@@yourboyfefe5736 What's wrong with me is a little high school biology. Have you ever had some kind of sore or cut in your mouth, have you ever had a sore throat, nasal infection? The biology behind it is that single cell pathogens, like viruses and some bacteria, have to live in a state of equilibrium with their environment. If you increase the saltiness of their environment, the organism will excrete water from its body (cell) so that is can be at the same level of saltiness as the environment. They will excrete so much water that they implode and kill themselves. That's how salt is useful for some medicinal purposes. If you ever get a sinus infection try doing a nasal douche or use an eye dropper with gargle strength salty water, breathe it in through your nose, you will feel it go into your sinus cavities, positioning you head at different angels will send it to different sinus cavities, look for diagram online to see where they are located. The salty water helps break up mucus as well as causing the virus to kill itself. WARNING: if you make it too strong it will take you breathe away, so be careful.

Bit of a mistake with the grams at 7:37 : 1.5g of salt has 590 mg (milligrams) of sodium. That means 0.59 grams of sodium. I suppose it's the same at 7:25 (1 gram of salt has 388 milligrams of sodium). On another word, love your video and your channel Simeon! @@agonleed3841 Do you drink coffee? That drink really messes with how salts are processed in your body. Also, Is your job stressful and do you deal well with stress? Because stress management is also very important for blood pressure. People say you need to do Yoga, but fuck that shit, just doing some aerobic exercise is good enough. Although, myself I have a back injury, so I have to do some Pilates exercises and it does require keeping my mind clear so that not to get frustrated about my injury. Apparently it's good for the blood pressure too.

It's important to understand that the 2.3g of sodium daily requirement is not set for every day and any time of the year. It depends on many things, like how hot or cold it is where you are, how much water you drink on that day, how much exercise you did that day etc. Exercising a lot depletes sodium, drinking lots of water dilutes your body's salt content, hot weather makes you sweat etc etc.
All these factors have to be taken into consideration.

Thank you. Great video sir. Salt in food has an interesting history as we began to preserve food such that its more related to profits than health these days. I slow cook with premade sauces which can vary Sodium by 700% and then increase potency by removing the water in cooking over several hours. Quickly changing salt concentration can have bad symptoms as cells swell and shrink in the brain in relation to salt concentration. Eat clean and stay thirsty my friends.

The trace minerals that occur in sea salts change the the way that the sodium is metabolized by the body. In nature sodium doesn’t occur without other trace minerals. Some studies have found that table salt (sodium chloride made in a factory) is linked to higher rates of hypertension and other ailments. The body needs the trace minerals and sodium together.

Snack: 2 wheat rice cakes, almond butter or peanut butter 1 tbl, sliced apple or banana and cinnamon.
Food: fish or chicken, half cup whole grain rice and veggie.

    After work out- protein drink?
(Question) when working out on body part and then cardio say 45min. Do you workout then drink protein and then cardio OR workout and cardio then protein??????

as simeon has said elsewhere, moderation and balance is key. salt isn't inherently bad, and if a person is at all interested in getting into more homemade meals salt is important and extremely helpful. there's a reason every chef keeps some salt at hand. roasted chicken must be so bland at simeon's place.

Personally, I will always use salt but not in large amounts. However, I get what Simeon is trying to say about sodium. Too much sodium leads to excess fat.
