Imagine opening a portal under someone's feet on a map like olympus?
Ultimate 3rd party push legend. Basically you’ll get to push a team pretty safely for free. You could drop a portal from way back and push a team than if you need to get out you drop it and reset. Even teams holding a building can’t hold it if her tactical teleports through walls…she low key OP if used right. She’s basically more of a team based ability wraith.
But the other team can also use the portal.
It’s not an instant teleport back, there’s an animation and also you have to look at the direction of your portal. Revenants would instantly send you back
Can’t wait for the wraith - alter rivalry/frendship that’ll happen this season.
W : “Who invited the copycat”
A : “In my universe, you’re still bald, trust me, it doesn’t suit you.”
W : “I’ll split you in two with a portal”

You know how sometimes the maggie drill doesn't go all the way through the object and gets stuck in the middle of it? I wouldn't imagine it going well if it happened to the portal.
I think it will teleport you into the wall sometimes and you will just die

I don't think it's THAT broken tbh. Given that she has to teleport back the minute she uses it, it does seem to be like a heavy set up ult which is fair cause your teammates can only use it after you use so essentially its like a 2 v 3 if you use it as an engagement tool. Also the not instant teleport is fair.

It seems balanced. You can get out of unfavorable situations but it's far more risky when someone is actively shooting at you because of the animation delay.

i wish they would put these portal abilities togheter with movment so there is a bit of variety , like portal hopping or portal boost , would make you feel 10 times more baddass

The tac is kind of disappointing to me. I thought that it would just open a portal kind of just like breaking a hole in the wall for a bit. Where you can look through and even shoot through and I thought that would great counter controller legends like rampart and wattson blocking off doors, just open the wall. But this is way different. Maybe what I thought it was would have been to op

With the ult will your teammates have to hold the button down aswell or will it activate a portal after you go through it that your teammates can just run into?
They can only use it after you activate it. Once you do they can press same button to go there too just be within 200m of it

@@Ash-pt6ih also it's destroyable till you activate it. Once it's activated it can't be destroyed, so put it somewhere safe till you need to interact with the ultimate similar to how you would hide a rev totem

Lore theory:
There is a loading screen in the season 20 battle pass where horizon is discussing how she needs a stronger material to power the time gauntlet. Maybe the crystal at the end of alters tail will be used to power the time gauntlet. It has power to break reality so it could probably power the gauntlet. Also the energy on the crystal looks exactly like the time gauntlets energy in titanfall 2

I can see the ult being super useful but situational. Like u gotta be one place and then another to actually make use of it. But can see it being like you wanna go push a team or 3rd party. U throw ur ult down go push then retreat back to safety. Or you push and make a bad play. Need to retreat n use the ult. Things like that.
Imagine enemies pushing towards you over a brigde or a platform and you just put a tactical on the ground. If anyone could manage to send a whole Squad to the abyss with this, it would be hilarious 😂

30 second recharge base on the tactical > 10 second reduction upgrade > tactical lasts 10 seconds already > You'll have a portal per Alter open every 10 seconds. This could remove entire walls and floors of rooms.

You shoot it at the wall and you walk through to the other side
With buildings that are elevated in the air you can slap this there underneath then use a horizon Q to get inside through the floor, or the roof, or anywhere you want to breach in

U set it then at anytime in a pinch u just open it. Im.pretty sure u will be able to move as well like Into cover while looking at and holding it
