Colt Edwards Only Marksman I use is the 1906 since for whatever reason it's the only one without it. Otherwise I typically go with infantry or sniper varients. I just don't care for the giant diamons of glint, so 1906 marksman is good.

using the Gewer M95 I've noticed im effective both at range and CQB. those follow up shots make it really effective for longer range counter sniping and despite its lack of a sweet spot it slays at close range more than any other rifle I think. I usually wind up being top 5 on my team using it
get siege and if possible get titanfall 2. Trust me titanfall 2 is probably the best game of 2016. Both single and multiplayer is freaking amazing. or u can play bf4 like me. BF4 is way better now.
Dio Cane To be honest i still think that the Martini + Mars still make the best loadout in the game. When i enter in a team death match i still get a very good score with this weapon combination.
I absolutely fell in love with the martini Henry, no other gun has felt more rewarding than it and I'm glad I took the time to get good with it, the martini just feels and sounds so good especially when you nail those multi kills or 1 shot a few people in a row, it's honestly been a really long time since the last time a gun in a game has been able to put a smile on my face like that lol

I got bored playing Scout, so decided to rank up Medic. The Mondragon Sniper is pretty good. 10 rounds in the clip and 1-3 hit kill. Only has 4x scope but once you get used to calculating bullet drop you can bang off 3 shots on target in less than 2 secs. My new fave.

I run all variants of the SMLE MKIII but predominantly the Carbine, M.95 Infantry and the Russian 1895 Infantry/Sniper normally when I run Scout. I like to be a little more aggressive while sniping and the others don't really fit my style. Mainly pop off a flare then move in and start trying to pick guys off as I maneuver around. The SMLE MKIII Carbine with a semi-auto pistol, impact grenade and flares is a pretty good setup for an aggressive sniper.
I wreck with martini henry, I like how it's not blatantly overpowered now and it requires so much skill to use, getting cross map headshots are so satisfying.
Also remember that the lebel can hold 8 rounds in its tube magazine, however with this rifle, the bullets can only be loaded one at a time and doesn't utilize a stripper clip

