For the people that are still complaining about the premium pass (which is actually valid), the pass has been in discount multiple times since the Tsar DLC, making it cost the same as buying one DLC... I don't like the season pass concept, but devs do deserve money for adding extra content to a certain extent, and for ALL the dlc maps for the price of ONE dlc (when in discount), its really a good choice.
Ikr I bought bf1 on 60% sale from black Friday sale. Played it for more then 300hrs, enjoyed ever moment of it. So when the first dlc came out I bought season pass for full price, no regrets!!
The price for the DLC is the same price as the game. Which is rede gulas. Any discount you may have encountered is irreverent. Im not gonna be fooled into this kind of practice. If you wanna be the tool go right ahead. Set the standard for gamers.
Some guns (LMG's especially) have increased recoil, which completely offsets the higher damage. The BAR Telescopic for instance used to be lethal at long range when fired from the bipod. Now the recoil is completely uncontrollable. Higher damage is useless unless you can stay on target.
everything changed. support is complete and utter shit. this is the new meta: 0-30m assult smgs. 30 and above: RSC its that easy and casual. never strey off your range, camp the f out of the game, and youll become top dog. And no, the RSC doesnt require any sort of skill. After this patch youll realise what utter noobs the youtubebrigade for this game is. Level, westie, marbleduck, they all struggle to tell the difference between 15m and 40m, and thats where they want the skill gap to exist. Battlefield is only a range telling game now, its as simple as that.
I've been using the Chauchat a lot more recently. It drops players incredibly fast now. The three hit kill range seems to have been increased and a 4 bullet kill at considerably long ranges.
They should've left the accuracy alone with the lmgs, sure you can do more dmg now but it's pointless if your gonna be missing more rounds (even with low weights that can recover faster)
brandito 98 I agree. I have 500 kills with 47 weapon variants and at least a service star with almost all of them. My most used weapon is the Bedouin dagger with 4,885 kills. I find it fun to use all the weapons and this patch is great.
I have been going with the Farquhar Hill for medic I've enjoyed it. I plan on giving the RSC a try. For support I've using the M1917 I like it better than the M1909 Benet
I would replace the Autoloading Extended with the Mondragon Storm. Both are viable options, but I really enjoy the control you have over the low recoil and high damage output you have with the Mondragon Storm. Other than that, good list.
What? The Benet-Mercie? The M1917 Browning is the viritually the Exact same stats but with 250 round magazine size as you noted, the difference is infinitesimal. You use the BAR to run and gun and I would argue the Madsen Trench is superior. Also the Chauchat telescopic is a murder machine. No reason to use anything but those three.
I love most LMGs but the ones I DON'T like are the BAR because it's overpowered and nooby, the Madsen because of small mag, the chautchat for the same reason and the benet Mercie STORM because why would you use benet Mercie at close range?
I personally love the 1903 experimental (I think that’s the name) it lets you change between bolt action and simi auto 9mm, and the sights on the gun are pretty damn good
I personally just discovered/unlocked the Perino LMG and I find it amazing, especially when prone. Super precise, big magazine, amazing suppressive power. I do not agree with the BAR being the strongest. Granted the damage per shot is high, but the recoil is too much and that small clip means it is not particularly useful as a suppressive weapon.
I think it’s worth talking a little bit more about the infantry variants in the scout class. The Gewehr m.95 and the Martini Henry are great rifles that I found to be really effective.
This is essential a nerf for all aggressive snipers. Those who run around with smle carbine, quick scoping, dropping smg users in one or two shots, will die more often before the follow up shots.
Mort Guo Nonsense, Aggressive scouts can still take on infantry, The patch incentivises strategy and for scouts that means changing positions and flanking.
The cachouat (I butchered the spelling ) is really good imo. 3 shot at close range, or with a headshot bodyshot it's a 2 shot. You have to be accurate but imo a really good support weapon post patch
The three shot at close range was always there yeah, but it got extended and the gun also kills in 4 shots at any range past the 3 shot limit, which sets it apart
How is the Fyodorov not being the best medic gun? It is basically an assult rifle in world war 1. I know RSC is guarantee two shot kill, but in most situation, especially in CQC and medium range combat, Fyodorov out run the RSC and even a number of SMGs and MGs. Tho, I liked both RSC and Fyodorov as they are great guns, and the best gun in my mind is Cei Rigotti, which I had been using it since the beta of BF1. Loved its mechanism, its appearance and the sound.
Bc the fedorov isn't effective past medium range. My favorite rifles are the Farquhar and the new Howell, but the fedorov is usually still my go to medic gun but I don't think it's the best
I did a test of this patch earlier and I noticed the MP18 Trench a little bit more accurate than it used to be. That's usually my go to weapons for the Assault class and other than that I used the A-10 Hunter a few times and the Cei-Rigotti and Selbstlader 1916 for the Medic class which I enjoyed more than I used to. But the sniper rifles... That's 80% of the reason I like BF1 and nothing has changed. Thanks for this video.
