like the game is pretty unfinished when obvious things like custom servers aren't a thing.
See the problem is in conquest there are different type of scouts, there are the campers who sit in an unrelated undesignated spot picking off people who walk by, then there are the people who solely stay near their flag and defend it, however some take advantage of high areas and start camping, then there are people like myself, as a scout level 26, I am a low to mid range player who uses mainly infantry, causally use marksman, and almost never use sniper. My favourite thing to do is pick off the trigger happy shotgun fanatics and I also anti-camp(pick of the campers). I do know how to do long range but its very rare when I do. I already have the Martini Henry Sniper unlocked but I never use it, if anything in open areas I like to use the Martini Henry, mostly for the sweet spot advantage, but in tight areas my favourite to use is the Gewehr 98 infantry.

I saw something in a book, it's called a martini Henry conversion and it has an experimental magazine next to the breech block in the henry, it turns the martini henry from a one shot rifle. To a repeater that would be really cool

BAR Storm with AA sights is the best LMG, I’m at 45 service stars, since the recent patch it had incredible damage and looking past the frequent reloads, if timed right you can hold down any area as long as you want.
The BAR, The Russian 1895, Automatico M1918, and the Model 10A Hunter Shotgun are the most used
Battlefield 1 is a pile of crap cause of the overpowered weapons. I have played the series since battlefield 2 in 2004 and loved every moment from console to pc. I have spent about 10hours in total on BF1 and unless there's a major patch to balance the game i won't be returning.

Yeah it is dying (at least on PC). Started off as 250k player peak now it's down to less than 60k player peak.
With 350000 players across all platforms at peak times BF1 is not dying, far from it. Yes on PC I agree it has dropped off but it did with BF4 so it's no surprise that it has again. PC gamers have much more choice and variety at what the can play at a lower cost so it's is hard to hold their attention for long in a game that a lot off pc gamers find to be too casual. BF1 is not dying its fan base is now mainly on console.
Dunno about anyone else but the Renault with the 20mm gets my pick over the heavy tank in most situations (unless there is only 1 tank available throughout the game)

All they need to do to make the 1906 a better gun is cut the reload time in half. That would improve the gun's viability significantly and make it more suited for close to medium range engagements, which is what it is designed for. Either that or double the magazine capacity so we don't have to reload so often, but keep everything else the same.

Support class is freaking good... I fell love with BAR Telescope, that thing is a pure beast.
My biggest problem is that each weapon class has a clear defined range in which its the best. smgs close range, shotguns extreme close, dmrs medium to long, scout long range. Then there's the lmgs which have the little gray area between close and medium range where the BAR is pretty damn good. Other than that none of the other lmgs can come close to competitive in a straight up firefight. Just doesn't make sense to me why DICE would make the lmgs hit like a pebble, shoot slow, and be inaccurate as hell if you're not standing still or bipoded. But hey the cause better suppression right? Half the time it doesn't even work and you get like 10 points for it versus a potential 100 point kill.....WOOO so good

I wish DICE would make it to where you can use a standard issue bolt action rifle for any kit instead of only on one game mode. Sort of how they used to have all kit weapons like PDWs, shotguns, and carbines.

The support weapons are honestly the best in my opinion. The MG-15 Low Weight is one of the most versatile weapons in the game. Even back at launch i still thought the guns were far better than anything the assault class has

personally i think best things from each class are: Assault- Hellriegel, Support- Bar storm, Medic- Cei rigotti optical, Scout- Russian 1895 Sniper, Tank- Artillery truck

Play as a soldier in the Marines who came western front in order to end the First World, use your m1903 kill your enemies from a far distance, use the M1911 to deal with the enemy in short distance, wish you luck.

