XMaxx Test New Max6 combo 5687 1100kv and WFO gears

- First run off the bench. Gave it a light beating Was a nice day, kinda windy and about 85 deg. 2nd run tested with higher temps 135 esc / 120 motor.
Testing made me hopeful that it will run cool enough to
handle our 100 deg + days in the summer
Im lucky enough to live near A Main Hobbies.... order and pick up the next day (nothing stays broken for long) i get most of hobby items from them.

Running 21/35? I just bought the Bowhouse and a hot racing 50T. Smallest pinion with the riser is 33 that fits. Do you think that’s too much for mod 1? Have a max6.
Hi thanks for asking.. I never did research on mod 1 gears.. but the video from Exocaged has the motor mount in one of his videos. He runs mod 1 gears. My final gear was 23/35 mod 1.5 with risers. Close ratio. I thinK it would work. My ratio is 1.52 ..yours a 1.51. Run it til it breaks and go Vitavon 1.5 mod
I think 1.5 will be the way to go. But do you see any issues by giving up the Cush drive? There is a guy who sell a 35t spur mod 1.5 that fits on the stock spur shaft to keep the Cush. So I’m trying to decide between WFO with their D shaped gears or vitavon or saga pinion with this special Cush Drive spur. Thanks.
@@howardsadofsky7694I saw that in a video... it appeared it would be hard to get and i was not willing to wait (lazy) so i gave up the cush drive. I do believe it would be best to keep the cush if possible to avoid blowing diffs with high power systems to absorb the shock from drivetrain. I was gonna follow up with the 1.5 cush drive gear once i get the things i have done dialed in. also a vitavon ger cover... crap get in there...
I ordered The Vivaton 25-35. Hopefully my max 6 will be sufficient. Got a cheap mod 1.5 cover on eBay. Will let u know if it works. You get different opinions on the Cush Drive. Rich Duper bash says it’s a waste.
Good deal!! Vitavon stuff looks awesome. The bowhouse motor and risers claim a max tooth count of 60 w / mod 1.5 gears...could not get the mesh loose enough... 3 layers of aluminum tape on the bottom of the risers got the 25T pinion to work...crashed bad and i think the motor moved and could not get it back, maybe dirt? Finally put a 23T pinion on and now its mesh is great... im going for for fix it and forget it.