Fedorov optical is a beast right now. It was my go to weapon before the patch and now I'm really loving the gun. I'm WAY more effective frontline medic when it comes to killing people around me and then reviving my poor teammates who jumped into the trenches before me.
How do you feel about the Selbstlader M1916 and its variants now? I know back when the game first released, you rated it pretty highly among the medic guns, and I've always preferred that gun over most for more mid-long range medic engagements on open maps.
Toast3r_MWO The selb 1916 feels like the Mondragon used to feel- I was never a big fan because of the bouncy recoil pattern, But now It feels pretty good at Mid Range, And the marksman variant can easily reach out and Hit scouts. I prefer the Farquhar-Hill, But the Selb 1916 Is a good choice for an all-Around medic rifle.
I don’t know if I’m correct, but it feels like the Selbstlader M1916 has become more accurate since the release. My favorite semi-auto rifle for mid-range engagements.
Scout class has one ultimate weapon and it's call SMLE Carbine. With the assistance of periscope, you can easily snip anyone at long distance and as a Carbine it's perfect for mid range and also if you are like me, you can rush for objectives and use it at close rage. If you don't misses you shot, it's a one shot killer (10 bullets per round).
Nuckerball I barely play bf1 always on bf4 think the new ttk is much better feels closer to bf4 gunfights are smoother where as before I couldn't nail when to stop shooting and move on to another target ttk I felt was unpredictable
m1917 trench carbine is pretty crazy for short to medium ranges. Crazy accuracy man, and so little recoil. It's assault. I don't remember how I even got the gun I just saw it in my primary weapon slot thing and I decided to use it. Love it.
the word you were looking for when referring to the loading of the benet-mercie was feed strips...the rest of the guns in the base game use either a removable/tube magazine or in block/stripper clips.....and cant forget a single shot martini henry action
I like the Ross MkIII infantry for close to mid range and to take out mid targets without revealing my position, and it has a good fire rate and has the straight pull bolt
Tiga The sweet spot mechanic is a pretty huge buff to begin with. I switched from SMLE to MH/Arisaka to play more aggressively too, this simply makes me have to play more tactically. Get a shot off, move to cover while pulling sidearm, then finish off with the sidearm. Scout class wasn't designed to take on a whole squad
cryangallegos I see where you are coming from, scouts are now limited to ranges that many probably feel they belong. But they feel relatively displaced given every other class got a damage buffs (medic rifles can now be used at their peak RPM with their new stability). Especially when it comes to PTFO-ing.
I think the Farquarhill Optical is one of the most versatile guns in the medic class now. Well it was before, but even more so now. Its one of the more accurate medic guns, and now with the SIPS buff you can maintain that accuracy near its max ROF easier. This added with its max damage range increase gives it very solid DPS. And of course its got the mag capacity to handle quite a few enemies, especially now that you'll be able to land more of those shots. I regularly drop 4-5 enemies per mag now post TTK patch. The SIPS buff also significantly increased its CQB hip fire performance. I find myself winning the majority of these engagements now where as before it was more like a 50/50 deal.
No mention of the 1903 experimental? It definitely feels a lot better to use now, and is probably on par with the Model 8 Extended if you're playing aggressive sniper.
Simon underated by level cap himself, I love it cos no one uses it and it literally tears 540 fr is good up there with riberolles mp18 but higher damage and with the 30 round mag you can tear shit up I love it on team deathmatch
Yeah, died many times due to the mag obscuring the screen and losing track of targets. Fantastic stats however - can be really effective at all distances.
smt2542 it's more close to medium range but I took out 8 people in a row with it earlier hip firing and it can go up against a hellriegel hip firing and at mid distance it will destroy a hellriegel aiming down sights, you can get used to the mag doesn't obstruct too much
I find the low weight and trench variants better. At least on PC. The low weight becomes accurate faster. The trench competes with smgs at close and everything at mid.
Anyone else not happy with the new update? Its almost impossible to react to anyone shooting at you. I often turn the corner into an enemy and i start shooting and half a second later im dead. This is compounded by the fact that automatic weapons now take longer to ads. Its really frustrating to play now, and ive noticed a lot of the top players are getting lower k/d.
When it comes to shotguns, I always turned to the Model 10-A, like everyone else. The M97 and 1900 were also great as well. I tried really hard to like the semi-auto shotguns like the 12G automatic and Sjögren Inertial, but I just couldn’t before the patch. However, after the patch, the semiauto shotguns have got a lot of love. The 12G automatic has actually become usable beyond point blank range (still a 2 shot kill, but it’s way more consistent, and the Sjögren can now reliably 1-shot enemies. I actually find myself using it more than the model 1900 I have 14 service stars with, and its WAY better for dealing with more than 1-2 people.
I was loving the Perino then after the patch I feel like it takes me more hits to kill. :/ It must be the nerf in accuracy. I see hit marker after hit marker and folks just run off. Still looking for my new support gun.