Here's the thing with scout though, or any class for that matter. People using it don't actually scout, like use the flares or spot enemies. Specifically spotting. More people of all classes need to spot more often. Almost every time I see an enemy I immediately spot them before I even start shooting. This is so, in case I'm unable to kill them, my teammates will be able to them down. Just spot people more often people...
the fact that many kills are from gadgets and vehicles is what makes this game unique. there are many basic cod infantry shooters, not many as diverse as battlefield.
I use scout predominantly for the use of the spot flare. It's that powerful for clearing out objectives etc I can't live without it haha
I agree with you for the most part BUT there's 2 issues I have: 1 does the program focus on 1 platform or all platforms & 2 when / how often is the data collected because it seems like most of the stuff makes since but other things didn't for instance I personally RARELY see a medic being used & when used its not that long. Other than that & a few minor issues I agree especially with behemoths. the Airship is laughed at by even moderately good players and sometimes gets ignored because it doesn't do much & the Drednought is starting to get more awareness in the need to destroy it & trains (while good) are ambushed by good players and useless if bad players use it
Support is probably my favorite class. BAR 19, ammo box, crossbow. The whole class is based around destruction.
in my opinion, the lewis gun low weight variant is my favorite support gun in the game. the fire rate mixed with the damage, and recoil, oh its so good. for assault, the mp 18 experimental is good too.
Mastering scout masters every class, I started B12 as a ptfo scout, sort of like assault, and after 3 months, I can go from point blank to 300 metres. Assault to Scout, I can do everything.
Interesting stuff! BTW could you do a detailed video on flying? I know you did at least one for BF1 but how about another which showcases your key bindings, tactics, etc in greater detail for each plane? I have a terrible time in them but love flying since it adds another dimension to the Battlefield fun. Thanks for all the great vids!

Stats show that on average the hellriegel causes about 10% of all kills in game, its not only used more than the automatico, but also every other gun, vehicle, etc.
As a new player, and even now a few weeks in, I found the support class easy to use, but I hate pretty much everything people like in it... BARs, mortars, limpets.
Im a medic who really loves the cei-rigotti because of the reload animation. seriously I play this game for the "aesthetic." I cant be the only one who plays it for the look and feel of WW1

I think it would be cool if they made a training course for multiplayer so players could practice flying and try new guns before buying them you could even put some type of speed round were you have a timer to hit a certain amount of targets and maybe have a leaderboard for that

Support is my top class. I'd give anyone wanting to play the class this advice--use BAR Storm if you are on the offensive, you can wreck people mid-range and give Assault classes a run for their money up close, just advance with your team, empty the mag, find cover and reload rinse and repeat. For gadgets take the frag grenade crossbow and the ammo crate as this allows you to maximize damage and rain Hell on offensive if you can manage to keep alive. FOR a more DEFENSIVE play style take the MG15 Suppressive. I have 13 Stars with it and it's my most used gun. The MG15 Suppressive will get you 30 kills in a game of conquest and 15 flags defended easy if you get in a covered area and cut anyone approaching down. On Argonne Forest for example guard the D flag using the MG pillbox closest to the railroad track. On Suez get you a nice rooftop on B or D objective and rain hell on C and attackers on the further objective. The optic gives you the ability to reach out further than you'd think and you can harass snipers. For gadgets again take the ammo crate as I tend to use it like a bullet hose and just liberally spray bullets. I use the air burst mortar too because again for a map like Suez it can be fun shoot over hill and take people out on C objective.
I'd also add, at medium to long range it can sometimes be hard to kill a full health player with the slower shooting MG15 but you'll find you get a lot of kill assists counts as kills, and you'll also kill a lot more people who are already damaged than you'd think.

And as far as planes go I think the trenchfighter is a bit OP, land darts need tweaks, plane is super hard to take down while also packing hella punch, a good pilot can go all friggin game harassing you in it.
The LMGs are perfectly fine, especially after the most recent buff. People just need to try new weapons. (My personal favorite weapon in the entire game being either the Lewis Low Weight or the Huot)
People don't know how to play support, really. It's a really good class on operations and rush, where you know where the enemy is coming from. People use the BAR because it's that "shoot on the move" weapon that the support class has, because they are going for kills, not for suppression, resupplying, mortar stressing the enemy. You're the SUPPORT class, not Mr. Big gun killer (that's the sentry BTW).
Watching that flight gameplay was very satisfying.
Mg madsen storm, is a really good and fun weapon on the support class. You just have to get used to the magazine in the middle of the screen
I personally like the Madsen Low Weight and the Huot. Been a support player since BF3 and haven't looked back since.
i actually love the support class, I used to always play assault back in bf3 but I have no issue mowing down people, alot of fun in my opinion
Just got all the multiplayer trophies on BF1, and apart from "Friends in High Places" I find the campaign too boring to bother getting the rest of the trophies. Now just going to have fun with the multiplayer from now on and help my squads get flags :)
