Cool song, always interesting perspective on the gear and creative ways to enjoy; and then behind all that a gentle soul sharing what he loves. Magnifico. Thank you, Alec.
I need to stop watching your videos cause they make my wallet hurt. Your channel is one of the best on TH-cam hands down. You talk about the gear quickly and to the point then contextualize everything and it’s fantastic. Killer work as always man 👏🏻 and I both love and hate you for showing me that this exists. I’m a huge space echo fan and use the Arturia version all the time. I was considering trying to find a vintage unit but I don’t have to because these exist.
Thank you so much for the kind words Jonathan! :) I can relate. Some of thing things I try, I just have to buy. It’s a dangerous thing to review gear! Watching reviews Is just as dangerous. I’m glad you like the echo-fix! :)
When I see your videos come up I get more excited to hear your music than the damn gear. Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good… please start releasing these songs, sir!
Ahh thank you! :) it’s more a time balance situation. I produce and mix records to make a living, so I can only work on TH-cam and my personal productions when I have time to do it. Hopefully over the next few months the scale will move to a more evenly balanced time allocation. :) Love that saying!
Hi Alec, great review as usual! I completely agree with you that having hardware to play with push you into creativity far batter than just moving your mouse on the screen. Last year I have got my first studio preamp and I am trying to (very slowly) build a home studio for my own music production. Your videos are instructive and inspiring. I think if I had ever the chance to record my music in a professional studio would be at the Cabin. Please let us know when you will release your music. I really like it All the best & keep going on. Giovanni
Alex love your channel, and I love this unit. A question off the topic of this video however, do you work in one room or do you have two seperate rooms? I ask just to find out that if you work all in one room, how do you find it? I am guessing because you are a songwriter and when doing your own music you require access to your console etc etc and one room suits that as opposed to running back and forth between two rooms? So again, just wondering how you find it. The sounds and tones you create from your own recordings sound great from the space you create in. I am only going from your youtube videos which I see you do mostly in one room, and I gather you might have a bigger facility, hence my questioning. Either way, all sounds great! Good work!
Thanks for the comment! :) I generally use one room if I am working by myself. In the warehouse where the studio is, there are rehearsal rooms. I have one of those connected to the studio for when I need to record multiple people at once. :)

Thanks Lauren! :) hope you are doing well.

Hey Geovanni! :) thanks for the kind words! Real effects are really quite something, I can’t wait to get my hands on more creative units. 👌🏽
I’m gonna go ahead and like this video after 10 seconds.
Thank you so much Abr! :)
Amazing demo as always!
Thank you Daniel! :)
Refurbed my Re-301 with Echo Fix parts, great company.
The EF-X2 sounds beautiful, cleaner than the Roland, nice contrast.
Keep up the good work Alec.
That’s awesome! :) thank you for the insight on that. 👌🏽
Thanks, I’ll keep working on it!
Please release your songs man. Pristine stuff!
Thank you so much Bhushan, I’m working on it! :)
Where can we purchase your original music? You always have great demo songs Alec.
Thank you so much Ryan! I have not released any of it yet, but I’m working on figuring out how to best record it.
Sweet!
Thanks Dion! :)
Love your song!
Thank you so much! :)
Hi Alec, thanks for your videos. I really enjoy your music, is it available on Spotify or somewhere?
Thank you so much Paul! :) none of it is up online yet. Busy working on a way to finish recording and mixing the best ones to release in the future.
Sounds great. Your song?
It is my song indeed. :) thank you.
DAMN! Respect!
Thank you! :) it’s a great piece of kit for sure. 👌🏽

As you get more popular Alex tell the manufacturers you'll review it if you get to keep it.
Wouldn’t that be the dream! :)
Great stuff! May I ask how you used this on a stereo bus? Isn’t this a mono unit?
Thank you. :) I never used it on the stereo buss. if there is a stereo source, I print one for the left, and then a second for the right.
are the different colors sound different too? or is it somethig they just offer as an option?
thanks.
I believe it’s just the externals that are different. :) they should all sound the same.
👍
❤️💪🏽
make the volume of your videos louder! especially on laptops it's a bit soft :)
Thanks for the feedback RJ, will keep working on it. :)
Good run through but it would be nice if someone who demoed this $2000 unit showed more than slapback…
Thanks for the feedback. :)