I had this issue too. After taking installing the update, it still wouldn’t connect, so I had to restart it a few times before an in-game update option pooped up
I like the mg 15 suppressive for support. It has a high enough rate of fire you can hip fire at close range if you have to. It is very good biopsies as well if you don’t just fire without stopping

Though I agree on some of these guns being the best in their class, e.g. your picks for the assault class, I believe some other guns deserved to be in this video. I personally really enjoy using the Lebel Model sniper rifle, the Farquhar-Hill Optical and the Mondragon Optical.
Personally, my favorite LMG since the patch has been the M1917 .30 Browning MG. Even when shooting while standing, I can get multiple kills at medium range. And I agree with the Ribeyrolles, although I liked that gun even before the upgrades, partially due to it's uniqueness (one of the first weapons that could be called an Assault Rifle) & the fact that it had decent stats & a viable alternative to the over-used noobriegel & noobmatico. For Medic, still like the Farquahr-Hill & Fedorov Avtomat, depending on which map I'm on, but then again, I'm one of those medics who likes to stick close to the assault & support players so I can get them meds & revives quickly while under fire. Haven't done much sniping since the patch came out, so I have nothing to add there....

The Mg 14/17 is a laser beam if you bipod it tho, it also comes in suppressive so it also is a good option for long range. It also has great TTK and has 100 rounds ready to use. It also can combat in close range if you can control the recoil. I like the mg 14/17 as I find it versatile. Some others may not but I figured out how to use it best.
From short to somewhat long range i use the Ross MkIII Marksman which has straight pull(I use it with 3.50x Magnification). It's very useful for when soldiers are rushing your spot.

