I adjusted it by doing around 1-1.5 tablespoons, I usually start with a smaller amount so I can adjust the spiciness level in the end. In the soy sauce mixture I also added one spoon of ketchup, & a half spoon of honey which also helped to adjust the spicy level and balance it.
This was absolutely delicious I swapped out the scallions with a lil onion and added the instant seasoning that came with the noodles as well and topped it off with some cheddar cheese. I’m craving for more already 😭😭

When I made this recipe I thought the person making it was a liar when it came to the spice level. they were not. i have a really good spice tolerance normally but I stood out of my seat and ran to the sink to drink some water the first bite. flavor was amazing though.
I used konjac noodles to make this and reduced the honey. Added some sesame oil and changed chili flakes to a handfuls of thai birds eyes chillies (pounded) 😂 idk it's just that i never find chillies flakes to be spicy
@@RG-lv1se there are a lot of brands in my country but mostly are labelled as 'skinny noodles'. It's simply konjac/shirataki noodles. It also comes in rice or wide noodles form because we asian need to eat 'rice' even during diet😂😅 Really chewy and might smell fishy for beginner. If it is your first time to eat it, I suggest you boil the noodles for 5min and add a little splash of vinegar to remove the smell😊 I love it since it's less than 20 cal per 100g (depend on the brand) and you can add a lot of vegetables to balance the nutrients. Btw, it's also available in spaghetti, fettuccine and angel hair form here in Malaysia

Also, after first overy hot spicey attempt 2 Tablespoons, cut pepper flakes to 1 TEASPOON, sauteed with green onions/garlic in SESAME oil, also added 1 Tablespoon Fish Sauce to soy/water…much more authentic Asian ingredients.