Right now I'm using the Russian 1985 marksman rifle, but I'll switch to the Gewehr 98 once I get it 3) What's does the toggling of 75, 150, 300 do at the bottom of the screen? 4) How does marking an enemy work? I sometimes tap RB (I'm on Xbox) and nothing happens. Should I scope in then hit RB? 5) Should I always hold the left analog stick to steady the aim to take a shot? Thanks in advance!
1) I don't really know, but you just need to be at long range with either the 1903, G98, or Russian 1895. 2) If you really want to take your time, set it to low. But if you're in Amiens, you need normal. 3) Those are distance toggling. It changes the rifle's distance. 4) I don't know, seeing as i don't play xbox. 5) Yes, unless you're in a rush or have a carbine.
Basically you just have to learn to use them all and adapt to the situation. I personally use the martini henry, the G98 marksman and the 1903. Each weapon is best for different maps, so you cant just use one and hope its good for all maps I reccomend using the bayonet on the martini due to the ridiculously close range you'll be using it at, plus its a back up if that 1 shot doesn't kill them
Anthony Doyle scope users are literally the definition of a normy, that's why I play a lot of line of sight and just use the LOA SMLE cause it is the best rifle for skilled players
I dig gewehr m98 and m1903 as a standard issue rifles as well as the marksman. for medic class I usually take autoloading extended and mondragon storm. Probably the two best rifles for medium/close range.
As far as rifles I don't like anything with scopes. I rarely even use the marksman option, sniper scopes are a no-go. For the most part I only use infantry rifles. That's where I'm most effective at. In the mid range where I can control the flow of enemies and i can take care of objectives. Also I have a deep rooted hate for people who stay by the home base and long snipe from there
from what i see in this video, my own experience being a veteran sniper across multiple battlefield games, and experience in bf1 regardless of the rifle will do the job close quarter or long range. i only switch rifle to get a different optic for different areas. like the carbine in amiens but the sniper in st qutien scar just cause i do have longer unobstructed fields of view to fully utilize them. but never had i had to switch a rifle for a different task, if you know your rifles well you know how to compensate on the fly and make those shots.
for some reason I have best results with the carbine scout, but sometimes it takes two or three hits. I will say the Carbine because its versatile and you don't have to re-adjust as much between shots so you can focus more on position and movements which is great for me because I hate dying while aiming.
Hey westie I think you should have a look at the Russian Trench variant. it plays most like the old version of the Scout in bf4 before they nerfed the rate of fire. It plays very aggressively in short range and isn't going to net you a headshot at most ranges. It is absolutely very fun to use in Rush style gamemodes though and plays different than the g95. Try it out not many people use it.
I think that the spare ammo count in Back To Basics should be raised to 60 rounds (maybe less for the Martini-Henry) instead of 20-25 rounds. This is because an intense firefight can drain your ammo pretty quickly. Plus, 60 rounds is pretty close to the average loadout of the average infantryman in WW1.
i like the Lee Enfield. I think its great cuz i can assist long range to eliminate snipers with scopes support my squad medium range and get in the trenches. i was getting hip to the gewehr riffles too.
I think the Lebel will be a slow firing, slow reloading closer range rifle, in between the SMLE and 1895. The bolt was notoriously sticky, and it reloaded really slowly, so slowly that soldiers often used it as a single round rifle once the 8 rounds had been expended, similar to the Martini Henry,
my 3 favorite sniper rifle is 3 different types since you can have 3 loadouts are the smle infantry,martini Henry,and m9103 or something like that sniper
like using gewehr 98. Normally, that's the range from one point to another. Also, with the high velocity, i am still able to headshot further ranges if needed.
I find the gewehr 98 sniper variant the best I pull off tons of quick shots at short range and pair it with the Mars automatic it works great and for range it's bullet velocity is God like, being I can pick people off and 150m+ in rapid succession without even being noticed until I get about 10+ kill streaks
We need a sniper limit of 5 snipers per team on every server! It's impossible to not die from one , they usually are at some hidden camper spot hundreds of foots away from you!
every rifle in scout class is ok, just depends on what ur after. Best all around id have to say is the gewher 98 & 1895, for ptfo i use the martini, i know ppl need to use the smle for ptfo since they aint that good which its an ok rifle. The M95 cld be used for ptfo but imo it should have a mag size of 10 since it dont have a sweetspot but its an ok rifle. The 1895 trench is also pretty good for aggressive ptfo, i used it to rank up my scout class.
And idk about martini I only use it to get the far kills but at close range I've noticed if you zero to 150 it is always 1 shot kill even after patch though if you only hit them in the chest or head of course.

I still stick with my opinion which is that dice took a risk with taking liberties on ww1! They would have been better off with doing a well researched account of a ww2 game. At the very least, I hope they do this for their next project.
I have a theory for the lebel i want players to try please when it comes out. Only shoot one round at long ranges then reload like a single shot martini henry and then only shoot multiple times like normal if you're in close range. I theorize since the rifle loads like a shotgun in real life it will make reloading extremely slow so you might be at disadvantage in close quarters. It may be wise to keep bullets in reserve for emergencies or closer activity instead of doing the, "I am in the middle of reloading dance," where you scurry around dodging bullets haha
If they introduced the Lebel wish they should, for what I know about the real rifle is like a combination between the Martini Henry and the Winchester Model 1895 or as we know it Russian 1895. It has a pretty cool feature tho you can choose from two different "loading modes" you can do it the old fashion way like the Martini Henry or use the eight bullet capacity chamber below the barrel note that this was the first bolt action rifle so you have to load each bullet at a time there is no bullet clip like the one use to load the Gewehr rifles. I think this is a feature that they should give to the rifle because that's the way it really work and it will set it apart from the other ones. When it comes to shooting it feels a lot like the Martini Henry and the Gewehr when you shooting one bullet at a time feels like the Martini Henry and when you choose those eight bullet feels like the Gewehr 98. I hope my comment help you guys know what we can wait from the Lebel in Battlefield 1. 🤗