It's a shame they ruined the Automatico. Can't go full-auto and get a kill from more than 5-10 meters away after that recoil nerf. Used to be able to get 2-3 kills per mag, now only about 1 per 1-2 mags depending on the range. Gun was amazing at launch.
jimmy karlsson anywhere within 5-10 meters (basically all CQC) it's still a monster and will melt anyone and everyone, but anything after that you've gotta tap the trigger or else you're basically asking to be turned on.
Don't use the automatico if you plan to fight on distances where you need to ads. Me, personaly, am glad the automatico got nerfed. It still is the weapon I have the most kills with. But I'm not using it regularly for ages. Instead the Ribeyrolles is my new favourite. It's useful in close and midrange combat.
i think we've gone past the point of bitching about the premium pass. it is much lower in price than it was and now offers a lot of extra maps and weapons. If you're looking to get the most out of BF1, the question becomes why would you not get it? It isn't expensive.
NOt really for medic. Cei Rigotti Trench is and always has been an excellent alternative for more punch than my favourite the Autoloading Extended. Selbslader Marksman and Optical are still excellent. Yes RSC is good but too many players can't down someone in 5 shots so spam medic rifles and will still avoid the RSC. Hellreigel and 10A Hunter are still the best Assault. So non premium players have as many options. I can't think of 1 DLC weapon that I would use solely over a vanilla one. I use them all in reality just to try out everything and adjust playstyle.
selbstlader muzzle velocity is bad, pretty sure they nerfed it since launch, not to talk about itps recoil + accuracy... when i played with rigotti was as soon as game came out and was shit, 5 or 6 shots to kill lel when i use that shotgun ppl dont die from 1 shot when they are 5 meters from me whereas the dlc shottys kill me from 20 meters. Fedorov is way too op and p2w, full auto, kills with like 4 or 5 shtos at all ranges lel when i used autoloading it did like 18 dmg each shot
Shite patch. They gave buffs to guns that didn't need it. Why did the Hellriegal get a buff? I know it's range is a tad bit worse but come on dice. The 10-A is still op compared to any other shotgun period. The automatico still is the best smg with the nerf barely having an effect. Medic rifles got BUFFED...why when you're killed in bf1 it's typically by a medic or assault they didn't need a buff. What are you doing..the only thing I'm happy about is LMG buff. Looks like I'll be going back to BF4 since they don't know how to properly patch this game. I'm sure some fan boy is gonna get pissy but whatever enjoy your unbalanced game.
Michael Cromwell it doesnt even sound like you played a game to try it out. In my experience everyones using different guns now. Pretty much all the weapons are now at a level playing field.
They arent actually balancing guns they are giving us what weve asked since the beginning of this game and that is a lower ttk. Firefights are much more enjoyable now man and guns that were awful before are now pretty fun to use believe me. The best guns are (the majority) still the best guns but everything else got better
Michael Cromwell why don't you look at the values of the buffs rather than just read "the hellriegel has been buffed..." without seeing the "by (blah blah) values." and the model 10 a fits its role by being able to kill a single person, but it has a slow fire rate so literally more than 1 person can make the gun not so good when compared to shit like the trench gun or sjorgen. And medic rifles needed that buff when they're meant to take on long range targets, and hey guess what now they actually can, and don't say "but I get killed by them while playing assault/medic" when they've just buffed those two classes to be stronger in their proper engagement ranges
Benet Mercie doesn't have much going for it, in comparison to the other weapons It sounds, looks and feels cool, but: - Mag is small - Rate of fire is slow - Long reload I'd say: BAR/Burton - If you look for close combat MG15/Lewis - If you want versatility M1917/Perino - Pure firepower and supressing the enemy Parrabelum - *bullets go brrrr*
Jared Walters get good, learn to actually use strategy and positioning to do well like in any other battlefield game rather than just facing people head to head because they have a low ttk weapon

Kaito Em Kai I don’t get why so many ppl think that low ttk equals a high skill ceiling, cause it doesn’t. Maybe in a game that is all about being stealthy, but here it simply means that you can be less accurate and still get a kill. It also means that a good player that could react to an enemy shooting them from behind or take on multiple opponents might not have time to do so anymore. It’s a reason why most casual shooters have low ttk.
Unflushable Joe Yea but for the majority of the veteran battlefield community lower ttks are prefered as it was like that in older bfs and it makes thr game more enjoyable for us. And also it gives you a higher skill ceiling when talking about positioning and strategic movement as u gotta be more careful about open areas and flanking. Also most competitive games have lower and more realistic ttks, like rainbow six and counter strike for example, but they increase recoil and the skill needed to use the guns is higher, but what i mean is: low ttk isnt a casual game thing the only casual games i know that have low ttk are cod and bf (just pointing that by casual i dont mean easier, i mean not competitive)

What? The Benet-Mercie? The M1917 Browning is the viritually the Exact same stats but with 250 round magazine size as you noted, the difference is infinitesimal. You use the BAR to run and gun and I would argue the Madsen Trench is superior. Also the Chauchat telescopic is a murder machine. No reason to use anything but those three.

I love most LMGs but the ones I DON'T like are the BAR because it's overpowered and nooby, the Madsen because of small mag, the chautchat for the same reason and the benet Mercie STORM because why would you use benet Mercie at close range?

I personally just discovered/unlocked the Perino LMG and I find it amazing, especially when prone. Super precise, big magazine, amazing suppressive power. I do not agree with the BAR being the strongest. Granted the damage per shot is high, but the recoil is too much and that small clip means it is not particularly useful as a suppressive weapon.

I think it’s worth talking a little bit more about the infantry variants in the scout class. The Gewehr m.95 and the Martini Henry are great rifles that I found to be really effective.
This is essential a nerf for all aggressive snipers. Those who run around with smle carbine, quick scoping, dropping smg users in one or two shots, will die more often before the follow up shots.

The cachouat (I butchered the spelling ) is really good imo. 3 shot at close range, or with a headshot bodyshot it's a 2 shot. You have to be accurate but imo a really good support weapon post patch

How is the Fyodorov not being the best medic gun? It is basically an assult rifle in world war 1. I know RSC is guarantee two shot kill, but in most situation, especially in CQC and medium range combat, Fyodorov out run the RSC and even a number of SMGs and MGs.
Tho, I liked both RSC and Fyodorov as they are great guns, and the best gun in my mind is Cei Rigotti, which I had been using it since the beta of BF1. Loved its mechanism, its appearance and the sound.
Bc the fedorov isn't effective past medium range. My favorite rifles are the Farquhar and the new Howell, but the fedorov is usually still my go to medic gun but I don't think it's the best
I did a test of this patch earlier and I noticed the MP18 Trench a little bit more accurate than it used to be. That's usually my go to weapons for the Assault class and other than that I used the A-10 Hunter a few times and the Cei-Rigotti and Selbstlader 1916 for the Medic class which I enjoyed more than I used to. But the sniper rifles... That's 80% of the reason I like BF1 and nothing has changed. Thanks for this video.

Fedorov optical is a beast right now. It was my go to weapon before the patch and now I'm really loving the gun. I'm WAY more effective frontline medic when it comes to killing people around me and then reviving my poor teammates who jumped into the trenches before me.
How do you feel about the Selbstlader M1916 and its variants now? I know back when the game first released, you rated it pretty highly among the medic guns, and I've always preferred that gun over most for more mid-long range medic engagements on open maps.
Toast3r_MWO The selb 1916 feels like the Mondragon used to feel- I was never a big fan because of the bouncy recoil pattern, But now It feels pretty good at Mid Range, And the marksman variant can easily reach out and Hit scouts. I prefer the Farquhar-Hill, But the Selb 1916 Is a good choice for an all-Around medic rifle.

I don’t know if I’m correct, but it feels like the Selbstlader M1916 has become more accurate since the release. My favorite semi-auto rifle for mid-range engagements.
Scout class has one ultimate weapon and it's call SMLE Carbine. With the assistance of periscope, you can easily snip anyone at long distance and as a Carbine it's perfect for mid range and also if you are like me, you can rush for objectives and use it at close rage. If you don't misses you shot, it's a one shot killer (10 bullets per round).

m1917 trench carbine is pretty crazy for short to medium ranges. Crazy accuracy man, and so little recoil. It's assault. I don't remember how I even got the gun I just saw it in my primary weapon slot thing and I decided to use it. Love it.