The Martini is a single shot falling block and the 1895 is a lever action, while the Lebel is a bolt action with a tube magazine and cartridge lifter. So really the Lebel is like a mix between a bolt action and a shotgun. And btw most rifles from that era had magazine cutoffs. The officers didnt trust the enlisted soldiers with the extra ammo lol.
the sweap spot is a nice mechanic, but i think it is almost useless. never hope for them hehe. to hit it is almost as hard as the head from the front. since the arms are blocking most part of the torsor. just really usefull from the side or the back besides in any range i love the gewehr 98. the best sniper in the game for me

ive gotten moving target head shots with the carbine, and I rarely even hit the head unless I have a still target.

IRL you didnt need to 'unsight' when operating the SMLE, due to its short bolt throw and smooth action

Smle mark 3 carbine can also reload while ads. Check it out. This changes the game. This gun has more bullets and the sweet spot too.
My favourite rifle is the Mars Automatic, but I think the Shotgun-Action mechanic really limits it's potential as a one hit kill LMG.

I still stick with my opinion which is that dice took a risk with taking liberties on ww1! They would have been better off with doing a well researched account of a ww2 game. At the very least, I hope they do this for their next project.

I have a theory for the lebel i want players to try please when it comes out. Only shoot one round at long ranges then reload like a single shot martini henry and then only shoot multiple times like normal if you're in close range. I theorize since the rifle loads like a shotgun in real life it will make reloading extremely slow so you might be at disadvantage in close quarters. It may be wise to keep bullets in reserve for emergencies or closer activity instead of doing the, "I am in the middle of reloading dance," where you scurry around dodging bullets haha
Personally, the SMLE is my preferred, in the Infantry model. I work as less of a sniper, and more of a mid range rifleman/marksman
There should be a classic "Wild West" lever gun that is gate loaded to complement the No. 3 revolver
in game, G98. irl, G98. fits me well in game and really is the father od modern bolt-action rifles.

If they introduced the Lebel wish they should, for what I know about the real rifle is like a combination between the Martini Henry and the Winchester Model 1895 or as we know it Russian 1895. It has a pretty cool feature tho you can choose from two different "loading modes" you can do it the old fashion way like the Martini Henry or use the eight bullet capacity chamber below the barrel note that this was the first bolt action rifle so you have to load each bullet at a time there is no bullet clip like the one use to load the Gewehr rifles. I think this is a feature that they should give to the rifle because that's the way it really work and it will set it apart from the other ones. When it comes to shooting it feels a lot like the Martini Henry and the Gewehr when you shooting one bullet at a time feels like the Martini Henry and when you choose those eight bullet feels like the Gewehr 98. I hope my comment help you guys know what we can wait from the Lebel in Battlefield 1. 🤗
Juan de la Rua ...But its not like either of those guns lol. The Martini is a single shot falling block and the 1895 is a lever action, while the Lebel is a bolt action with a tube magazine and cartridge lifter. So really the Lebel is like a mix between a bolt action and a shotgun. And btw most rifles from that era had magazine cutoffs. The officers didnt trust the enlisted soldiers with the extra ammo lol.

If you're playing as the scout your primary weapon should be the spoting flare, give your team a hand.

the sweap spot is a nice mechanic, but i think it is almost useless. never hope for them hehe. to hit it is almost as hard as the head from the front. since the arms are blocking most part of the torsor. just really usefull from the side or the back

If I’m looking to use the scout class without a scope, what would be the go to option? I play conquest exclusively and am a fairly aggressive player trying to take objectives even as a sniper..
i wish they would have modled the. proper scope for the rifle in place of using the same us scope and British scope for whole game