Tiga The sweet spot mechanic is a pretty huge buff to begin with. I switched from SMLE to MH/Arisaka to play more aggressively too, this simply makes me have to play more tactically. Get a shot off, move to cover while pulling sidearm, then finish off with the sidearm. Scout class wasn't designed to take on a whole squad
cryangallegos I see where you are coming from, scouts are now limited to ranges that many probably feel they belong. But they feel relatively displaced given every other class got a damage buffs (medic rifles can now be used at their peak RPM with their new stability). Especially when it comes to PTFO-ing.
I think the Farquarhill Optical is one of the most versatile guns in the medic class now. Well it was before, but even more so now. Its one of the more accurate medic guns, and now with the SIPS buff you can maintain that accuracy near its max ROF easier. This added with its max damage range increase gives it very solid DPS. And of course its got the mag capacity to handle quite a few enemies, especially now that you'll be able to land more of those shots. I regularly drop 4-5 enemies per mag now post TTK patch.
The SIPS buff also significantly increased its CQB hip fire performance. I find myself winning the majority of these engagements now where as before it was more like a 50/50 deal.
In my opinion I think the Russian 1895 sniper is the best sniper, I tried all the other snipers but could get any kills
No mention of the 1903 experimental? It definitely feels a lot better to use now, and is probably on par with the Model 8 Extended if you're playing aggressive sniper.

Yeah, died many times due to the mag obscuring the screen and losing track of targets. Fantastic stats however - can be really effective at all distances.
smt2542 it's more close to medium range but I took out 8 people in a row with it earlier hip firing and it can go up against a hellriegel hip firing and at mid distance it will destroy a hellriegel aiming down sights, you can get used to the mag doesn't obstruct too much
I find the low weight and trench variants better. At least on PC. The low weight becomes accurate faster. The trench competes with smgs at close and everything at mid.

Anyone else not happy with the new update? Its almost impossible to react to anyone shooting at you. I often turn the corner into an enemy and i start shooting and half a second later im dead. This is compounded by the fact that automatic weapons now take longer to ads. Its really frustrating to play now, and ive noticed a lot of the top players are getting lower k/d.

Actually there is no best it really all comes down to your play style you have to see for your self what gun works the best for you
When it comes to shotguns, I always turned to the Model 10-A, like everyone else. The M97 and 1900 were also great as well. I tried really hard to like the semi-auto shotguns like the 12G automatic and Sjögren Inertial, but I just couldn’t before the patch. However, after the patch, the semiauto shotguns have got a lot of love. The 12G automatic has actually become usable beyond point blank range (still a 2 shot kill, but it’s way more consistent, and the Sjögren can now reliably 1-shot enemies. I actually find myself using it more than the model 1900 I have 14 service stars with, and its WAY better for dealing with more than 1-2 people.

I like the mg 15 suppressive for support. It has a high enough rate of fire you can hip fire at close range if you have to. It is very good biopsies as well if you don’t just fire without stopping

Though I agree on some of these guns being the best in their class, e.g. your picks for the assault class, I believe some other guns deserved to be in this video. I personally really enjoy using the Lebel Model sniper rifle, the Farquhar-Hill Optical and the Mondragon Optical.

Personally, my favorite LMG since the patch has been the M1917 .30 Browning MG. Even when shooting while standing, I can get multiple kills at medium range. And I agree with the Ribeyrolles, although I liked that gun even before the upgrades, partially due to it's uniqueness (one of the first weapons that could be called an Assault Rifle) & the fact that it had decent stats & a viable alternative to the over-used noobriegel & noobmatico. For Medic, still like the Farquahr-Hill & Fedorov Avtomat, depending on which map I'm on, but then again, I'm one of those medics who likes to stick close to the assault & support players so I can get them meds & revives quickly while under fire. Haven't done much sniping since the patch came out, so I have nothing to add there....
support class is dead on console. pointless increasing damage if u can't ht the target, by the time you ads a medic kills you, in every engagement

The Mg 14/17 is a laser beam if you bipod it tho, it also comes in suppressive so it also is a good option for long range. It also has great TTK and has 100 rounds ready to use. It also can combat in close range if you can control the recoil. I like the mg 14/17 as I find it versatile. Some others may not but I figured out how to use it best.

From short to somewhat long range i use the Ross MkIII Marksman which has straight pull(I use it with 3.50x Magnification). It's very useful for when soldiers are rushing your spot.

It's a shame they ruined the Automatico. Can't go full-auto and get a kill from more than 5-10 meters away after that recoil nerf. Used to be able to get 2-3 kills per mag, now only about 1 per 1-2 mags depending on the range. Gun was amazing at launch.

anywhere within 5-10 meters (basically all CQC) it's still a monster and will melt anyone and everyone, but anything after that you've gotta tap the trigger or else you're basically asking to be turned on.

Don't use the automatico if you plan to fight on distances where you need to ads. Me, personaly, am glad the automatico got nerfed. It still is the weapon I have the most kills with. But I'm not using it regularly for ages. Instead the Ribeyrolles is my new favourite. It's useful in close and midrange combat.
They buffed it in the cte so it can be more accurate, and the ribeyrolles got nerfed as well, so theyll probably release all that in the next patch

i think we've gone past the point of bitching about the premium pass. it is much lower in price than it was and now offers a lot of extra maps and weapons. If you're looking to get the most out of BF1, the question becomes why would you not get it? It isn't expensive.

NOt really for medic. Cei Rigotti Trench is and always has been an excellent alternative for more punch than my favourite the Autoloading Extended. Selbslader Marksman and Optical are still excellent. Yes RSC is good but too many players can't down someone in 5 shots so spam medic rifles and will still avoid the RSC. Hellreigel and 10A Hunter are still the best Assault. So non premium players have as many options. I can't think of 1 DLC weapon that I would use solely over a vanilla one. I use them all in reality just to try out everything and adjust playstyle.
selbstlader muzzle velocity is bad, pretty sure they nerfed it since launch, not to talk about itps recoil + accuracy... when i played with rigotti was as soon as game came out and was shit, 5 or 6 shots to kill lel when i use that shotgun ppl dont die from 1 shot when they are 5 meters from me whereas the dlc shottys kill me from 20 meters. Fedorov is way too op and p2w, full auto, kills with like 4 or 5 shtos at all ranges lel when i used autoloading it did like 18 dmg each shot

Shite patch. They gave buffs to guns that didn't need it. Why did the Hellriegal get a buff? I know it's range is a tad bit worse but come on dice. The 10-A is still op compared to any other shotgun period. The automatico still is the best smg with the nerf barely having an effect. Medic rifles got BUFFED...why when you're killed in bf1 it's typically by a medic or assault they didn't need a buff. What are you doing..the only thing I'm happy about is LMG buff. Looks like I'll be going back to BF4 since they don't know how to properly patch this game. I'm sure some fan boy is gonna get pissy but whatever enjoy your unbalanced game.

Firefights are much more enjoyable now man and guns that were awful before are now pretty fun to use believe me. The best guns are (the majority) still the best guns but everything else got better
Michael Cromwell why don't you look at the values of the buffs rather than just read "the hellriegel has been buffed..." without seeing the "by (blah blah) values." and the model 10 a fits its role by being able to kill a single person, but it has a slow fire rate so literally more than 1 person can make the gun not so good when compared to shit like the trench gun or sjorgen. And medic rifles needed that buff when they're meant to take on long range targets, and hey guess what now they actually can, and don't say "but I get killed by them while playing assault/medic" when they've just buffed those two classes to be stronger in their proper engagement ranges

Maybe in a game that is all about being stealthy, but here it simply means that you can be less accurate and still get a kill. It also means that a good player that could react to an enemy shooting them from behind or take on multiple opponents might not have time to do so anymore. It’s a reason why most casual shooters have low ttk.

Also most competitive games have lower and more realistic ttks, like rainbow six and counter strike for example, but they increase recoil and the skill needed to use the guns is higher, but what i mean is: low ttk isnt a casual game thing the only casual games i know that have low ttk are cod and bf (just pointing that by casual i dont mean easier, i mean not competitive)
